  1. As far as I know the ini tweaks, lower box in the ini files tab of the info pane, are only applied to the Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini and the upper Ini files box shows all ini files no matter where they are stored. SKSE ini will need to be in the SKSE folder in the file tree for SKSE to act upon it. Any ini tweaks created will show up in a folder called INI tweaks and outside of the SKSE folder so that may be why you don't see them recreated.
  2. I run TESEdit once just to create that folder and close it. I then make a mod out of it and leave it enabled. Anytime I clean an ESP it will go there.
  3. Correct will edit, been up since 3am.
  4. Should not be as long as it is in the MO mods. If you ever verify game cache in steam it will be downloaded again. The next time TES5Edit is run it will create a back up of the file being edited. Rirgt click the mod in the left pane and select open in explorer. Double click the overwirte folder and you can drag the folders and files to the explorer window. Make sure the window is off the MO left pane to avoid dropping files into an different mod. When the left pane is sorted by priority and zero is at top that it will be lower than all the rest of the mods.
  5. Make sure there are no filters or groups applied, there should not be a colored border around the left pane. Sort the left pane by priority with zero at the top. The overwrite folder will now be the very last thing in the list.
  6. Pardon my butting in here, have you tried to double click a jar file outside of MO to see what happens?
  7. You have to first open the mod you want to have as your “Master File†in wrye and right click on it and select “Esmify self†and close wrye. Start the CK and select your master file and make your edits. Save your new ESP when done. When you are finished editing, start Wrye and click the file you Esmified and right click “Espify self†to return the file back to an ESP. This needs to be done each time you want to modify your mod.
  8. I don't think that will ever happen. I think Tannin mentioned this somewhere else about opening up a big security risk.
  9. I also have the lights turning off when I start the game and I am in the Alternate Start Live another life prison cell. When I disable ELFX and start a new game I don't have the problem. i tried to move the mod to the highest priority and it did not fix. Also loading the ESPs last did not fix.
  10. You may have the view sorted by nexus IDs or Categories. In the middle bottom drop down make sure it says No Groups.
  11. Which version of MO are you using?
  12. Sounds like NMM is not installed so there is not an NXM protocol to associate to. If so go to the folder where MO is installed and look for an executable called "nxmhandler.exe" and double click it. A new window will open up. If there is no entry for Skyrim right click and select "ADD". A new dialog will open and there will be some options to select from. Click on the one for Skyrim on the left and on the right in "select binary" navigate to the MO directory and select "ModOrganizer.exe" and click OK until all the dialogs close. That should associate the NXM links for you.
  13. Can you run the vanilla game from Steam? My point in telling about external programs came about after I was running Skyrim with ENB and installing mods. I took a break for a few days and when I started up again I had CDTs. At first I thought it was a mod and then ENB. When I loaded the vanilla Skyrim from Steam I still had the problem. I had traced it to the new version of precision X and its service that it ran. Don't dismiss external programs is all I am saying. By the way all other games ran fine, non ENB of course.
  14. I have found two programs that caused Skyrim to CDT when launched on my system and Razer Game Booster, Version 4.2.45.0 was one of them. Razer executable starts a new Windows service that does not shut down when the main program is closed. The service, RzKLService (32 bit), requires an End task form Windows Task Manager. The service caused my CTDs. The other one that gave me problems was EVGA PrecisionX 16, Version 5.2.0. The main PrecicionX executable spawns two other processes as shown in the task manager. They are EVGA PrecicionX 15 server and EVGA PrecicionX 15 server (32bit). Shutting down PrecicionX terminates the spawned servers and the game will launch as normal in both MO and from Steam. I have not tested other versions of these programs so I don't know if it was just these specific versions or not. Precision X is now at version 5.2.4 and Razer Game Booster has been rebranded as Razer Cortex. I have iobit game booster, version 3.4, installed and do not see any problems with it. External programs can make your game CDT. It makes trouble shooting very hard when the problem is outside of the game. Edit: I should mention that these programs did not give me problems with other games and if memory memory serves me correctly, I was using an ENB with Skyrim at the time.
  15. You mention Game Booster. Would that be Razer Game Booster by chance?
  16. As long as it is below the auto detected stuff it should stay where you place it.
  17. I am glad it helped. I was hesitant to suggest this not knowing how computer savvy you are, but it does seem to help with the 4GB launcher problems we are seeing.
