SKYRIMLE Better Dwemer Ruins v4 Released
LeetMiniWheat replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nice comparison! (though IMG tags would be easier to view, with this forum's gallery thingy) It's hard to say which is better, though I agree I definitely see some low res textures (like in the first shot) and others definitely can look too matte and "busy" looking. I like the floors and some of the walls with it installed though. -
Anti-Aliasing/Anisotropic Filtering not working properly
LeetMiniWheat replied to torminater's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Haven't got a chance to test SSAA yet, but figured I'd post this... the scary part is, Tri-SLi can go up to 96x/24x -
Wow, major oversight? I just turned the flag on, thanks

SKYRIMLE Automatic Variants (by Leviathan1753)
LeetMiniWheat replied to Anosognos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nice, I've been manually patching a few SkyProc things (ASIS, RePerkussion, and SkyBash) and it does get to be a PITA. I'll have to try that. Sucks that most of Skyrim mods are WIP still... -

@Skwareballz: SUM? Also, maybe [WIP] tag should be removed from OP? -

SKYRIMLE Automatic Variants (by Leviathan1753)
LeetMiniWheat replied to Anosognos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This was recently updated btw. I posted a duplicate thread on accident before I saw this one. Worth checking out I think. It's up on Nexus here, not sure if it was when this thread was posted. (OP refers to a forum thread) -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim performance and crash prevention mod
LeetMiniWheat replied to Kelmych's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
From what I understand, I think it just uses the PCB command. The OCS author apparently doubts whether this function still works or not Edit: There's some threads suggesting that Skyrim uses a different memory management system (according to beth), so this command may not behave as expected like it did in earlier games (oblivion, FO3, etc) Edit2: and another quote "questionable and game-breaking purges while running a live game that potentially destroy in-game content that you might need"' Edit3: and people are saying alt-tab'ing back and forth will save more memory than this command does -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim performance and crash prevention mod
LeetMiniWheat replied to Kelmych's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah It looks promising in the future but seems very much like an alpha or beta test. "playing for 5 hours without a crash" is not really saying much. My first thought was how many scripts this mod was gonna break under the hood without even realizing it. -

I've seen the companionhousekeepingscript error before on a modded install (not sure about vanilla) -
STEP v2.1.1b Bug Reports [Official]
LeetMiniWheat replied to jcooper138's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
Oh, right... forgot about that one. Yeah I have all 3 of those. I love the quieter sheath sounds, vanilla is just ear piercingly annoying. -
STEP v2.1.1b Bug Reports [Official]
LeetMiniWheat replied to jcooper138's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
Hmm, actually the sheathing sounds are from "Improved Combat Sounds" so "Realistic Weapon Swing Sounds" just includes the swing sounds. I don't see any readme at all in the archive or any signs of an author on google. Edit: does anyone know how the swings from "Improved Combat Sounds" compares? -

STEP v2.1.1b Bug Reports [Official]
LeetMiniWheat replied to jcooper138's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
Not sure where "Realistic Weapon Swing Sounds" is from, but I can upload it if someone wants it. (not sure about the legality of doing so though). It's a must-have mod, IMO. The default sounds suck and are really annoying (like the sheathing/unsheathing sound) -
Problem after deactivation of Sound of Skyrim mods

Speaking of SoS, has anyone heard any news on when it's getting fixed and put back up on Nexus again? -

Wow, some people just have way too much time on their hands... Like [video=youtube]  and [video=youtube]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMOblBizgus -
Where exactly is this new STEP guide? Sorry if I missed a post somewhere about it, but I wouldn't mind testing it.

I see what tormentor is saying, some testers know the limit of their rigs and what it can handle - but a unified testing methodology has it's benefits. Maybe using the Hi-Res DLC Optimized @ 1024 should be default just for testing to eliminate any potential bottlenecks? Though a few levels of tests (medium, high, ultra) would effectively cover all ground. I'm down for testing whenever a finalized mod list and testing methodology is available. (I've skimmed through the wiki somewhat already and been loosely following this thread.)

ACCEPTED Lore-Based Loading Screens (by Chesko)
LeetMiniWheat replied to gwoody79's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Heh, this is getting a bit off topic now, but I'm also using ACE+ASIS+Duel+Deadly Dragons+APOC+Empowered magic. Also using Dragons Diversified, Magic Duel, OCS, SkyMoMod, and WARZONES. Those are the major ones I'm using that I can remember, but I'm waiting on SkyBash's next release though because I have a lot of other stuff that isn't covered by the bashed patch (next skybash should merge vender containers too). Hopefully will be able to fit in "HBE - Hardcore and Rebalanced Experience" after the next skybash without too many conflicts, but I'm worried it will screw with lists too much for jaysus, morrowloot, and crafting 300 (though most of HBE is modular) we need the FCOM equivalent for skyrim eventually :D -
ACCEPTED Lore-Based Loading Screens (by Chesko)
LeetMiniWheat replied to gwoody79's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well, not 400 plugins/esp's but 400+ in MO including texture mods and updates. I worked on modding for 12hrs/day for a few weeks, but I'm waiting for 1.7 before finishing it. (And waiting for some mods to mature more) -

DROPPED BLESSINGS - Altar Descriptions (by MyGoodEye)
LeetMiniWheat replied to SIMONTOYOU's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Nice, looks very useful. Thanks! Breaks immersion a little bit, but definitely helpful. Some other similar but helpful mods: Improved Skill Books - Adds the stat in perenthesis next to all the book names that give you a skillup. Dungeon Quest Awareness - Adds the name of quests attached to a dungeon in perenthesis so you don't go and clear a dungeon without the quest (which makes the quest uncompletable in most cases). -
