  1. Hi all! I've been having an odd problem. I simply can't find a way to make "Dark Leather" which I need to craft Ebony armor. I've never find myself in such a silly predicament, however google haven't been of help, nor have CCOR site, nor has ingame crafting tables at the forge/tanning rack. So can't anyone give me a tip? If this is absolutely meant to be a wellguarded secret, where people swear not to reveal this recipe, thus leaving every player to discover it on their own, that fine as well. ~Sincerely Halde
  2. Hi all! I'm running new lodgen, texgen and dyndolod. During the Texgen, 40-50 seconds into the program, I consistently get the same "access violation" error, concerning the same file. I'll post a screenshot of the error as this seems easier. I hope someone can help guide me! ~Sincerely Halde
  3. Thanks a lot DY, I will try that!
  4. Hi all! I've been experiencing some issues with my setup. I have a full setup and a few other mods, which are probably at fault. I don't think it's a save issue, at least I started a new character and the seconds I moved to an exterior (started as vampire) I was hit my infinite loading screen. The problem shifts between freezes, causing me to force end the game in task manager, infinite loading screens, causing me to do the same, and more rarely, CTD. It only happens in exteriors so far, and lately (today) it happens almost everytime I load into an exterior, where previously it happend once in a while, perhaps 30-60 minutes apart. Since this isn't an clean STEP setup I feel it is much to ask for someone to check the crashlog of the latest crash (it only logs the CTD's), since it's so long, but maybe someone could give me a few pointers on how to differentiate the "malign" info with the "benign" info. Best regards Halde crash-2022-06-09-14-47-53.log
  5. Discussion topic: Vokrii - Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul Patch by Retrah Wiki Link Hi all! I'm having a great time playing, but just now hit what might be a little issue. With CACO items to extract blood and flesh has been added to the game, but due to Vokrii, the perks that the ability to harvest these doesn't exist. This leaves in useless items added by CACO, and immensely increases the rarity of these items (I'm level 28 now and found 2 (total) blood ingredients). I found this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/46476 which is a patch, would it be fine to use with STEP. Or is there a STEP solution I've missed? ~Sincerely Halde
  6. Sweet thanks! Did a search for this puzzle, but that might just be the most immersionbreaking opt-out of a quest.
  7. Hey all! See the screenshot. Is it a bug that one can no longer see the palm? Or is this a mod that I didn't notice had this effect in STEP? Or is a SE thing? Or something completly different? ~Sincerely Halde
  8. I fixed it lol, it was litteraly because the folder title didn't say "meshes". I had no idea the title mattered in the MO installation, thought it scanned for files. Thanks for the answer Tech!
  9. Yes! Well I tried just putting random .nif files in the root directory, because I assumed that as well, however this didn't change it. This is a ss of the folder structure, in each "end folder" is a number of .nif's, usually 2-4. This isn't the entire folder, the root folder "Meshes Temp" contains 8 other folders below, these just didn't fit the screen.
  10. Hi all! I've during the process of installing Ecotone Dual Sheath, and just generated meshes in xEdit. I'm following a guide, which I will link, that tells me to install the meshes created through a mod manager. When I try to install the meshes created, MO tells me it is not setup correctly and doesn't contain any assets, even though filled with .nif files. Even if I put these at data directory. Can someone perhaps help me with how to install this in MO, so it will recognize it and thus use the meshes. The guide is the top post in this link: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17763?tab=posts ~Sincerely Halde
  11. Is lower fps more noticeable on 144 Hz screens? I run the game on a laptop (my only computer), and runnning between 35-50 FPS in exterior (30-35 in aspen), which is smooth running. Maybe I'm just not used to running 100 FPS on a high end screen, but on my own, it's hard to tell a difference between 40-50 and 90-100 fps.
  12. I thought so, I was originally going to just make it about the redbelly mine mod (since there are actual dialogue in the game that becomes void with USSEP), but I thought the whole list might be of interest. Thanks!
