  1. I seen Gopher's but it was quick and didn't really do it for me. That video of his was more explaining why he uses Pure Waters and taking about it rather than a visual comparison of the two mods. I had about 5-6 more comparisons, but decided to slim it down due to thinking people wouldn't sit around to watch a 9-10 min video. :) I'm of the opinion, after seeing them both in action, that a mesh of the two would be the perfect solution. In some situation WATER is the best and in others Pure Waters wins out for me.
  2. We're not officially comparing these mod so I'm posting here. I've always wanted to see a direct, live comparison between W.A.T.E.R and Pure Waters but I could never find one, so....I did one myself! :D I put this together in about a day's total worth of work and it was my first time using Adobe Premiere Elements so if anything is off, please forgive.  The video is available in HD on YouTube. [video=youtube] https://www.dropbox.com/s/d5pou2r3gqbs84e/Water%20Mod%20Comp%20Update.mp4 Download from Dropbox for best quality.
  3. No idea. I have smithed and smeltered without any issues.
  4. Sound like a bug that needs to be ironed out. Are you using any Smithing mods?
  5. I think a few of the tweaks we have in STEP aren't needed for everyone. For example, the Z-Fighting tweaks...I've never had any issues with this and find it's more for gamers that increase their FOV (which I do not). The iBlur also should no longer be touch from all my testing. Just leave it on its default unless shadow striping occurs.
  6. That's what I meant Torminater. Same results here. It's a go from my end as well.
  7. Well compare it and lets see! Live video will be the best way to compare these mods; showing the candle flame, hearth flames, and spell flames. I'm setting up a detailed comparison myself of a couple mods because I've never been able to find the two mods compared against one another. It's a surprise though! :D
  8. Files are 1024x1024 diff and norm, and no size options. Interesting note that these are 8 times larger then vanilla. Thanks and small detail mods like this that are really high resolution is ridiculous. 512x should be the max and even that is pushing it, IMO.
  9. Thanks! Working now! I would have to say for STEP, Proper (red) would be the right way to go. It's closest to vanilla but still an improvement. The other two change the armor too much. Deadly is a complete deviation from vanilla and the Proper (black) is too similar to the Nightingale armor (as it's the only all black armor in the game that I can recall).
  10. I flushed my cache and forced it to reload...still the same. I go directly to the link on imgur...still the same.
  11. Anyone know that size RT files are? I would be inclined to use the 512x version of the link Torminater posted or if RT has a 512x version if one of these get approved.
  12. Images do not exists... Please try again! :P
  13. I think the Winter Edition would have been too far away from vanilla to even be considered for STEP. I'll be tesing the regular version on Friday, along with some other mods.
  14. Always use the most up-to-date version of any mod unless a specific version is mentioned in the notes on the mod table in the STEP Guide.
  15. Correct. Third-person only. I also want to make sure that the ones reporting the head turning issues that these options were turned off in the MCM menu. Also, please note that some head turning while standing still is normal. The head turning which this is describing is the irrational turning when nothing is around...such as in an open field outside of Whiterun. WIll update OP with this info.
  16. WI (I've noticed we'll abbreviated anything around here ), you are one of the "few select people" of which I was talking about that is helping and contributing. The only ones that seems to be working are the Admins, one or two Mod Testers, and the Moderators. Personally, I don't mind Mod Testing and doing compares. My only issues currently is time and that is the main issue here I think. We need more helpers because we're all limited on time to an extent.
  17. I've come to realize what we are lacking... We are seriously lacking in proper Mod Testers. When it comes down to actually testing the new candidates, the Testers are nowhere to be found. Only a few select people are the ones I've noticed contributing in that area. I think it's time to start demoting those that have not contributed in some time back to normal users so we can actually see how many "active" Testers we have and how many more we need.
  18. This would be amazing! The modular is great for non-STEP users, but using 4 to 5 ESPs for one mod is a bit much for the STEP users. Combine that stuff!
  19. At this point, this mod still needs some more work and maturing until at least Dawnguard is fully implemented.
  20. Looks like a winner if it's better than vanilla and isn't causing the issues (from the sounds of it, it is not). We'll need to keep an eye on Better Animal Footsteps, but right now there is no conflicts. I was surprised actually to find that Better Animal Footsteps didn't have horses.
  21. Regardless, both points and sides are still valid.
  22. Night and Day? They may do the same things, but they are completely separate mods and there was a reason that RLO stopped supporting EL&FX compatibility patches. RLO is superior in my opinion when it comes to realistic lighting and performance.
  23. Source: https://kotaku.com/disney-shuts-down-lucasarts-468473749 LucasArts is officially no more. My personal feelings on this is bittersweet. I feel for the 150+ employees that lost their jobs over this decision; however, LucasArts has failed to impress for some time now. The only games I played and thoroughly enjoyed wasn't even developed by them, but rather BioWare (Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2). I played The Force Unleashed games and though they were okay...they were just..."okay". They were very short games which could have been so much more. So am I upset with Disney? Nope, I can understand their decision on this. R.I.P LucasArts 1982 - 2013
