  1. So I don't know if it's the update, the STEP updated, both, or I was doing something wrong before but FPS have shot through the goddamn roof. I was getting 70-80 FPS frequently outside, the lowest was 44 something because of cell load and a max of 92.2. And indoors was insane, I had 140-180 constantly with a max of 202.2. Anyone have any clues as to what would give such a huge shift in FPS? Don't get me wrong, I am loving this, but I like to know why on the off chance it could be improved upon.
  2. BUM refuses to work for me. When I first start it it gives me an error about how F:NV isn't in the Program Files so I either say Yes and go through this whole process which I can't fix or say No and it'll just close on me until I say Yes and do the whole stupid thing again. I had the same problem months ago when I started it so I deemed it a lost cause. I didn't know the New Vegas Error Corrections Extras.esp could conflict with YUP, but looking at the conflicts it only seems to overwrite FPS Weapon Wheel.
  3. @EssArrBee Sure, a bunch of them are weapons and armors so I don't think that those have a problem with the game. A couple are from what's recommended from the pack here, and a bunch are from NVEC patches.
  4. Does anyone have any news on LOOT? I figure BOSS was the recommended sorter at the moment but I'm curious if there's any news on using LOOT instead. BOSS has 19 unrecognized mods for me so any updated info is nice.
  5. For myself the big deal-breaker would be scaling. By the time you're, for example, lv.81 a bunch of spells are the equivalent of poking someone hard for alot of enemies. Having something that raises the damage as your skill increases makes sense. Really gets fun when you have the Unleveler mod, haha. It's not necessarily a magic mod but Skytweak has so many things you can change around, including changing how much magic costs, scales, duration, how many runes you can use, sneak damage for spells, and the like. It does way more than just magic though. I tried out TTRSO and I found that I like that alot, especially because it's modular so if you don't like the way, for example, Illusion works you don't have to add it. I use Skytweak for the fine-tuning and TTRSO for the perk abilities.
  6. FOMM seems to work for me. Odd, but eh. I'll play some F:NV later and see if everything runs fine. Edit: Seems like the main menu has disappeared. I get the mouse icon but all the menu options are gone. However it seems I can click on them, I get the sound and the box but I can't see any text. Edit2: Seems like I did the Fallout.ini Darnified UI Font Tweak wrong, I think I stopped just short of the end of the last letter or something. It works now. Thanks for everyones help.
  7. Nope, still dies. Is there something I'm doing wrong before starting it? Starting it by itself in it's own folder and putting everything from it in the F:NV folder results in it dying the same way. Should I just use old FOMM then? Would it work alright through MO?
  8. Huh, after moving the Steam folder FOMM - Fork still doesn't work but now FOMM does.
  9. The only thing that stands out is the first one, my Steam folder is in Program Files (x86). How would I move it to...let's say C:Games? Would I have to reinstall Steam or could it simply be moved without an issue?
  10. Nope still the same, tried 0.14.10.6 and didn't change.
  11. Seemed to install fine, however when I tried to run it it crashed and gave me an error. Selecting F:NV as a option now leads it to crashing everytime. Here's the crashdump file: Thursday, July 03, 2014 - 11:51:50 PMFomm 0.13.21OS version: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Fomm.PackageManager.ModInstallLog.InstallLog.InitMods() at Fomm.PackageManager.ModInstallLog.InstallLog.Load() at Fomm.PackageManager.ModInstallLog.InstallLog..ctor() at Fomm.Program.Main(String[] args)
  12. You mean when I unpack it? No, out of all you mentioned only FOMM is there.
  13. No, still the same problem. Double click on it, seems like something is loading but nothing shows up. Checked with the Task Manager and fomm.exe shows up but dies seconds later. And here's a mod that just showed up that changes something that always bothered me: TmT - Open Broken Doors Although really, considering you're dealing with at least centuries old wood you figure that you could just kick and the door would go to pieces.
  14. I'm running the latest version via Win7.
  15. FOMM - Fork is still not working for me. In the readme.txt that came with it it said that if it start and throws up errors then it's a .NET issue, but it won't start at all. It'll seem like it's loading for a few seconds (And I looked in the Task Manager, it does start.) but then it'll die without anything coming up. Does anyone have an idea on what the problem could be?
  16. I put it in the F:NV folder my in Steam folder. It doesn't seem to matter where I put it or start it through MO it always fails. I did a clean install but I forgot to do that. I ran the launcher a few minutes ago.
  17. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with FOMM - Fork? No matter what I do it won't start, through MO or by itself. I can't find any directions and the Readme text doesn't help me.
  18. Agree with kryptopyr, I felt like Telekinesis should have been able to grab the soul gem traps. There isn't a while lot you can do with the spell anyway. Looks like an helpful mod.
  19. Likewise, I haven't downloaded anything but I can't check to see it any of the mods I use have updated. It loads and says I'm unable to log in. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.
  20. Ah, I didn't know that EFF had that option. There's so many to choose from and I never checked, haha. Thanks.
  21. I use Immersive College of Winterhold and EFF (beta) as well, it does make it easier to deal with followers with EFF. I just checked the NPC Enchantments Fix, which I also use, and it turns out that it's been hidden and instead added to ASIS. Odd. But yes, it seems that mage followers are tricky to force other robes besides their own on without a follower mod. So rather than that I'm wondering it it's better to just give them light/heavy armor so they actually wear it along with the possible enchantment rather than deal with robes.
  22. For example, Brelyna Maryon and Marcurio, don't have any skill in the Light/Heavy armor area. However would they benefit more from having light/heavy armor than robes due to the armor rating or ? I know that it's a pain to give them better gear due to the game thinking that all clothing/robes are the same because of the armor rating not changing, I'm curious as to just giving them enchanted armor rather than deal with the console/mod option and force them to wear what you give them is better.
  23. Yep, that was it. I can't remember why I turned it off, it's been a long while. Thanks for the help.
  24. I'm using MO and the FOMOD isn't working for me. The installer will come up but after a while it'll throw up an error saying: The element 'config' has invalid child element 'installSteps'.and then: installation failed (errorcode 5)It happens with both a downloaded via MO one and a downloaded and installed manually one. I can't seem to get it to work.
