Best method of installing Sounds of Skyrim?
CJ2311 replied to rpgxomega's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Not with AOS version 2. You can use both actually, but the amount of sounds you'll be hearing will likely end up annoying you (since AOS 2 also has ambient sounds for dungeons and the wilderness, making SoS redundant) -
Why Elder Scrolls Online fails to Deliver (for me)
CJ2311 replied to Uhuru's topic in General Game Discussion
Free month? Our definitions of the word free differ then, because last I checked you need to pay 60€ for the first month, with being forced to link your credit card information, whereas something like WoW lets you play for a month (up to level 20) without charging a single cent, and if you decide to buy a subscription, you don't have to pay for the game itself. -

Yeah there's an ETaC patch for ELFX-Interiors and you need it if you don't want to end up with a ton of floating lights. -

I don't really think that would cause a problem. However if I remember correctly, Dawn of Riften adds a smelter there, so the smelters mod would be kind of redundant. :P Nope, it actually is showing at the correct location, thanks to the mod fixing said location on the map. (Note that I'm not using Warbug's 3D map either, I don't know if that would affect anything)@keith: Thanks for all that info, the cell reset will surely come in handy, I didn't know it was doable with the console and always relied on SIC to do it. D:@phryxolydian: If you're going to buy another GPU, I really would recommend AMD over nVidia to save money without sacrificing performance when it comes to gaming. At any rate, consult a lot of reviews and consider asking for advice on this subreddit or somewhere else before deciding, they can help you figure out if the rest of your rig would work with newer GPUs, as well.As for "patching ELFX", I'd recommend removing the exteriors plugin altogether as keith said. Not much else to add on the matter, I don't think I could add anything useful to his post...@DVersion: Just open NMM and add the installer manually, it should be enough. -
Looks like the kind of bug that happens in interiors if you throw a bunch of lights near water... Never encountered it in an exterior though.

DROPPED A Quality World Map - With Roads (by IcePenguin)
CJ2311 replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
For the clouds it's an option in this mod's installer. The zoom used to be controlled by some ini tweaks, but I don't know if it still is after the 1.8 update... -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=wJJNodlAExY#t=325 Start at 5:25 to see what the mod actually looks like. (obviously full of spoilers) Definitely something I could not play with all the gameplay mods I have, I'll tell you that much. D:

1. ELFX-Exteriors is not supported by the guide, because it does so many edits to the world that assume nothing will ever be modded. By design, the exterior modules of both RLO and ELFX are incompatible with most city mods. Except it's even worse in the case of ELFX.2. That's weird, because Dawn of Riften isn't performance hungry (at least not that I can see), try using the non-DLC version of it, maybe? Seeing as how it has less clutter, it could help.3. I hope this screenshot is clear enough: https://i.imgur.com/PLkfmIG.png -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
CJ2311 replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Correct. It's in the description of the file, too. "Patch requires UniqueBorderGates-All and More Immersive Dawnguard Entrance."I'll add a BUM rule for that. Actually, just install Nernie's mod normally, then disable NerniesCityandVillageExpansion.esp (or delete it from the data folder)Also, make sure you grab the loose version of her mod, otherwise the game won't be able to load the resources, and therefore will crash whenever it tries to load them. Oops, I thought I had REGS - Better Docks.esp set to TOP Towns and Cities. Thanks for the warning, fixing that.@phryxolydian: Gimme a few minutes and I'll reply -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
CJ2311 replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
It's actually a different file, which happens to have the same name. D: The REGS - RRR + NSUtR patch.esp in v3.3.3 just fixes the snow around the Nightgate Inn. It's completely unrelated to ETaC. @MadWizard: Actually, using MFG Console would make that task even more easy, as you can then check directly from the game what esp places which items where. Really saves a lot of time (and sanity). -
From what I could see, all the NPC esp does is change a select NPCs (hair style, race, skin color, warpaint... that kind of stuff). You could just ignore that part of the mod since all of those changes don't stick to the vanilla NPCs (I find most of them to be a bit weird personally, since I'm used to the way they originally look)
-
For packing BSAs, you could use the Archiver.exe file that's bundled with the Creation Kit, I find it easier to use personally.

