  1. That was it... thank you so much!
  2. Hey, First I'd like to say thanks for the work you've put in to your guide. Very much appreciated. Game is looking great. I'm having one issue however and I'm hoping that you can shed some light on it. When I open my pipboy and examine a piece of armor I get a CTD. When I open an armor modding crafting station it's an automatic CTD. I've read on the Armorsmith page that this happens to some people and they say that there's likely something wrong with the keywords... I've reinstalled AWKCR, Armorsmith Extended and Crafting Workbenches. I'm hitting a wall trying to figure out my next move in fixing this issue. Any thoughts from anyone?
  3. I'm having difficulty downloading the 'Skyrim Mod Combiner" Patch recommended in the Landscape & Environment section. I click on "SMC Extra - NPM-HDSQCD - Patch" on the mod page and it cycles, says it's going to download in a second, then redirects me to the Nexus Mods Games page to choose a game. Did anyone else run into this problem? If so, how did they work around it?
  4. So, I asked a while back for some advice on here about building a rig. The caveat was that it had to be done through purchasing parts at Best Buy. Some things came up and I never did make that build... So, I'm back to trying to get a build made. I found this website which seemed to have a fairly decent build guide, though what do I know, and I changed some things to see what I could get from Best Buy. Here's the build I looked at: https://pcbuildsonabudget.com/best-gaming-pc-build-for-under-1000-dollars Here's what I did: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/B8zyWX My one concern is that the CPU for the recommended specs for Fallout 4 reads: "Intel Core i7 4790 3.6 GHz/AMD FX-9590 4.7 GHz or equivalent" but I have an Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor which is .1 slower than what is recommended? Will this make a huge difference? Will it affect greatly what I can do with mods? I always had issues when modding Skyrim and Fallout 3 due to my system lacking the right hardware. I'm excited to build something that'll work great with Fallout 4 too. Any advice? Thanks
  5. I did this but... how do I know if it worked? I got the same thing Anubitz did but... even putting in the 32bit- I get the exact same message. Is there some way of knowing for sure if it was changed to 32bit? Thanks for your help.
  6. Hey, under Dragonskin Tactical Outfit it states: Move "DragonskinNCRPersonnelWearingOutfits.esp" to the "Optional ESPs" box. I am curious if it should state this as well: Move "DragonskinNCRPersonnelWearingOutfits.esp" and "DTOBP-ProjectNevada.esp" to the "Optional ESPs" box. In the readme from the DTO-Project Nevada Support v1_0_1 Optional File it says that the DTOBP is for the Bonus Pack which it appears Fear and Loathing does not use.
  7. A little issue with the guide. You'll notice the Notes are mismatched: Scribe Yearling takes all Pre-War BooksAuthor: YukichigaiVersion: v1.0Notes: Caravan Merchants now heal after combat Caravan Merchants Heal After CombatAuthor: YukichigaiVersion: v1Notes: Scribe Yearling now accepts both types of Pre-war Book
  8. After much trial and error. Uninstalling programs. Tinkering with the Ini files. Doing a scan to make sure the game cache was fine. Attempting older enb's... I reinstalled the directx version that was packaged with Fallout 3. Still did not work. I then stumbled across this page which updates DirectX and... it loads up. Man... that was frustrating.
  9. This is driving me nuts... I've never had an issue with ENB before however I cannot get the game to load if the ENB is installed. I'm only using ENB Boost, by the way. I went through the guide until I finished with the UI (which I've done before the 'fixes' section as recommended in the guide so 'fixes' are not installed currently). I got to the end of the UI (Unified HUD) and it recommends testing the game out. It 'Run' in Mod Organizer and it's like nothing happens. Tried disabling some mods here and there... same problem. I uninstall the ENB and the game starts up real quick. So, if the ENB is loaded into the Fallout 3 GOTY folder it causes my game to not load. I tried the "Fallout Launcher" and with ENB instsalled it loads the launcher almost... box appears... no text... then crashes. I tried working with the injector version. Installed the ENB. Ran ENBInjector.exe. Loaded up the game. The game starts but without any kind of sense that the ENB is running. No Version number in the upper left corner. I run an AMD Radeon 5800 card 1gb Vram. I've run the game in the past using Midhrastic so I've used ENB's before with Fallout 3. Anyone have any ideas?

  11. I've been using Professions by Kuertee for some time now. I enjoy it for its sense of immersion like Addicted mentioned. I wanted to try this one out but it was lacking 'skinning takes time' which I would miss.
  12. Thanks everyone. Knowing there's a group of people around who have gone through this is great. Also helps that you all understand the love of modding. I'm most definitely going to go with building the system. Probably try and finalize specs by Monday with intent to buy by the end of the week. Also need to think about speakers, a monitor, and likely a copy of windows which might necessitate a disk drive, I think.
  13. I think at this juncture I'm going to get a system very similar to the one Phazer mentioned. I've a friend in the area, Rochester NY, who is willing to help me build it. This is daunting though, trying to make sure I get everything I need and that it is all compatible. As to it being easier to MOD... I'm happy with the hurdles I've had to jump so far. Finally after many years and attempts I've a skyrim build that is going strong. Level 27. Having a blast. FPS is between 25 and 32 with a barebones vividian enb and rcrn. Not bad for a video card with 1gb. :)
  14. Just want to say thanks for all the comments. Especially thankful to Phazer for the system recommendation and the Bestbuy matching policy information. Excited to get a new system. I have an Asus laptop currently and it took a LOT of trial and error to get it to run smooth with the mods I've chosen. Lots of concessions, lots of DDSOPTing of textures. Should be easier with a better system.
  15. Hrm... problem is I'm trying to buy everything through BestBuy. We have a card that is no interest for a year. So it's something we can pay off over the course. Would it still be cheaper? I had thought that since it was a bundled deal the parts they were giving were cheaper than individual?
  16. Hey, as the title says I'm looking to buy a computer. A nice one so that I don't, for the most part, have to make grand concessions when I add mods. I believe I know what I'm looking for... but I don't want to buy something then regret it quickly afterwards. So... I'd like a second opinion. Here's what I'm looking at, what does anyone think? Also, is it something that I can upgrade in the future? I know the limit on RAM but what about another video card or something? How do I know? IBUYPOWER
  17. Also check to be sure the bsa's are ticked.
  18. Was looking at this earlier. Excited to give it a go.
  19. Garfink, did you ever figure this out?
  20. Make sure both bsa's are ticked for your armor mods. Found that the second Immersive armor bsa wasn't ticked and had that problem.
  21. Going through STEP 2.2.9 and not being able to install a mod that is clearly in the guide is causing my minor Obsessive Compulsive need to complete each step to go crazy. Can't wait for the author to sort this all out. Sad to hear someone hacked his account.
  22. Thanks, Irish. Should it be mentioned in the STEP install?
  23. As this has been added to SKSE 1.7.1 do I need to do anything to get it up and running after the regular SKSE install? Or since it's been added it is just going whenever one uses SKSE?
  24. Thanks for the response. Aye, it was the latter. Set up a mod build and I was wondering if anyone had a best practice that they ran by... ie, try it out until you reach the first dragon or three hours... all to see if the scripts will run fine. Running STEP Extended, minus EBT, DSI, SRO, and Hybrids mod... then a few of my own choosing.
