  1. I have yet to jump into papyrus. I actually don't care for programing. JavaScript was okay. C# in college was terrible. Actually, I dropped that class as it was suppose to have been Java programing and they changed it to C# without telling any of the students. This was due to the main programing teacher being ill and replaced with a substitute that only knew C#. I was upset about it not being the class I signed up for so I dropped it. C# would have have been helpful to my planned career at that point. The extent of most of my programing skills is XHTML and CSS which I taught myself. Papyrus is something that I will probably need to dabble in for my house mod (most likely), but it's not something I'm looking forward to.
  2. That's basically how I do it as well. It causes you to have to clean up your saves a lot, but it's the best way. Just hands off the mouse once you've clicked to load the save!
  3. Yeah, if this is tested and accepted it will be placed after Better Males as a skin replacer. I have yet to find the time to test it.
  4. The crash fixes I would say should only be used by those experiencing those issues. The game never crashes or freezes on me regardless of how long I play.
  5. Yeah, it kinda sucks that some of the bigger authors have moved over to FO4, leaving some of their mods unfinished with issues. I'm sure he'll return eventually though.
  6. There was something about the reproc that needs updating s while back, though I can't remember what it was. If the mod you're installing hasn't been updated, then this is likely the issue. I just can't remember what it was....hopefully someone else will.
  7. I still haven't been able to get this title. Glad it's everything you hoped for! Makes me more excited about it.
  8. I've had this one open in a tab for a few days. I'm just tracking it to see if any major issues are found or not. If not, I'm all for adding this to STEP.
  9. Okay, then we can mark it for testing again. Especially since we decided to stick with SRO that last round and that mod is no more. Marked for Testing.
  10. You mean that bars at the top and bottom? From the FAQs:
  11. The ENB files, yes. Any files that Real Vision includes that are assets (textures, meshes, etc) gets installed with your mod manager. If you're using MO, you shouldn't be putting things directly into the data folder. This is why I dislike Real Vision. The author makes something simple more complicated by adding a custom installer which often causes issue. I've probably troubleshooted that installer more than any ENB.
  12. Has anything changed since the last time we put this through testing? I've gone back and read the results and even you voted no in the end. I'm afraid if it hasn't been updated, then my analysis is not likely to change.
  13. DynDOLOD wouldn't have anything to do with it, but if you have the files in the Data folder...that is wrong. The ENB files go in the Skyrim folder.
  14. They may have a valid use there...but in this case, only one is being installed. If I looked over where the OP said multiple ENBs are being tested, please forgive.
  15. Why are you use an ENB manager? ENBs are simple to install. Just copy and paste the files into the Skyrim folder. That's all those managers are doing. No need for to have a program to do that.
  16. I agree. We need a whole dwemer overhaul, not pieces here and there. I still want to check these out in-game though and in their natural environment. I'm completely ignoring the shots outside Riverwood. These things aren't found in such an environment.
  17. The game INIs, not the mods. You shouldn't change anything in it either though; not for STEP.
  18. Double check your INIs. Ensure you only have the edits we provide.
  19. It's in testing so we do plan to compare the two to see which is better.
  20. The papyrus log is rarely a helpful troubleshooting tool for anyone both the mod's author.
  21. Ensure you have Trees HD installed and followed the steps to hide the textures.
  22. Z is referring to the non-STEP mods in your load order. It's a lot harder for us to troubleshoot when users have mods installed that aren't part of the STEP lineup. This is why you got the response you did and is also the reason we say for users to get a stable STEP build before adding on any extra mods on top.
  23. Yes, that's what I was talking about too. :)
  24. Yep. It's Accepted. Still has a testing tag so we know to move it and add it to the various places it needs to be added (changelog, dev OP, etc).
  25. Most authors are good peeps and will not mind. Glad it worked. Not so hard, is it. ::
