ACCEPTED Relighting Skyrim (by NovakDalton and JawZ)
TechAngel85 replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I think what JawZ is saying is there were no actual lightbulbs associated with those candles so he's replaced them with a mesh without the flame...Just the candle. I could be wrong, but I guess you could have just added a few bulbs too. Might have been too much for the space though. -
SKYRIMLE Project Parallax Remastered (by Osmodius)
TechAngel85 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Vivid Landscapes (non-parallax) was in our review when redoing the landscaping with SRO's dropping from the Guide. It was almost always at the bottom of the list for compares because it changes the landscape entirely too far away from vanilla. -
ACCEPTED Auto Unequip Ammo (by Alek)
TechAngel85 replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nor have I, but if that feature is somehow being enabled due to an error in coding or something similar, then it could still be this mod. It's simply a possibility atm, but more investigation is definitely needed if three of the staff has noticed this behavior.- 10 replies

ACCEPTED Auto Unequip Ammo (by Alek)

Are we sure it's this mod doing it? I've not tested it with the mod not installed to see if the issue remains or not.- 10 replies

DROPPED STEP Optimized Vanilla Textures (by z929669)
TechAngel85 replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Okay, so I've tried multiple times without luck to upload the new Standard version. Every time I end up with a message "the connection was reset". So I'm going to sync the files to the STEP Copy Share. If one of the other staff could download them and attempt to upload them, that would be great! -
What do you mean by main files in the STEP Guide?
TechAngel85 replied to Fauwyr's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Nexus file categories found on the "Files" tab on mod pages. Main Files, Optional Files, Updates, Old Versions, etc. -
So I see some of it was done, but not all. Are these settings with no descriptions? I know I had to go to the mod pages to completely fill out some of them.

When it comes to the wiki I have to read the manual every time!

Losing up to 12fps in average after applying the STEP INI Guide - why?
TechAngel85 replied to elwaps's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Not really, just install ENBoost and see if the crashes stop. -
Skyrim - Vivid Vividian ENB Colours
TechAngel85 replied to Pheyne's question in Post-Processing Support
Yep, that's it. As Aiyen mentioned, it will also look different depending on your weather. If you don't like the vivid version, try the vanilla version. I use the vanilla when I do use it. Right now I am using ELEP, though. -
Wiki page is 1/2 to 2/3's done now....there are a LOT of settings and this is a bigger project than I thought it would be. Thanks to Greg and Neb for your help on the page!

Skyrim - Vivid Vividian ENB Colours
TechAngel85 replied to Pheyne's question in Post-Processing Support
The bold font are masters and they cannot be moved. If you need settings from these masters loaded later in the load order, you would normally use a plugin (ESP) with the settings within it and place that where it needs to be. The shimming is specular (shininess from lighting like the shimmering of light off water) which is found the the texture's alpha channel. This can be somewhat controlled via the settings in enbseries.ini (or using the in-game GUI; Shift+F12). Sometimes it's bad enough though that the texture itself needs to be altered to have less specular. -
DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)
TechAngel85 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I can tell you one thing to never do and that is generate navmeshes for all worlds. I did this once while still learning and it filled my plugin with navmeshes for all of Skyrim! Do. Not. Do! -
DROPPED Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul (by Shurah)
TechAngel85 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The highlighted part above is really the only question left that both authors and users have. I'll ask again, Is there more to the navmeshes than just allowing for the NPCs to be able to navigate the terrain? Does it interact with AI in any other way than that? If so, would you be willing to explain so that I may understand more clearly the interaction between AI and Navmeshes? I'm planning on doing a house mod of my very own making (not just fixing someone else's work as I have been doing) and would very much like to know if there is more interaction other than just allowing the NPCs to navigate around correctly. -
Skyrim - Vivid Vividian ENB Colours
TechAngel85 replied to Pheyne's question in Post-Processing Support
The only other thing I can think of off the top of my head is to make sure everything is patches correctly in xEdit. Vividian come with patches for most of the mods it supports, so make sure you're using the right ones and check in xEdit to make sure nothing is overwriting them. -

You should definitely use ENBoost and see if that helps. -
Skyrim - Vivid Vividian ENB Colours
TechAngel85 replied to Pheyne's question in Post-Processing Support
Also, make sure you're not using the ELFX Enhancer. It don't think it's compatible with Vividian. It's not compatible with a lot of mods actually. -
DROPPED STEP Optimized Vanilla Textures (by z929669)

The Performance version finally uploaded. I'm attempting the Standard version now...again...for the 5th time. The file is so huge it keeps failing. -
Mod Organizer 2 Discussion and Feedback
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's question in Mod Organizer Support
Really... Downloads in AppData? That seems like an odd choice of location to put the downloaded mods. Most everyday users are not going to know to look for them there and might start wondering where in the world that extra 20GBs of data is being stored on their C drives. It is more standardized with other programs that way, but still.... EDIT: I do like that he's now attempting to support multiple games with one installation though. I can have Skyrim and FO4 all in one application. Good move! -
DROPPED Trees HD Skyrim Variation (by namotep)
TechAngel85 replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You should be able to follow Neo's instructions for SRLE: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition#Skyrim_Flora_Overhaul Trees HD is right below it in the list. -
DROPPED Trees HD Skyrim Variation (by namotep)
TechAngel85 replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Sorry, we can only maintain one version of the mod for STEP. Too much maintenance otherwise. We will be looking into the newer versions of SFO eventually, though there is no time frame.
