  1. You get used to the effect, it's just off-putting the first couple times you see it. The first time I seen it was outside Solitude and it looked even heavier than that.
  2. It's possible, but I'm level 13. I've just never noticed such dumb behavior before and this is the only one that should be affecting them in any way. No other NPCs are doing this either. That was my thinking too. No one to report it or anyone who saw your face left alive so it shouldn't trigger the Thalmor to seek you out.
  3. Here more of the effect I was talking about: When it rains, you don't really see the rain streaking down like that unless it's being lit up by a light source. Some examples:
  4. Looks too dark and looks... cel shaded now, but it fits in a bit better. Still some room for improvement.
  5. Found a glitch with this mod. Not really a glitch. More of a cheat. Spoiler Alert! Don't continue reading unless you want some details to be spoiled. Nothing major. Okay, so I have it checked for the Thalmor to leave me alone until after the Diplomacy quest (when they actually have a good reason to). I have yet to complete that quest; however, I do have the Missing in Action quest in which you can storm a Thalmor hold to free a certain captive. I'm an archer and have just learned that because of the scenario and mod option, I am able to stay reasonably close to the fort and pick off the Thalmor without them attacking me. In fact, they will not attack me unless I'm pretty much standing inside the perimeter of the fort. With this I could most likely also attack the Thalmor along the roads from a distance without them doing a thing in return. The guards in the fort were simply going along their day like nothing was happening while being filled with arrows.
  6. The STEP Patches has the Unofficial Patches as masters, if I'm not mistaken. I don't have that old patch laying around to check it. All you would need to do is change those masters to USLEEP and Mator's conversion script would most likely do that without any issues. Everything else is basically the same. USLEEP has all the fixes incorporated that you would have had individually with the individual UPs so I see no issue. Here's the script I'm talking about: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71316/?
  7. Mods also have to fall within the STEP Mandate to even be considered in the first place. Mods for Core inclusion must stay strictly within the vanilla artistic direction or be fixes to broken aspects of the vanilla game. Extended is more lax and is ultimately what the community and we (staff) feel is right for STEP. The staff has the final say and it even takes new staff a while to catch on to what is "right" for STEP and what isn't because over time STEP had developed its own style as well.
  8. Some authors include tweaked vegetation with lower saturation for this reason. I know Skylight by Aiyen does so you could check that out, sm0kem. It would be nice for this to be offered as an optional download file.
  9. Constructive feedback is welcome and should be posted on the feedback thread. We've already gone through the Guide several times "as a noob" and clarified several tasks, but the more detailed the feedback the better.
  10. I haven't checked the recent Steam updated to see if they changed something with the overlay, but I've played though a level 12 character after rolling back the driver without issue.
  11. Btw, the only performance hit I get with this is during some foggy weathers when you can tell you're passing through a "volumetric" and drop down 15FPS. Other than that, I've stayed at a solid 60FPS.
  12. Because 1.87 is the last version that stuck close to vanilla. We're going to evaluate the newer versions, but that takes a lot of time and effort so it hasn't been done yet. I think I'm using the full model. I'm not sure, would have to check. I have not performance loss though.
  13. I can confirm this mods doesn't "give" your followers a horse from out of nowhere. I have yet to purchase a second horse to see if that works. So far I like the ease-of-use with this mod. I have changed my standing and mount activation to mounting and dismounting the horse and hotkey-ed the default horse menu to the "H" key. So far this has worked very well for me.
  14. That should probably be from Serious HD for the normal unless the normal from Skyrim HD looked better. I don't remember what we decided for the road textures so I'll have to go back and look.
  15. That's where you have to start deviating from STEP: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16225/? I have several mods installed that aren't in STEP because of my play-style. I'll probably recommend a few of them like Archery Gameplay Overhaul which makes archery far more realistic.
  16. That is from Radiant and Unique Potions and Poisons HD so make sure you have that installed properly.
  17. That looks great manga, is that current video or upcoming? What I was seeing was so strong it looked like a heavy lens effect.
  18. Isn't this the one we already have in STEP?
  19. Here's the reference images: SFO 1.87 basic and Vivid Weathers Just too green for the surrounding textures.
  20. Totally agree with your reasoning. On the color, I should note that I have Vivid Weathers installed which ups the saturation, but it's still too green, imo, for the area which they're placed. I bet if you hit up vurt, he'll whip something up for you for SFO users or at least give some pointers. The bark is actually pretty good, so kudos on that! The leaves needs some...variation in the tones. That's the best way I know to describe it. Hit up zilav or sheson for the lod.
  21. A nice addition would be a more transparent heavy rain texture. I personally don't find the white streaks very immersive.
  22. Yep, this mod adds a lot of new ingredients and I knew that, but I wasn't expecting an entirely new tree. :) The harvest overhaul is much appreciated! I haven't done any cooking, but so far this is a good mod...though that tree needs a new leaf texture to better fit in with SFO.
  23. Same here. I have a whole plastic storage tub full of my old DVDs that I haven't touched in at least two to three years now. Also haven't had any type of TV service in at least 8 years.
  24. Okay, thanks for the clarification. I'll test this mod as soon as I get a follower.
