  1. I've had this issue in a few "exterior dungeon" locations. I swore it was DynDOLOD, but no one was ever able to confirm and I wasn't able to look into it further at the time.
  2. I've noticed that is an issue in the small farmhouses when I was working on Jaggarsfeld. You have to be really careful or you'll have too much very quickly. I never fully fixed it in Jaggarsfeld. Haha! If it's not finished, then I bet we can find someone to finish that marker up. SparrowPrince is on a break, but is an ace working with NIFs.
  3. I would say verify your file cache fir the first issue. The flare with forges is a common issue for some ENB users and the SMIM forge changes. Install those SMIM assets or hide them and that should go away.
  4. I wonder if it's hard for authors to implement? If not, I'll PM a couple about adding support for it.
  5. What are your memory settings in enblocal.ini?
  6. Agree. Would be nice if more of these mods supported FISS.
  7. Yeah, those are not actuate at all to what I've seen and I've tried out most of those mods. Character and lighting is definitely skewing the results.
  8. Yes, you'll need to forward records into a custom patch to make sure everything is working properly. Fences, fallen tree,... anything that is going to add objects to the game which would potentially have different or new textures of LODs will require to re-run DynDOLOD.
  9. In your enblocal.ini change this: FixParallaxTerrain=true to this: FixParallaxTerrain=false
  10. We're talking about load order here (plugins) not mod order (left MO pane). So there shouldn't be any issues. Just make sure they are listed in the order they should be when running LOOT. If they are not, make a Meta Rule so they are. RWT is a requirement of the STEP Patches so you can not remove it without removing the forwards from the Patches first. The good thing about WATER is that it's been made to be compatible with the other water mods. Visit this article and scroll down until you see the "Other Water Mods" section. You can leave our SM&SF without issue. It'd place these at the bottom of 2.J. Animations & Effects. You're going to have to dig in and do some work in xEdit to get everything perfectly sorted out, though. If there are no asset conflicts, then you can really place it anywhere you want. As for animations, I'm not sure on the order those mods need to be in, but you'll need to re-run DSR and FNIS when adding new animations. Basically, all these mods can work together, but as I mentioned above. You're going to have to do some custom patching in xEdit (TES5Edit).
  11. I just cringed a little bit. True stories... I've worked as a freelance computer repair guy off and on over the years. If there were ever viruses and/or spyware issues on a computer to the point that it was causing a lot of issue, one of two AVs was installed on the computer. McAfee or Norton. Seriously! From a tech's prospective those bloated AVs are simply junk. Avast has gotten a little bloated over the years too, but it's still one of the better ones. I also worked at Staples for a time as a Resident Tech. They ONLY push Norton AV because Staples gets an incentive in the form of $$$ with every copy of Norton they sell. I was required to offer it as a first option and tell the customer the "wonderful benefits" of the AV. Also, the Resident Techs are all idiots. Well, I should say that Staples makes them idiots because of not actually working on your computer when you drop it off. All they hook it up to a line and let someone remote in to fix it. Yep, about the only real repairs they do is replacing parts and spraying out the dust. Needless to say...I didn't work there long because everything I was required to do went against my better judgement or personal values.
  12. Using Alternate Start is a viable option, but dumping yourself into the game from the main menu is not a good idea. When we test, we do it as if we're actually playing the game and set up a couple specific saves for doing so. I have one vanilla save with no mods and I have one save with a full STEP install, nothing extra on top. These are my two testing profiles I use for test.
  13. Yes, Copy would be great for hosting project files. It's what we do here at STEP. Any time you see us mention the "Copy Share", that's what we're referring to. I can set up a private forum with a thread(s) and only allow specific users to see it. That's no problem. We have that very same thing set up for GamerPoets. The wiki can also handle what Aiyen is suggesting. I can even set up a few templates to make things easier and uniform. With a simple, {{complete}} or {{needs attention}}, a custom icon, quote, or both can be displayed next to a mod. The wiki can also do sub-pages with breadcrumb links for any location that needs more attention or explanation.
  14. 1. I don't use wallpapers. My computer background is plain black. (I know, boring... but it's easier on the eyes) 2. Asus monitor. 1920x1080. 3. IPS because of the great viewing angles and more accurate colors. 4. I rarely use these either but if I do is usually just a smiley face or 5. ... 6. If it's from a fountain, soda. If it's from a bottle or can, pop. 7. MS Security Essentials. Seriously. It's lightweight and perfect for users that know what they're doing on the Net. For other users, Avast.
  15. I'm not sure what you're asking, Z.
  16. We don't delete posts, I'll spilt it out though when I'm at my computer. I'll also give you a more proper reply then as well. On my phone right now.
  17. This is exactly why I can't stand effects like screen effects. I want to see through the PC's eyes, not through a camera where you can clearly see the splashes on the screen.
  18. I HATE DoF, as well! It's the first thing I turn off in any ENB Preset I use. It's gimmicky and unrealistic. I understand that it helps hide z-fighting, but I don't care. I'd rather the z-fighting.
  19. Not saying AppData is wrong. It's just a concern for the everyday users. Most modders are potentially in the"power user" category, though. As long as MO has in-app ways of managing things like the downloaded mods and profiles (which it does), I don't see too much of an issue with the AppData folder. It's just a change from what we've been used to for so long that it came as a bit of a surprise. I personally offload this from my C drive for space reasons, so I'm glad to here it can be customized.
  20. I agree that separate versions are no longer needed when the legendary version can be bought for $10 most of the time on sale. Also the community is slowly moving to legendary-only. Unofficial patch team, STEP, most the well-known mod authors, etc. It cuts out a lot of extra work. But in the flip side, as Kesta pointed out, if it's easy to provide them, then they're really is no reason not to.
  21. Tis the joys of modding! :)
  22. You can now downsample with the drivers. It's at least an option in GeForce Experience now. I personally use EdgeAA+SMAA Injection on the medium preset. I never see a single jaggy on my IPS monitor (ran at 1080p). I've heard downsampling is good, but only if you can afford the performance hit.
  23. Best advice it is to copy your good profile and add on top of the copy. That way if something goes wrong, you'll have a good profile to fall back on.
  24. STEP current support testing in such a manner. It's buggy and misses things due to not loading up the game properly. You should avoid this.
  25. I'd suggest allowing the user to choose and only fall upon a predetermined location as a backup if the user doesn't make a choice. The user's My Documents folder would be better. It's where Skyrim stores the user editable data like the INIs and makes more sense.