  13. Hey all! I fell before this reddit post recently, and wanted to share the link for consideration. Basically it lists some mods, that try to fix some changes that USSEP introduces by changing parts of the game not meant to be changed. I'm only using the Redbelly Mine mod, since I was unsure whether Vanilla Purist Patch would complicate my STEP installment. I know this isn't the typical mod suggestion, so if an admin sees this, feel free to move it, this sub-forum just made the most sense to me. I just wanted to make aware of the post, since the mods posted, seem to go hand in hand with the mandate of STEP, as I understand it, and perhaps changes by USSEP doesn't. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/usamua/unarthmoored_ussep_compendium/ ~Best regards Halde
  14. I have this installed but it's not working. It's obviously nod a huge deal given the nature of the mod, but my esc menu opens at quests consistently. No idea why though, I have nothing that should override it further down the list i believe. I have it installed as a normal mod would be in MO2, in the Fixes tab of the STEP guide.
  15. Is this specific to the ENB used by STEP, or is this an issue with the ENB engine (or what it is called, the files put into the root game folder)?
  16. Thanks both of you! And yes I mean EVT, just ****ed up in my memory due to using the Lush Trees option IIRC.
  17. If I install something like Happy Little Trees, should this go instead of Lush Trees in the guide, or just on top off? I think it looks really great
  18. That sounds great, thanks for answer!
  19. Hey all! I completed STEP for the second time, this time it seems to be running smooth, so that great! I'm wondering however, if there is a way to tweak the brightness in mountain shadows, I assume from EVLaS? It's very dark during the day in a mountains shadow, dark enough that I feel like i need a torch equipped, which is neither vanilla nor realistic. If not, I'm considering removing EVLaS, even though it's really great when there actually is light going through objects. ~Best regards Halde
  20. Hey all! I've been experiencing freezes anywhere between 1-20 minutes of gameplay. The game freeze and in task manager is "not responding", as in I can't enter the Skyrim window again after leaving it and thus much force end the "Skyrim.exe" task which then happens immediately. This happens on a new save with only the STEP mod + lighting (-EVLaS due to a shadow bug) and PP mods. It's seemingly random in location. It's been happening often while entering buildings (inns) but also just in the open world. It's obviously quite detrimental when it's so often. I've checked the VRAM usage, which is not the cause of the issue. I did install some other mods right after finishing my STEP installation, but I've disabled (not entirely removed though, but this shouldn't matter?) those in the mod list and ran new LOD/TexGen/DynDOLOD) generations, and used new saves. Once it's happened the first time on a new save, it seems to happen quicker if reloading it, ie. the first time I create the character and pick a "life" is by far the longest run (upwards the 20 mins), and in subsequent load of the same save game, the freeze will happen much quicker, within a couple of minutes. The only thing I can think off would be to start all over with STEP, but I would really like to avoid this, of course if that's the only way, that's the way things are A second question with much lower priority, is there a way to increase the range at which npc are rendered? I feel like I'm within spotting distance of NPC's before they're rendered. This distance is the same will all rendered objects, but for NPC (counting critters and animals as well) it's just more noticeable. And would this be detrimental to fps? I hope you great people can help with this issue! Ask any questions regarding info needed, I'm aware this is probably quite broad. ~Sincerely Halde
  21. I can't see it either, but I assumed this was because SE fixed it as a basic feature of SE vs. LE, since it wasen't in the guide. Dual sheath mods were in the guide in LE versions.
  22. As title says. I have a clean STEP installation, and the weapons only sheath on the left side, as in back in Vanilla before mods days. I would've thought this was fixed simply by SE since there aren't any mods dealing with it in the STEP guide after DSR was removed, or am I wrong? I cannot think of why this isn't working - my only guess is something with the dual wield animation mod, but by the nexus page, this deals with unsheathed weapons and attack animation not idle or moving sheathed weapons. Hope someone can help. ~Sincerely Halde
  23. It's definetly EVLaS. It completely disappears once the mod is disabled. It seems that the edge distance is basically the distance from which shadows render from my character. I can see shadows from buildings rendering at about the same distance when I disabled EVLaS. Is this something I should report as a bug? I can't possibly imagine this is the mod working as intended.
  24. Hmm sounds plausible. I should note, that while I call it "shadows" it might be a misnomer. Shadows from objects doesn't appear on the ground. The ground, and all space (buildings, rock, trees, npc's) in a fixed diameter around my character just darkens. Hmm sounds plausible. Do you have an idea about the lack of dual sheath?
