Flicker Problem with ENBBoost installed.
TechAngel85 replied to BirgerBrun's question in Post-Processing Support
When using ENB presets, turn off all AA in drivers (app controlled) and your INIs (do this in MO for each profile if using MO). Use the ENB AA and/or SMAA to get AA in the game. Turn off AF in your INIs as well. Speedhack needs to be set to true for ENBoost functions to work so turn it back on. Make sure you turn DeferredRendering and UsePostGraphic... back to defaults in enblocal.ini or the preset will not work right. -
STEP v2.2.9.1 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
Yes, check out and make sure the ESP is the last in your plugin list before running. You can let LOOT sort it after. Yes, retain the install order that's presented in the Guide. For future reference, support questions should be asked in the support forums. This topic is for bug reports. -
Need good advice on upgrading my PC
TechAngel85 replied to FuzzRocket9's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I'd make three upgrades. 1. CPU upgrade to quad-core. 2. RAM upgrade to 8GBs total. Dual-channel if possible. 3. GPU upgrade to GTX 770. It'll do what you want but won't cost as much add the latest cards. Those are the lowest budge upgrades I'd make. -
Yes, I whatched an interview today where it was confirmed that modding was one of their focuses. They're making it completely moddable and are going to provide an editor and gameplay source for modders that would allow everything from smaller mods up to total conversions of the game. Sounds like they've opened it up as well as Bethesda for modding. I quote:

New version should be okay. -
Issue with software anti aliasing
TechAngel85 replied to TirigonX's question in Post-Processing Support
I'd make sure your INIs are default ones to eliminate the possibly of a rogue tweak. I don't have any issues and I use ENB AA combined with SMAA on high. My Skyrim is very smooth with this combination. -
bug Don't let the game auto load after death?
TechAngel85 replied to kylhwch's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I've never had an issue with this. -
Quests dialogue options not appearing
TechAngel85 replied to AedanValu's question in General Skyrim LE Support
As long as you have the DLC set up like we instruct you can. If not, you'll just have to clean them again. -
Impact perk not working in STEP 2.2.9.1 Extended?
TechAngel85 replied to notshort's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I'm not playing a character which would have that perk. I'll have to cheat to see if it's working or not in my setup. -
Quests dialogue options not appearing
TechAngel85 replied to AedanValu's question in General Skyrim LE Support
If they're not being modified in any way and there isn't any conditions to meet before the quest starts, then it's not a mod problem because there is no possible way for it to be a mod problem when no mod it touching the quests. -
DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)
TechAngel85 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
As promised, here it is: https://copy.com/oUh0KNAf2IFPN1hp Keep in mind, in the Modlist file, the mods with "+" next to them are the mods which are active in my profile. The ones with "-" next to them are not active. -
That might be nice if you can wade through all the dumb mods that just changes the color of things. "Oooo look! Pink armor and weapon pack!"

DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)

I've not ran into anything I'd call major with this either and it really adds a lot to the feel and liveliness of Skyrim. -
ACCEPTED Timing is Everything (by kryptopyr)
TechAngel85 replied to vfxninjaeditor's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I never got to test this one got because I had already started the game and had a lot of those happen. So I'll go with you on this one because of my experience with Not So Fast has been extremely enjoyable. -
UltraHD - Stormcloak and City Guards (by FrankFamily)
TechAngel85 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I do like the changes. -
Yeah, we should at least time that for this mod.

I seen these a while back. I still play XCOM from time to time and even have it modded a bit to make it more realistic and challenging.

ACCEPTED Not So Fast - Main Quest (by cdcooley)
TechAngel85 replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
***STORYLINE SPOILER ALERT*** You must be thinking of another mod. This one only has the option of setting the number of days before the main story continues. This does changes the way and timing that some parts of the main quests are completed, But I don't think its lore/vanilla breaking changes. The main change was that the messages come by Couriers now. In a way this makes perfect sense and could be seen as a "realism" fix for those that like realism. I always thought it odd that as soon as you gave the NPCs the Dragonstone....BAM!....instant dragon attack....then when you go to collect the horn...BAM!...it's already stolen and replaced with a note for the Dragonborn to come see Delphine. How did she know that the dragonborn was sent to retrieve that horn that fast? Information didn't travel that fast back then. This mod gives timing between these events. You find the dragonstone....and...nothing. Well, okay but it makes sense because would Delphine not have to study the stone before she could find out the the "pattern" to the dragon's raising from the dead? The gap between getting the stone and the first dragon attack where you find out you're dragonborn fixes this "instant knowledge" by allow Delphine to study the stone for several days. The second event about Delphine being so quick to know where to go to steal the horn and leave a note....that's fixed with the wait for the second event. This wait allows for several days to pass before you receive a message from a Courier to come see her. That time frame of the dragonborn and who he/she is much more accurate to me. Delphine shouldn't have known where to go to steal that horn so quickly and there is no evidence in the game to support the "theory" that she had prior knowledge to what the Greybeards would have the dragonborn do, in order to steal it when she heard the "voice" echo across Skyrim. With all that said, I'm fine with Extended. I just wanted to put the other side of the coin out there in case no one ever thought about those things. By the way, I'm recommending this to be set to 7 days for both settings. This allows you time to gear and level up if you so desire, or you can take time to build your player home from Hearthfire and have a good home built and ready to go so you don't have to worry about doing it later in the game. Basically it gives you the option to experience Skyrim a bit more in the way you want to experience it. I found myself talking to a lot more NPCs and actually listening to them. With these settings I reached level 14 before the continuation of the story with Delphine (second setting). I've skilled up enough that I find the game enjoying, yet still challenging instead of being too challenging and causing you to avoid higher level opponents so you could continue to grind on the lower level ones until you level up enough. -
ACCEPTED Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin (by Preeum)
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Performance will vary based on system and settings. Clipping isn't a big deal. SFO grass clips all over Skyrim so that's nothing new. -
I haven't checked, but as far as I know the update was just a SkyProc fix because of the new USKP. Yes, switch it back.

ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
TechAngel85 replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I don't like them either. Not very "Nordic". -
Discussion thread: Verdant - A Skyrim Grass Plugin by Preeum Wiki Link This is a beautiful grass mod which overhauls the grasses in Skyrim. Each region has its own unique style which blend in well with the other textures for the region. This mod also claims to be performance friendly while still providing lush grass since it uses the Grass on Steroids tweak. Verdant also removes the "grass rocks" from the game similar to Insignificant Object Remover; however, it also removes all underwater kelp as well. This mod is compatible with SFO, however, install it after SFO. This way you get SFO Trees with Verdant grasses. Those installing this mod with ICAIO will need to forward some location records added by ICAIO: 00009307000099B6000099B70000932700009750As of version 2.2, Verdant is not up-to-date with the latest USLEEP release (v3.0.6). Users will need to forward the following records: 0000929A0000BC34

You can run your entire load order through xEdit, if you know what you're doing in there. That would best way to find out what is causing this issue. -
ACCEPTED Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD (by Sheson)
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That is the case. Sheson had already stated you do not need to check them. -
ACCEPTED Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD (by Sheson)
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Those "spam" messages were added because some people either closed the windows for it was finished or could have because you were given the "completed" message while LODGen was still running. Sheson added the wait timer to help prevent this. It could be updated every 10-30 seconds though. 5 seconds is a bit excessive.
