SkyProc patcher not working correctly
Halde replied to Halde's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I have previously used it with great success many times. The access thing makes sense. I have previously had trouble deleting mods due to restricted access. I will try it later, thank you! -
Hi all! So after installing the newest version of DSR, I obviously wanted to run the patch. The patching itself runs smoothly. When it's done it creates af folder called "Dual Sheath Redux Patch". In this folder is two more folder called "Files" and "SkyProcDebug". In the Files folder is a file called "tmp.esp". This .esp does not show up in load order after creating and activating the mod. And the old "Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp" seems to not exist anymore. In the SkyProcDebug file is a .txt file called "Debug Overview" in which this is stated: [159] [Mod Export] Exporting Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp[160] [Consistency] Exporting Consistency file.[161] [sUM] Closing program after successfully running patch. And yet "Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp" is never created. As a result it seems, my Skyrim does not, ingame, recognize a DSR patch. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could shed some light on this matter. ~SincerelyHalde

Hi all! So I've just installed ELFX, because RLO is way too cozy and warm, and I know not of any other lighting mods. However, it doesn't seem to do anything, which leads me to believe that I've installed it wrong, although it seems pretty straightforward. I've tried reinstalling it a couple of times, which was futile. I don't use any other mods that change light or lighting, not do I use ENB. If any of you know of this mod, I choose the "Exterior" option and the "no candle smoke" option during all 3 installation tries. I installed the DG, DB and SMIM patch, in that order. Btw, it's been a while since I've updated any of my mods, so my SMIM is not up-to-date, but I can't believe that the SMIM patch not matching SMIM should cause the entire mod to malfunction. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Now the minor issue, is something I might think is a cursor problem, or a Vsync problem. When I look from an upward or downward angle (as in, I push my mouse forward, or pull it back), I start getting this "stutter". It's not real stutter, nor lag, but it has more or less the same effect. It's like a little annoying imp is pushing on the edge of my screen. ~Sincerely Halde

Could someone be kind and explain the "no drag and drop" feature mod listings?
Halde replied to Halde's question in Mod Organizer Support
I had no idea there were different sorting parameters, until I saw this feature. I don't know why MO would go and change the parameter that it automatically assumed when I downloaded it the first time, and continued using in all updates, until the one i updated it to now. Can you tell me about this, seemingly automatically created map called "Amber"? It contains some of my mods, and I have no idea why. And perhaps even a, what I hope to be, last thing. MO has started colour coding my left mod list. One of the colours are red, which is typically alarming, and the other is green, which is "yaay". It seems to change colour at random when I highlight the mods (by leftclicking them once). ~Sincerely Halde -
Could someone be kind and explain the "no drag and drop" feature mod listings?
Halde replied to Halde's question in Mod Organizer Support
I have a followup question. What is this "Amber" folder in my installation order? It puts in Bashed Patch there, although Bashed Patch has always been my 2nd to last mod on the installation order (the last being DSR Output). -
Hi all! So I've recently gotten back to playing me some Skyrim. I've just added ELFX, and after installation I could change it's priority in the left side mod list because I am not "sorting by priority" whatever that means. I don't know if ELFX should be the bottom mod in my installation order or not, but in case it shouldn't, it would be nice to be able to move it. So is there are workaround? ~Sincerely Halde

Help choosing Perk mods not buggy (not needed expert rank in modding)
Halde replied to hardtroll's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I have been use SPERG since I could walk. It seems as though you rule it out, but in my humble opinion, it is really good. As Harpalus mentions, sometime you wonder why a perk was put in a given tree. But with the Skyrim Community Uncapper (which is pretty much required) SPERG is amazing. It is balanced to a high degree, it has some cool features, in the Speech and Pickpocket trees for instance. The automatic perk system works really well. And magic is balanced as a part of the mod, although I think only the smallest amount of Perk overhauls has left magic in it's pathetic vanilla state. Due to my epic love for SPERG, I have almost exclusively used it. The only other one I tried, was ACE (with the recommended spawn thingie as well) which was a horrible experience to be honest. So my view on his is limited, but I can only but recommend SPERG with the highest regards! ~Sincerely Halde -
Hi all! I have been following STEP for quite a while and reinstalled it a good dozen times. The 2.2.9 version was released in June or July last year, which is more than a half year ago. So I was wondering if the development of version 2.3.0 came to an end at some point, and that STEP is "no more" except for maintaining the forums? Not that thát is not appreciated, it certainly is:) Sincerely ~Halde

The physics going wonky in the cart scene is a fairly common issue though. I have been told it has something to do with excess FPS.

