  1. None right off the bat. I was hoping there would be a few that if I had questions I would be able to ask. Looks like there is! :D I've done a lot of research on it and have watched every video I can think of that covers it and more. (Food, Inc., Forks Over Knives, Hungry For Change, Food Matters, Vegucated, etc) This has been a decision that been in the making for several years. Living in a small town, it's going to be more difficult because a lot of vegetarian products are not readily available. I have noticed that you get a lot of flack from family, friends, and co-workers when you tell them. Comments like: "eww! I could never do that", "that's going to make you fat from all the carbs (uneducated imbeciles! haha!) ", "(when looking at my meal) that looks gross" etc etc etc.
  2. I've not tested them either, but sadly I'm not planning to use an ENB from here on out. With the combination of RLO and CoT, I've found enough visual interest that I can do without it. Plus, I like playing at a higher screen resolution than the ENBs allow on my laptop. With an ENB, I'm forced down to 1366x768. Without one, I can play at max resolution (for this laptop) on high settings; 1600x900. Still, this would be good information to know for the community and is the other half of the reason as to why I created this thread.
  3. So, after years of wanting to go vegetarian but never being able to because of having to take into account other people's choices, I'm finally doing it! I've bought $150 worth of groceries and not a single ounce of meat in sight. I also bought a cookbook, Forks Over Knives, to help me with the meals. I'm curious if there are any other vegetarians here to which I might gain advice/insight from? I should note that I'm not going 100% vegetarian. My goal is to have at least 90% of everything I eat to be vegetarian. (I still love my cheese and eggs ! Also, eating at family gatherings will be nearly impossible to eat vegetarian.)
  4. Thought I would start a thread to keep track of new release and issues of the nVidia drivers. Currently, driver version 320.18 (May 23, 2013) has been released which boasts a 3.3% performance boost for Skyrim at 1920x1080 resolution on max settings. I'm downloading this version now.
  5. TES5Edit v3.0.30 Experimental has been released (June 3rd) for those of you that use this tool and need to update.
  6. If you want to advocate it and no thread from it already exists, then yes.
  7. We're all understand. As it is, I only have 3-4 hours before work or 3-4 hours after work each day unless I'm off. And on those days I have to fill them up with errands that can't be done during the days I work (like laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning, etc). So we're all in the same boat here! Whatever you're able to provide is appreciated.
  8. All this information should be complied into the Hardware Guide ( https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Hardware#tab=HDD_2FSSD ) or a separate guide on the wiki can be made with a link included in the Hardware Guide to the separate guide.
  9. Can someone do the testing on the iLargeRef tweak and report back? It shouldn't take long to test. Those that are having issues please test with it at 131072 (half of STEP recommendation) and then test at default (removed from Skyrim.INI). Are the issues fixed with either. Are there freezes or crashes loading into interiors with either? I would test myself but I'm not have any issues with STEP's recommendation.
  10. It's only relevant for the people that have use for such a thing. I've never had it installed.
  11. I believe it says on the Guide that if there is no recommendation then it's up to the user's preference.
  12. I think I remember reading that the author has cleaned up the scripts to an extent for SkyTest. I'll be posting a list today in the admin forum of the mods that should be considered for removal. I was being coy with my message above about this (being a public thread), but I guess the "cat is out of the bag" about the reduction.
  13. There are a few things that need to happen behind the scenes before this is done, bc I started it and this had to stop.
  14. No weather or lighting mods will be included in Core STEP at this time. We've decided that they all need time to mature in development. CoT was once in STEP and may be reevaluated soon since the completion of 3.1. If anyone would like to head over to CoT's thread and start advocating it we'll look into it for the next release. https://forum.step-project.com/showthread.php?tid=628
  15. I'm going to defer this one to Z, but for now, I'm of the opinion it's not for Core STEP.
  16. No input really. It's been too long since we compared the two. Would need an in-game video compare to really get the true sense of the mods. Comparing fire spells, hearths, campfires....anything with a flame really that these mods would affect. Notice I said, "in-game". No test studios as the effects can look different in the game surroundings than on a blank canvas like the last compares of theses mods were done in.
  17. Honestly, I don't pay much attention the the books in the game so whether this gets added or not, it's not going to affect me personally. However, the real question here is: are the new textures right for core STEP? (personal preferences aside) Kelmych has a good point that most covers are different; however, when you look at old books in RL that would be from a "Skyrim-like" time period, you'll notice that those old books are quite similar because of cost, materials available, skill, etc of the period.
  18. I don't recall there being any in STEP besides you're mod that has anything to do with equipping weapons. Elaborate...it's been a while since I've been on Nexus.
  19. With the recent information, I don't think this is for core STEP. Other admins agree?
  20. So it seems like it would be along the lines of the two mods in testing now; First Person Messages and TTYM. If one of these two are approve this mod could a candidate for a future release as it's in the same realm.
  21. I'm not fond of adding a mod that introduces another bug that needs to be fixed. STEP's core purpose is to fix vanilla bugs and issues while enhancing vanilla aspects of the game without changing them or changing them as little as possible. I'm assuming this bug is not an issues without this mod installed? Meaning this is only a bug associated with this mod?
