  1. You are correct and that is what I meant. It's still early for me. :) 6 total. 3 shadow casts per area, unless there is significant distance between them.
  2. No ETA....probably still months away. Most of the staff is pretty inactive right now.
  3. There is no dev file yet and the texture pack compliments.
  4. No, it's 6 lights total and a max of 3 shadow casters per mesh. Some instruction from JawZ:
  5. This will be caused more by ELFX than RS. ELFX adds more lights than it should in order to adjust brightness in some locations rather than simply adjusting the bulb settings. Only 6 lights can hit a single mesh before they "flicker". ELFX can add up to 3 bulbs for a single source and that is the reason they're having to edit meshes. They are simply "splitting" meshes into different parts to overcome this, but that should only be necessary on very large meshes.
  6. Then as long as you set the LOOT rules correctly, the lighting should be correct.
  7. Yeah, install ELE - Interiors with it.
  8. I did. They look good.
  9. Yes, this mod does need an update.
  10. It will take several more months until just the base lights are replaced in all locations. This doesn't account for the effect lighting, lighting templates, etc. There still lots of work to do there and it's been a lil while since everyone has worked on it full-steam due to life and other personal modding projects.
  11. Why are you using a torch inside Dragonsreach? At any rate, while we're working on Relighting Skyrim - Remastered, this is something that we're specifically checking for. Once that is released (a long way off), then that problem will be gone.
  12. You'd have to use console commands to test those types of things out quickly. Such as "COC" to quickly travel to locations and other commands that will give you items, quests, etc.
  13. I, too, read and selectively install updates but the majority still end up getting installed. There are a few that I read over and say, "uh...yeah, I don't think Microsoft". This is how I am currently not bothered by the Windows 10 upgrade "bloatware". But I still ran this tool for the registry fix for this issue, just in case I miss something. Can never be too careful.
  14. Yeah, already stated that Vivid Weathers is installed. It's not vanilla.
  15. I won't be able to do that for a while. Starting to think it's something for April fools... [emoji38]
  16. I don't like installing things that I don't know what they are or their effects. Googling, "cinematic nautic effect" reveals nothing after three pages of results so I'm assuming it's a phase pulled out of the imagination. "Nautic" is referring to "nautical" which has to do with sailors, ships, and navigation so I'm completely at a loss to know what sort of changes this makes to the rains. It's a rather confusing choice of words for a description for changes to the rains. I'm not dissing. I'm just pointing out that the small description provided really provides no knowledge of what the addon does besides changes the rain effects. I honestly don't have time to sit down and test a bunch of weathers and compare them to the original weathers, atm. This is why I'm asking what the changes are and possibly some screenshots/compares. I haven't even played my new playthrough in going on a week now. I'll just wait for some users to post them, if it comes to that or wait until I actually have a couple hours to do a good compare.
  17. I'm not bothered by it, but it was a bit of a concern on my system if I added an ENB to the mix. I either use Vividian Vanilla version or JawZ's ELEP with just a select few effects enabled. ELEP provides no FPS loss on my system while Vividian Vanilla is around 5 to 15 FPS loss depending on the area.
  18. *Patiently awaits more information about Special Edition with Screenshots*
  19. Leo! Man, I haven't seen him in years! I downloaded this and it does what it says. Very simple, very nice!
  20. Ess will have to confirm if it's needed for the Core Patch or not.
  21. Install the DX9 Runtimes.
  22. I just found out how ELFX is set up and it is improperly, though I haven't verified it myself...just read it. I'm surprised they haven't gotten more complaints about lights flickering on and off. If it's true, probably never use that mod. Basically to increase the intensity of the lights they just stack the lights on top of one another, rather than adjusting the light bulb settings. This is bad because only a certain amount of lights can be placed before you get lights "turning on and off". This is the reason Relighting Skyrim disables some of the "light source objects", like candlehorns; because you can't provide realistic lighting in a farmhouse with 14 light sources in it! :O_o: From my working with the RSR team: Would be nice if they fixed this with FO4's engine.
  23. Or...simply install a second instance of MO for your testing and copy your profiles over from your "good install" into the new MO you'll be using for testing. I do this for when I'm modding in the CK so a can do what I want without messing with the profile I use for actual play.
  24. There is a non-ELE patch already available in the STEP Compilation. Just uninstall ELE and run the STEP Compilation installer.