Toi answer your question, Kuldebar: Fullscreen mode used to make my game crash when using an ENB whenever I alt tabbed (or whenever a popup made the game lose focus) Plus borderless window means I can do something else during the loadscreens. :P I don't notice any performance issues with it compared to fullscreen on Windows 8.1 either, although it used to be the case in Win7 (probably because of Aero)
-
Actually, Deadly Dragon does not modify those NPC records (seeing as how the option is toggleable with the ingame menu, that would be impossible to implement that way, so it's actually handled by scripts)
-
It IS on nexus, there's a changelog tab on most mods...

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
CJ2311 replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
My point is that REGS itself is not outdated, except for the 3 missing BUM rules for ETaC, which I added now. Anyway, here's the changelog. I wanted to add Realistic Boat Bobbing, but I need to check something with Ganda first so that'll be added when he's online. He's online now, so I'm adding that to the guide. -

CJ2311 replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
REGS is not a WIP. It's completely up-to-date, I just haven't posted about the ETaC Replacer being removed here when I removed it from the guide and updated the instructions for the regular version of ETaC (I thought I did it, though, my bad). I'm still keeping track of all the mods in it and updating the version numbers whenever it's needed. It's just that most of the mods are already in their final versions and therefore do not get any updates. As for SR:LE, I do not use it, which is why the REGS-SRLE guide was maintained by Nearox. The only important part of it is actually the installation instructions (which I kept updated thanks to the feedback of some users, like the RND optionals). The conflict resolution part is just nitpick (mostly a mod trying to change the music type of an interior to another). I've said it before, and I'll say it again, anything that could be gamebreaking has been avoided in the guide (or there are replacers for it). That conflict resolution just serves to forward a couple of changes from the USKP and most of them are already listed in Neovalen's guide now since the guide is outdated. I'll add the removal of the ETaC Replacer in the changelog so it's clearer, and I'll remove the redundant/useless entries from the REGS-SRLE guide right now. -
pack Dreadflopps Modular patches
CJ2311 replied to dreadflopp's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
REGS isn't moving quickly, don't worry As a matter of fact it's pretty much stagnating at this point, seeing as how there's not that many mods that can be added. -
Dragon Age: Inquisition Trailer and Release Date
CJ2311 replied to Neovalen's topic in General Game Discussion
Mass Effect 3 had a great gameplay though, not just the story. It's flaw was mostly the ending(s). Dragon Age 2 on the other hand is more of an action RPG (and from what I've seen so far in the video TechAngel shared, DA3 is heading in the same direction :/) EDIT: @Tech: You should really finish DA:O then, it's bloody brilliant, and totally worth playing and replaying again. :D -

Well it's just going to be ETaC - Complete without Falkreath (until that gets redone like Dawnstar, hopefully next on the list :P ) -

CJ2311 replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Yes, the 3DNPC REGS patch only covers REGS - Cities.esp, CRF, and stuff like that, ETaC still requires its own official patch. The order doesn't matter between these 2.Also I'm making a new replacer version at the moment, but with so many patches to modify, it's borderline silly. -
Why Elder Scrolls Online fails to Deliver (for me)
CJ2311 replied to Uhuru's topic in General Game Discussion
The cynic tone is part of the persona of that youtuber, you can't really expect someone with the nickname Angry Joe to talk about rainbows and puppies. The worse part is that they could actually have made it a good game if they adressed some of the issues that were pointed out by the beta testers. The price would have been justified if it had been more like Rift, for instance, with randomly generated invasions instead of that Oblivion garbagy bit he showed... But seeing how little mobs there are in every area, I don't think their servers would have handled it... D: -
Book Covers Skyrim - Lost Library
CJ2311 replied to DanielCoffey's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Wouldn't count on that, seeing as how he stopped modding. But I don't really see the problem here, only books in his shop are affected, and actually, it makes sense that not all books have the same cover anyway... -
Why Elder Scrolls Online fails to Deliver (for me)
CJ2311 replied to Uhuru's topic in General Game Discussion
Honestly, after watching this, I'm wondering if there will be any people crazy enough to even renew their subscriptions for another month. I've played obscure F2P chinese/korean MMORPGs that were better than this... This "game" fails at being an elder scrolls, and it fails at being an MMO... No wonder why there are no rabid fans defending it on the internet.
