Do you apply bash tags to the dlcs?
Kelmych replied to Van555's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
The script adds "{{BASH:Actors.ACBS,Actors.AIPackages,C.Water,Delev,Factions,Graphics,Names,Relev,Stats}}" to the SNAM subrecord in the File Header record for BrokenSteel.esm. It will add "{{BASH:Names}}" to the headers for the Anchorage, ThePitt, and Zeta esm plugins. When you are using Wrye Flash highlight one of these plugins and look at the tags in the lower right part of the Wrye Flash window. You should see these tags in the tags subwindow. For the users of the Fallout 3 guide who are also experienced with using Wrye Flash to create the bashed patch and xEdit to examine plugins it would be useful to go through the plugins in the guide, use the script, and then check whether the tag additions make sense. I'll do this and report as I have time. -

Go to Matoreternal TES5EditScripts and download the TES5EditScripts-master.zip file by selecting the "Download zip" button on the upper right. This has all of Mator's very useful scripts. Extract the contents into the folder used for the xEdit executable. You will then have all of Mator's scripts as of the time the zip file was created. If you prefer, install only the mtefunctions.pas script, but I recommend installing all of them. This will be added to the guide. -
Question: About repatching all the time
Kelmych replied to skeltcher's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I was able to reduce the flickering of snow on distant mountains by changing one of the INI parameters, as discussed in this thread. When the mods you listed are installed and you have run LOOT then run Wrye Bash. You don't have to patch the bashed patch, just rerun the bashed patch generation step in Wrye Bash. -
I've had the black rectangles problem also. Sometimes it is there and sometimes it isn't. I haven't found a consistent configuration that causes it in my game.

The Blackened patch that includes both MMM and Project Beauty includes all the records in the "Mart's Mutant Mod - Project Beauty.esp" plugin. There are some differences, but it looks like the Blackened authors made these changes to improve balance. The guide will be revised to eliminate the use of the "Mart's Mutant Mod - Project Beauty.esp" plugin when the Blackened patch is use. Thanks for noticing this.

The guide should say to use the merged plugin introduced in the most recent version; good catch. The guide will be changed to use the merged version. It's important with the body mods that the appropriate bash tags get applied to the main mod (e.g., FO3 Redesigned for female faces) so Wrye Flash preserves the changes they make, overriding changes from various other plugins that load later. LOOT will show the correct bash tags, but unfortunately Wrye Flash doesn't read the LOOT masterlist to get these tags. Adding bash tags can be done manually in Wrye Flash or in FO3Edit, or run the Generate tags for Wrye Bash script mentioned in the guide which determines and adds the tags to the plugin header directly. This tool sometimes adds tags that aren't the best choice, but with the main body mods this isn't an issue.

I'll post some suggestions soon. -

So the MSI gaming app was the problem? Perhaps there should be a note in the guide about the problems with these apps. The AMD Gaming Evolved, for example, makes it impossible to play Bethesda games if you have two monitors, as well as creating other problems. -
I don't think so, but I'll check when I'm at my computer later today.

I use the INI files from DoubleYou's fINIp and the tweaks in the guide. I use the ENBoost settings in the guide. I have no idea whether the graphic card configuration affects this. When I do internet searches I don't get a lot of help other than what I already mentioned. The menu settings are mentioned in the In Game Settings guide section. This is the associated menu page (that should be converted to use the new MCM STEP Template). If you have problems even with the vanilla game files I don't have many suggestions. -

Have you tried selecting the other male body type mentioned in the guide? There are other good female body mods. They aren't included since their Nexus pages are NSFW; some of them are better than the one in the guide. Troubleshooting these problems usually requires using FO3Edit to see what is happening with the bodies and faces. For example, see if anything overwrites objects from the FCO (Project Beauty) mod. -

I don't know; everything I've read says it is a game engine problem.. The only time it happened to me was in FNV and I was able to fix it. I don't know if it will affect it but there is an interface color changer in the guide; maybe it can affect it? Take a look at the Pipboy menus page at the FWE menu that affects the Stealth suit and Stealth boy; as mentioned in this part of the guide they don't use the same settings. Try changing this setting to see if it matters. -
Yes, it looks a lot more like it should

Kelmych replied to Van555's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
LOOT doesn't have recommended bash tags for the DLCs except Broken Steel. The Generate Bash Tags script might produce good tags. -
Thanks for the help Added to the guide. Thanks.

I don't see any obvious missing caveparts when I arrive at that spot. I assume that by missing caveparts you mean transparent areas of the cave with no textures. Do you have mods in addition to those in STEP extended?

Thanks for the quick update. Users should also update the versions of Fallout.ini in their MO profiles for the changes.

So to confirm the fwe menus appear only after you leave the vault?
Kelmych replied to Van555's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
You can take the bobblehead, you just can't adjust anything until after vault 101. -

I tried this with both BSAopt and DDSopt and it worked properly for me. In the Browse menu while looking at Fallout 3 Goty\Data you did have the file type box in the lower right set to either All Documents or Bethesda Softworks Archives, right? -

With DDSopt (or BSAopt which is easier to use for looking at BSAs) you need to use the Browse key to navigate to the Fallout 3 Goty\Data folder and then select the bsa you want such as Fallout - Textures.bsa. What folder are you looking at in DDSopt? Look at the Fallout 3 Goty\Data folder in Windows Explorer and see what files are there. You should see all the Fallout 3 BSAs and plugins.
