  1. Remove the non-STEP items and reinstall them one by one, testing between each install to find what is causing your issue. My suspension is that it's HiAlgoBoost.
  2. Wow... you should use MO! This mod overwrites files from the HRDLC and a couple from Skyrim Realistic Overhaul. Detailed Rugs from STEP overwrites two files from this mod. There are 2 files provided by this mod that are not conflicting by any other mod. So only the HRDLC and SRO are the only two mods from STEP that will need to be reinstalled; however, doing that manually will completely mess up your install order if you're following STEP.
  3. Look at your conflicts tab in MO.
  4. This. If you're running into chokepoints (I never have) then use the fireball version to clear them away in a more lore friendly manner. The only way I could see you running into a ton of chokepoints is via cheating with one-kill shots from weapons or you're leveled enough that when shooting your ranged weapons they kill in one shot and you're doing this while the enemies are running out of the doorways. Valid point if so; however, that is what the fireball version is for.
  5. Added Dynamic Fires to the changelog to be removed. @DY, Can you work your magic on the 2.2.9 Guide so I don't mess it up again? Thanks!
  6. yeah, I don't remember how it did either. I don't think it had proper testing or much thought put into it (especially after seeing how short this thread is). It definitely needs to be dropped though. There hasn't been any updates in forever and the Nexus page has absolutely no description what-so-ever. I'll be marking it to be dropped for this release.
  7. Thought we were done adding new mods in for testing for this round? -_-' Will add it to my testing notes.
  8. I just confirmed this. Disabling Dynamic Fires's ESP fixes the issue with the Giant Campfires. I have been against Dynamic Fires for a long time and here is another reason. The biggest reason is it had (not sure if they've been fixed) issues with some interior fires. You'd go into an Inn and if you stayed long enough the fire would go out and you'd have NPCs gathered around a fire that didn't exist anymore. Those interior fires should not be altered by Dynamic Fires because it's reasonable to believe they'd be maintained where NPCs are gathered around them. The same could be said of any fire (campfires and giant campfires as well) with NPCs gathered around it. If this isn't an issue that the STEP Patches can fix. I'll be removing Dynamic Fires over SDO in my installs.
  9. Just got a new update... Two new weapons added (Orcish Dagger and Scimitar) and several textures reworked.
  10. Trying to do this tool-less so I haven't tried it yet. I did hear back from the author of SG Female Texture Renewal and unfortunately she can't help right now, but gave permission to edit the SG textures. Note: This permission was given to the STEP Team ONLY; no one else. If you want to edit the textures, please contact hellosanta personally. If you know how to edit these textures and want to do it FOR the STEP Team, please PM us here on the forum.
  11. My only complaint about this mod is that texture isn't fine enough (judging from the shots and video...haven't tried it in-game). When snow blows like this it's much closer to the texture of sand. This mod looks like the texture is much larger and actually some chunks are in there. Chunks should only be there if it's snowing from the sky, not being wind blown from the ground. In real life, it actually does look closer to clouds/smoke because the texture visibly is very fine. It only feels gritty, rather than looking gritty. I know this mod aims for a more grit look, but in actuality...well here are some pics on how wind blown snow behaves: Google provides tons of examples: https://www.google.com/search?q=snow+blowing&safe=off&client=firefox-a&hs=Knp&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&channel=fflb&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=7fBPU_O8Ioe2yASi5oKIBg&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=953#channel=fflb&q=wind+blowing+snow&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&safe=off&tbm=isch Before anyone goes posting other photos with gritty snow... I realize there are some that look more gritty but the smoke-like snow is far more common. Here's a great example that is high quality and up close: Full Size: https://2.bp.blogspot.com/_dUNFBa79vlA/TKCLwhX1FSI/AAAAAAAAFlc/qazJjVjx95k/s1600/15.JPG You can really see the texture here with the sun shining through it. That's just my 2 cents and opinion. Take it or leave it.
  12. Unfortunately, that is true.I've sent messages to both the authors of Mature Skin and SG Textures. Now we wait and see if anyone is willing to help us out with a vanilla (+XCE) body texture.
  13. It's XCE so the armors are going to work exactly the same way they have been for STEP. No difference since all we've done is change the texture and normal map.I agree that I'd like a better skin texture than this. The glowy skin is very apparent in some lighting, but so far this is the best we have. We could ask the author to make an option for less glow option...or hell, even an option that is made for the vanilla/XCE body! I'll head over there in a bit and see if this author is still active in the community. As for the seams, I had to look two of three times to see them in those shots. I think that is acceptable because they're hard to notice unless you're looking for them.
  14. Okay, tested that out. The XCE version works very well. This mod only contains one file with alters the normal map of the character. It actually looks fantastic! It fixes that stomach issue that Z was complaining about too (which I total agree with him). Here are some shots: Perfectly athletic stomach and arms! Nice shoulder muscles. It really looks like she could swing those heavy swords around! You can notice a bit of the seam here with the SG Textures. Beautiful back and calves! Load order: XCE SG Textures Renewal Battle Hardened Body Mod
  15. I have not. I downloaded them just now and will test them out this even. Have to go workout now so I can catch up to TheComplier.
  16. You shouldn't have any seams on the basic body replacers themselves. You'll start noticing them when you get to putting skin textures over the vanilla body. (after you've tested armors on CNHF to see the gaps at the wrists youself )
  17. Yes, simply delete them and launch the game. A new "vanilla" set of INIs will be created by the game when it sees them missing. Note that you'll have to reset the settings in the launcher. It's best to simply backup your INIs before doing any editing to them. That way you'll always have a clean set of INIs to restore if needed. Also note, MO uses its own internal INIs that are unique to each MO profile and not the ones stored by the game. To edit those, you'll need to use the INI Editor within MO.
  18. Would be nice to find out this is an issue with the mod and not a driver issue. Mod issues can generally be fixed. Driver issues...not so much.
  19. This has been know for some time now. You'll have to edit the SKSE.ini file to include the memory patch: [Memory]DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768ScrapHeapSizeMB=256This information can also be found on the mod page.
  20. Fertigo Pro is want I use and it is very nice.
  21. Just tried out BI Phenotypes. All three of those bases leave seams as well.
  22. Both. Tried it both ways. Mature Skin UNP over STEP:Core Mature Skin CBBE over STEP:Core SG Textures UNP over STEP:Core Hmmm...it would appear that I never noticed those wrist seams until now. I could have sworn they weren't there before...
  23. UNP version created a seam on the neck. CBBE version created seams on the wrists. (remember that these are installed over XCE and all the fixes that mod includes...so not technically pure vanilla ) Oh lord... Bi Phenotypes doesn't even have proper directories set up.... Authors really need to learn to create FOMODs if they're going to do this stuff.
  24. I've not been keeping up. Mature Skin doesn't work on Vanilla bodies (neither the CBBE nor the UNP versions...both leave seams). I can check out BI Phenotypes though.
  25. Fairer skin does look more smoothed out than the rest. So I can see where the "doll" comment applies. I'll be willing to test out any other textures that are posted with a link. Mature Skin doesn't work on vanilla without seams. SG Textures do. Any other suggestions?
