ACCEPTED Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (by kryptopyr)
Octopuss replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
One more question: is it possible to add the option to smelt jewellry? I got several rings and the like, and I think it would be nice if I could turn them into silver or whatever ingots. edit: Question two: smelter doesn't seem to make a difference between regular and improved items. Is it possible to display this? What I do is improve all weapons and armour before I smelt them for a bit of extra experience, and again, not knowing what exactly I am about to smelt makes it a little bit of a pain in the ass. -
CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
Octopuss replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I don't know, I tried 64, then 512, and also 256, and still got CTDs. They were extremely frequent with 64, but then again, maybe it wasn't related to this at all. -

Well, I still have a few things to try, like setting AF back to being managed by the game, going back to fullscreen mode, setting ipresentinterval back to 0 (I swear the game set it to 0 when it created the ini files) - but seeing how I didn't run even close to filling the VRAM, it must be some obscure mod problem. It's really weird, because the previous game crashed maybe 5 times in 30 hours. -

I don't know, this is another new game with mods sorted with BOSS. Really frustrating stuff. I just CTDed again and there was still almost a GB of VRAM free, so you're probably right, must be something with mods. Good luck troubleshooting that to me. -

Octopuss replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I started experiencing awful amount of CTDs and couldn't get rid of them. After starting several new games, changing inis and whatnot, I remembered I edited enblocal.ini earlier today and changed ReservedMemorySizeMb from 256 (which I just had there since... the beginning?) to 64, because I read somewhere it should be low with lots of VRAM. Could this be the cause? Does anyone have any experience with this particular setting? -
What I stil haven't understood is masterlist in LOOT - I thought that maintaining it for thousands of plugins was the main reason BOSS v3 with special sorting algorithm was developed.

I kind of use it. It crashes like no tomorrow, but a fix for that will likely be included in next version. It produces completely different load order, and it still doesn't work too well: Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espDawnguard.esmClimatesOfTamriel.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthFires.esmUnofficial Hearthfire Patch.espDragonborn.esmETaC - RESOURCES.esmUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.espLanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esmSkyrim Project Optimization - Full Version.esmWinterholdDestruction.esmNight Eye Overhaul.esmUnofficial High Resolution Patch.esp

ACCEPTED Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (by kryptopyr)
Octopuss replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well, that feature would be absolutely awesome, and while I cannot speak for anyone else, I believe this would please crowds a LOT. I am not sure what am I seeing myself, to be honest :D The idea is to get some sort of input how much more damage/armour rating/something I would get compared to what I have currently equipped when checking an item in a crafting menu. Does this make sense? Right now when I browse my inventory, I see some numbers in brackets when I mouse over them; those that have better stats in green, and the worse in red. I am not entirely sure how these are calculated, but it's good enough indicator. OR, is it possible to display what you currently have equipped in the same slot the item you are looking at in crafting menu goes to? Say I am about to craft a helmet, but unsurprisingly do not remember the stats of the one I have equipped. The item to craft is displayed at the bottom of the screen, right? Would it be possible to show the helmet I wear somewhere near the top of the screen then? -
Yeah keep the minuses going... I was just explaining.
-
I saw that. I thought this was so specific problem it might be well known or something. I also didn't think anyone would be interested in reading through 200 plugins and mods...

Anyone ever had iron horned helmed visible during characted creation? It has happened for the 2nd time to me, and I just can't figure out what could be the cause. It's definitely not caused by Racemenu, disabling it makes no difference. So much weird stuff happening to me!

krypto, is it somehow technically possible to prevent equipped items from being smelted/deconstructed? There's no indication in the game what is what at all, and all you see for example in the smelter interface is just item names. I managed to smelt the armour I was wearing more than once simply because I just cannot keep track what is what and where. Also on similar note, is it possible to show how much would the stats delta when looking at recipes? For example, I am going through steel armour, and it would be great if I could see how much armour rating or whatever I'd get compared to the iron one I currently wear. -
Purple dog is gone, purple elven quiever as well. I wish I wrote everything I did down, but I was just kinda experimenting with stuff. What I did for sure was reenabling ipresentinterval in the ini, and I going through the little hell of doing the entire texture DDSOptimization. I also created new default Skyrim profile and then sort of created new one in MO, but I don't think that mattered much if at all.

SKYRIMLE No Snow Under the Roof (by Prometheus)
Octopuss replied to Allsunday's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I just spotted SMIM option in the installer in v2.3. Awesome! Now we only need the author of ETaC to come back and create a patch for this... Honestly I cannot imagine playing without ETaC anymore. -
Nope, I don't.

What's the general opinion about DDSOpting of the vanilla textures and using unofficial hires patch? I mean, doesn't it overwrite some of the optimized textures, possibly creating some problems? For example, like the elven quiver texture bug I am experiencing? And to make double sure, the plugins now present in the patch, are they used for anything else than changing load order of the patch?
-
The dog SEEMS to have gone away (well, the texture, even though the dog is annoying as hell :D) after I set ipresentinterval back to 1. At least I believe that's the one setting I changed. I didn't reinstall the mod at all, though. It was something in settings. I'll have to try again when I'm done reinstalling a few things.
-
Nope, absolutely none that would touch textures. I do have the Closer quivers and...something mod, which I've reinstalled today (and I made sure I set FOMOD preference to false in MO this time), and it's still purple :( I've realized a while ago that Unofficial hires patch has a file the elven quiver as well, though. They look identical, but the one from the patch is almost twice as small. The resolution is the same and they look absolutely identical... I don't know what to make of this.
-
Does anyone else see elven quiver in purple? I originally thought it was a problem of some mod, but seeing as the texture is only present in vanilla textures and then hires pack, both of which were run through the optimization process from the wiki, I started thinking it could be related to that. Any ideas are welcome.
-
Hmm, is it possible something went wrong when I ran the hires textures through the STEP optimization process? The only places where elven quiver is are vanilla and hires textures.

Skyrim timescale - what is safe?
Octopuss replied to rootsrat's question in General Skyrim LE Support
My main concern is how is this related to ENB, and whether having "double vsync" wouldn't cause some problems. But like I posted before, ipresentinterval=1 and vsync disabled in ENB resulted in FPS going over 60 anyway, so I really don't know what to think. -
How can I do something wrong when there is a FOMOD installer where I just click on stuff? I don't get it!
-
The dog texture comes from Bellyaches creatures, and I definitely didn't do any optimization to it. Weird. Just like the statue on loading screen.

Skyrim timescale - what is safe?
Octopuss replied to rootsrat's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I have timescale set to 12, and the Riverwood trade has his shop permanently open, which is super weird, and this thread made me wonder whether it couldn't be related. As for ipresentinterval setting, it doesn't seem to do anything if ENBoost is running. I disabled vsync in enblocal.ini and set this back to 1, and my FPS was still jumping to 100.