Low FPS after a couple of months pause.
Halde replied to Halde's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Oh my oh my! I managed to find the solution. For some reason, my computer hasen't saved the changes i made in the graphic driver control panel. So it reversed it back to integrated graphics. I thought computers saved these kind of settings unless something major happend to the computer. Anywho, thanks for responding! -

Hi all! So after starting studying on a university, I have not had a whole lot of time to play Skyrim, so I haven't played in about 2 months. I have not changed anything Skyrim related at all, and I have litteraly not opened Mod Organzer since. Back then, I was playing at 25-35 FPS outdoors. Now I'm running on a steady 10. I've updated enb to 264, and I've changed the FPS-limiter to 60.0(and on "true"). My computer has not undergone anything since then, except for a couple of graphic driver updates. Any idea what would cause this? ~Sincerely Halde

Asking for a mod that might fix Skyrim?
Halde replied to Halde's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
This is so very sad news... -
Hi all! I'm wasen't sure if this is the right section, due to it being used as a suggestion box for potential future STEP mods, but since the section is called "Mods" it made the most sense to me asking here. ********************SPOILER: READING THIS MIGHT COMPLETLY RUIN YOUR FUTURE SKYRIM EXPERIENCE(S)******************** I've made a horrible, horrible mistake, of zooming in on the belts of guards because they looked a bit odd to me. Now I can simply not stop seing it. Their belts are not actual belts, they are just drawn open their(in Whiterun) yellow armors(Yes I spend a lot of time, starring at the junk of guards). It's so annoying once you've noticed it. ********************SPOILER END: I AM SO SORRY FOR RUINING YOUR FUTURE SKYRIM EXPERIENCE(S)******************** ~Sincerely Halde

@Simondererste What do you mean? You are saying exactly what TechAngel is saying. -
STEP Core compatibility with TAVE
Halde replied to Pantera160's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Be aware, that if you are running a not-so-great system, you might wanna skip "Expanded Towns and Cities". It's by all means a great mod, but it shaved off 10 FPS in my game. This was in Riverwood. -

Performance Recommendation: Pre v0.143 + HiAlgo or Something Newer?
Halde replied to mikegray's question in Post-Processing Support
Well Civil War Overhaul is not passively demanding. It's scriptintensive and you will get an FPS drop during the battles, but during normal gameplay, it's obviously not something you will notice. -
OH MY GAWD, I'M SO EMBARRASSED! This is a build-in feature of Moonlight Tales which I failed to catch and subsequently failed to tweak/remove.
-
Hi all! So I have no idea where to post this, other than here. Move this to a proper section if this is incorrect please. I don't frequent or use, any other Skyrim forum than STEP so I hope someone here can help me out... I have a gamebreaking issue with SPERG and Moonlight Tales. I am quite bad at troubleshooting these things, so other than them not working together(though not mentioned on either site), I don't know what it could be. When I feed as a Werewolf, I should gain experience towards my next Werewolf perk. Which I get, so that's fine. But the problem is, that each time I feed, I get a full level in a skill tree. I have only gotten "Warrior" skill levels, but I don't know if that matters. I have gotten an Archery level and two Smithing levels. Moonlight Tales has a higher priority in my left pane than SPERG(ie. it's further down the list), and Brevi_MoonlightTales.esp(name of the Moonlight Tales .esp) is further down the plugin list as well(sorted with LOOT). I know that with SPERG, you get a full level in a pseudo-random skill when completing a quest. I have no idea if feeding with this mod triggers the same effect? But that's the only instance I can think off where SPERG gives you a full level of a skill, so I thought it worth mentioning. I don't even know if this is an incompatibility with SPERG, but I can't imagine that it's not. The funny thing is though, Moonlight Tales doesn't even change the Werewolf Perks. "Potential Mod order problem" <- Is this feature bugged?
Halde replied to Halde's question in Mod Organizer Support
Ah. That makes sense. Because I just moved Civil War Overhaul before Non-Essential Children and boom, most of these except the aMidianborn was gone. But out of nowhere, a dusin new ones appeared involving a need to place A LOT of mods before Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade. But since this mods seems to have quite a lot of possible conflicts, I don't think I'm gonna move around on it. -
I don't have them. Doesn't Safety Load and Sheson's patch do the exact same thing? Allocate memory? It seems counterproductive to have two different sources fight to accomplish the same thing. And Memory Blocks Log only tells you what the "DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=" should be. I just have mine on 768, which is recommended by the STEP Staff, whom I trust:)

Oh. I thought you were using Wrye Bash as mod manager for a second there;) Then I know nothing. I don't use Immersive Armors.

Purple textures after installing STEP:Core
