  1. Skip to around 7:50 to pass all the stuff we've already heard 100 times by now:
  2. Says he's not doing the architectural metals so here again would be only half the puzzle. :: The texture look great though so many someone with the skills can get permission to use the textures for the architecture. Then, I think, we'd have our solution.
  3. Okay, I ran it again (whole thing) and it took 10 mins. CPU maxed out a few times but nothing serious. Temps stayed low. No idea what was going on in that first run but all is well now. This was with the 2.04Beta.
  4. Nope, on an Intel Core i5 (K model but not overclocked). It's still on the stock cooler. I could run the whole things again to watch the stats to see if it's being throttled back due to temps. This was on a STEP Extended profile so the only trees that are touched come from SFO v1.87. So no custom files. I'll run it all at once again and watch my CPU settings. Then I'll try the worlds one at a time, if need be.
  5. Here is my log, Sheson: https://mega.nz/#!11k11ZzD!uhsavgXjujLBbJPCPk_Bs8kSM48eJWnU_kmESr_WZ1I
  6. I can post it with I get home from work.
  7. My time actually increased. :( It used to take around 25 mins. Now it takes around 40 mins. This was from a clean install; generating all files. CPU was maxed out too.
  8. Only the fixes have been incorporated. Jaggarsfeld Extended (JE) users don't need to update anything until I shut the mod page down. Updating to the recent update will just cause a but of ITMs as per the warning I put up on the description. This is because for most of the fixes, I was able to simple carry them over in xEdit. Only a few things had to be done by hand. The navmeshes have not been fixed yet either. So for now, I would recommend current JE users to not update. What is going to happen is that I will be separating the extra content from Jaggarsfeld Extended into modular downloads on the Jaggarsfeld page. Want follow support? Install the optional for it. Want better lighting? Install the optional for it as well. Of course I'll have a combined plugin option for those wanting all the modules.
  9. Did you follow the updating procedures? Sounds like you kept the old DynDOLOD.esp. I prevent all my woes by simply redoing everything from scratch when I update. That means I delete all files and remove the mods completely to start fresh. I never run into any issues doing this.
  10. What Z was trying to say is, that everything in the Guide is related to STEP, our mission, and our mandates. Mods that are not covered in the Guide have no relation to STEP and, thus, such edits or additions make no sense to add to the main Guide. Those type of changes are for Packs rather than putting them in the main STEP Guide. The Pack would cover everything you're wanting.
  11. I haven't but I haven't been on the wiki all day since to determine that. I will say the responsiveness seems better.
  12. Fact of the matter is there are thousands of mods out there. What makes these few mods any more special than the others to need to call them out? Basically we would need to call them all out or none to be fair. A generalized statement might be okay, but it's "best practice" to follow Z's advice and install STEP first to ensure it's running smoothly. However, if you know you're going to be installing other mods later, you can grab them now to ensure you have all the patches you need instead of fumbling through the Guide to try to determine what has a patch and what doesn't. It's just an option.
  13. Also keeping the same options and only changing one texture at a time. Each of your compares have different texture options so it's impossible to really use. If you're comparing snow, keep the ice texture the same in all shots and only change the snow texture and vice versa. Do this until you have all compares done. For a proper compare, you'll have probably 60+ shots or more when comparing all options like you have. Landscape compares takes a lot, and I mean a LOT, of time and compares. It's the main reason we did the Skyrim HD compares behind the scene. We love the community, but some things like that need laser focus and commitment to do.
  14. DirectX 9 under Windows 10 is crippled and I can not recommend it until they fix it. Too many games that users still play still run on DX9. This is especially true since we're taking about a modded Skyrim.
  15. You're compares are interesting, but they're not laid out for how we compare things around here so it's rather difficult to use them for proper compares.
  16. You can use it, but if you do be sure to grab the related billboards for DynDOLOD.
  17. Right now the best OS for gaming is still Win7 64-bit.
  18. I'm using all of the new files and do recommend them.
  19. For this mod, it's just the newer 2.x versions.
  20. Ah well... The first story came from my grandma. She told me my grandpa once saw a 'UFO' while working in the mountains. He described it as lights in a circle with lights crossing the center. Apparently several days later they found a man dead in the area. This was years and years ago, but he never did like talking about it. The second is a personal one from when I was younger (teenager). It was night and my mom was driving my sister and I to one of her friend's house. Her house was in an older town about 10 miles away. When we pulled in the driveway we all three saw a woman in a longer white "moo-moo" gown stand up off the porch steps, open the door to the house, and walk inside. It was late so we didn't think anything of it. The only thing was, when we were in the house, 3 minutes later, everyone was in the living sitting fully clothed in their daytime clothes. We asked them and they said no one had been outside in a few hours, yet we clearly all saw this event when pulling up to the house. I remember it giving me the willies when I was that age.
  21. Status Update If you haven't seen my new post on Nexus, there have been some developments; thanks to SparrowPrince's...pecking. :: Basically, one of the authors contacted me and through some discussion Darth granted me access to the original Jaggarsfeld mod. They have both retired from modding so I will now be maintaining Jaggarsfeld. The reigns are in my hands as of this moment. I couldn't resist updating the mod page to add in a proper changelog section and enabling the bug reports. I'll go over the page soon to breathe some fresh air into it. So what does this mean? For Jaggarsfeld, it means I'll be updating the original mod with all the fixes I did for Jaggarsfeld Extended. This will only be the fixes, though. No custom additions will be carried over due to one stipulation of managing it; an "original Jaggarsfeld" is to always be available for download. This means for those users which just wants the original mod, you can now have now it with fixes included once I update the mod. I've already carried over what I could in xEdit. Now just the CK work is left. For Jaggarsfeld Extended...I will most likely retire the mod and Nexus page after a transition period. It just makes more sense to manage everything from one location. Jaggarsfeld Extended will now become "extensions". I am probably going to breaking it down into a few module plugins so that users can have the choice of installing what option they do and do not want.
  22. A lot of users do not use the STEP Patches and instead create their own. Basically, if you're going to use the STEP Patches, you can skip installing it. If you're going to create your own custom patch instead, you'll need to install it to have the STEP lineup.
  23. The Contributors badge is used for those that contribute directly to STEP. These guides really have nothing to do with STEP. Some of them aren't even Packs. I wouldn't be against adding some sort of badge, though.