  18. I have not seen this and all my hud items go away when nothing is equipped. It may just be a setting in one of the mods. Do you have any other mods in addition to my list? I will look to see if anything stands out in my game.
  19. It may be a good idea to make a restore point before doing this. First some required reading How to set the path in Microsoft Windows if you need it. Create a new plain text file on the desktop, call it “path backup.txtâ€. Open windows file explorer and navigate to the falloutNV folder. When there click in the address box and highlight the text and copy it. Paste this into “path Backup.txt. Mine looks like this: D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas Click the start button and type “advanced system settings†without quotes in the edit box. You should see an entry in the control panel section. Click on it and it will open the advanced properties tab in the system properties window. At the bottom click on the Environment Variables button. Another window will open. In the bottom section, use the scrollbar until you see the word “Path†on the left side. Click on the path to highlight it and select the edit button below it. The edit system variable window will open. When it opens it should have “Variable value†highlighted. Right click there and select copy then hit cancel. I am doing this so you can see what the whole thing looks like and to make a backup if anything goes wrong. Paste this into your “path backup.txt†twice each on a new line and save it. Mine looks like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common;C:\Python27\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\iCLS Client\;C:\Program Files\Intel\iCLS Client\;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\SnapAPI\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared On the second line add a semicolon and copy your fallout directory after it. The whole thing will look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common;C:\Python27\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\iCLS Client\;C:\Program Files\Intel\iCLS Client\;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;%SYSTEMROOT%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\SnapAPI\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Shared;D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas Save the “path backup.txt†file again. So all we need to do is add a semicolon with your FNV path to the variable. Back to the environment window and click the path and hit edit. When that opens hit your “END†key to go to the end of the text string. Add a semicolon and your fallout path. Like this: ;D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas Hit OK three times and reboot your computer.
  20. If you have powered power armor installed it will disable the zoom. There is the PAconfig in the apparel menu that you can configure view settings. The first item, "Allow Scopeless Zoom without PAHelmet" must be enabled. If you equip the binocular that is grayed out it simulates the right click zoom. You may need to equip a regular binocular first and use it and then equip the grayed one to get it to work.
  21. If you are comfortable editing Windows system variables add the Fallout folder path to the Windows path in the environment variables section. Don't forget to restart Windows after you do. This has fixed the 4GB launched for me. I now run the 4GB launcher without the arguments after doing this.
  22. I had this problem a while back and I came up with this solution, Multi monitor cursor restriction to primary monitor, I hope it helps.
  23. In my testing the script extender method must be used. So you mod in MO and run the game from Steam. I have also found out that running the game this way will use the configuration files from My Games instead of the last used profile. I tested this by deleting the ini files in the profile directory and launching the game from Steam. There was no prompt to set the graphic settings on startup. I did the same with the ini files in the My Games and got a prompt to setup the graphic option. You also may have a corrupt modorganizer.ini file. To test this, archive the current one in the Mod Organizer folder and then rename or delete it and start MO. Mo will create a new modorganizer.ini when it starts. Warning this will reset MO to like being run for the first time, so you will be prompted to select the game you wish to mod and will erase any tool executables you have setup. EDIT: Make sure that you have hook.dll and mo_path.txt in the Obliviov, OBSE,Plugins folder. This is in the games vanilla folder structure. If it is not there then change the scriptextender option back to Mod Organizer, restart MO and change it back to scriptextender again. Restear Mo and see if that helps. The path to the game is in mo_path.txt and should look similar to this, your path will vary: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion\ModOrganizer.
  24. I have not tested Directors chair (DC) yet. My test setup is currently torn apart. From looking at DC you will have to install the following first: DYNAVISION 2 - Dynamic Lens Effect The IMAGINATOR - Visual Control Device CINEMATECH - Film Grains and Styles The Mod Configuration Menu Dynavision and Imaginator are single ESPs, cinematech has an ESP, menus and other assets. They do install from MO. Directors Chair will throw an error whan installed from MO and needs to be installed from FOMM. File menus/prefabs/includes HUDMainMenu.xmI couldn't be extracted is the error. If you have oHUD installed most likely it will need to be reinstalled and moved to a higher priority to work.
  25. Thanks, I just tried it out. I have a problem with the pip boy items menu. It looks like all of the selections on the bottom are on top of each other in the lower left corner. Anyone else see that? EDIT: This looks to be like a conflict between mods on my already working UI install. i will need to rebuild from scratch to test.
