DimmDrive and Mod Organizer
GSDFan replied to thetommartowseries's question in Mod Organizer Support
I have not seen this. I will modify my Dimdrive to this configuration to test. Meantime what version of MO are you using? -
When you are at the point when you first open the archive you will see a top level folder called skse_1_07_01. Click the triangle to the left of it to reveal sub folder and files. You will see a Data folder. Click on the Data folder once, right click and select "Set data directory" and you will have the green looks good. Click OK and activate the new mod.

None of my Skyprocs are working after update
GSDFan replied to Jverv's question in Mod Organizer Support
I did an in-place upgrade without any errors. You may want to just go through the steps of the setting them up again. In the past I have had to do that with the Skyproc patchers. -
This is a Known issue in 1.2.16. Some links for information: None of my Skyprocs are working after update https://issue.tannin....izer/issues/950

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but that can be turned off in the Plugins tab under Basic diagnosis plugin. Setting "check_modorder" to false will quiet the warning. Might be the kind of thing to go it in the guide at the beginning configuration.

Sorry that it didn't work, thanks for trying. If I can ask do you have nexus mod manager installed? MO piggybacks on the nxm link when it is installed. MO uses the system registered web browser. If IE opens when you press the globe icon on the tool bar then that is the system default. As far as I know the only way to change it is to make another browser the system default. That can be done from the settings in the browser.

Installing Project Nevada, MCM, DUI with MO
GSDFan replied to sprintonwater's question in Mod Organizer Support
I hav not modded FNV in a while so I am not sure about the PN problem, but the start_menu.xml from DUI is being overwritten. Move DUI below any UI mods to get rid of the message. From the Fear and Loathing guide: Darnified UI Installation: Move DarnUI to just after The Weapon Mod Menu in the left pane of MO.Note: Many of the prior mods needed to 'see' DarnUI when installed, but the correct file priority with UIO will be with DarnUI loaded in this spot. -
Just want to say that this is indicative of reinstalling / Verifying the game cache with steam and not running the game from steam afterwards.

Tannin just released v1.2.15 so expect bugs. If you can live with them then OK, otherwise you can install v1.2.14 which is stable.
-
This was addressed in New laptop, Windows 8.1 thinks mods are apps. post 12. Edt: Original poster never got back to answer if it worked. Please try it and report back.
-
A little more info would be helpful. What version of MO are you running? Did you update to v1.2.15? Version 1.2.15 has some bugs and Tannin requests that they be posted on the issue tracker to be properly addressed.

I understand the act of locking out the Nexus comments and the frustration it must cause you. If it helps to reduce the frustration I would like to volunteer testing any version of MO before it is released to the public. I am sure there are a few more people around that would volunteer also. I may not be able to code or write scripts, but I can surely put MO through its paces and report any bugs encountered.

So when you say that no mods are no mods loaded are you referring to the UI mods or all the mods? It looks like you are running a Polish, Czech or Russia version of Fallout. I would look at How to use FNV4GB with non-English version of FNV as a starting point. Some things to try: Launch NVSE from MO, then open the console and type "GetNVSEVersion" (without the quotes). It should print back "NVSE version: xx", where xx is the version of NVSE that is installed. This can be done at the initial game screen. Google “free commander†and download the setup file and install it on your system. In MO set up the free commander as an executable and run it from inside of MO. Use it to navigate to the FNV data directory. You should see the ESPs from the installed and activated mods. This will tell us if NVSE is installed and working and Free commander will tell us if the MO virtual file system is working. Please report back with your findings.

Are you running the game from the run button in MO? Are all of the mods enabled? Do you have New Vegas Script extender installed? A little more info would be nice. List the steps you went through to install mods, install nvse and how you start the game and then we can help more.

Mod Organizer executables and mods problem.
GSDFan replied to Cresbot's question in Mod Organizer Support
There is an option in MO to check to see if FNIS needs to be updated when the game is launched. The behavior you describe sounds like FNIS checker is enabled. When the checker is enabled a message will pop up stating that "FNIS source data has been changed. You should run GenerateFNIS.exe now". This will happen when any executable is run. If you selected the "Remember selection" and pressed Yes the dialog will not return until the dialog messages is reset in settings. To check the setting go to settings and select the plugins tab and look for the FNIS Checker plugin. Most likely it is enabled. The default setting is false for both options. restart MO if you make any changes. -
My Skyrim install, which I have been using daily has three premium and the CDN server and my FNV install that is older has twenty three known servers. I cut them out and the list updated with the four that show up in my skyrim install. I am wondering if they cut the number of servers when they set up the CDN network.
-
As you download mods the known server list will populate with more selections. One thing you can try is to go into your profile on the Nexus site and under "Favourite download location" select a location as close to you as possible.

Usually it is the other way around. Is IE11 registered as the default web browser on your system and did it work before the NMM change? When you click a DWM link on the Nexus what happens?

Problem switching between profiles
GSDFan replied to Mauxe's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
When an ENB is used it is in the vanilla directory and used all the time. Each profile in MO has its own set of INI files that are separate from the ones in MY Games folder. When you modify the ini files in the active profile only those files are modified. You would have to add bfloatpointrendertarget to that one in My Games also. Unless you copied a profile to a new one, a new profile will contain the ini files from the vanilla directory. The overwrite folder is persistent across all profiles. You have to right click the overwrite folder and create a mod from it. Give it a name appropriate for the profile. -
Did you shut down MO and restart after you did that?

Install Skyrim Revisited on top of STEP:Extended OK?

Getting random flashing graphical glitches
GSDFan replied to natranr's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Are the SkyrimXX.ini you posted from the current active profile and not the ones from My Games \ skyrim? Just checking you are using the correct ones. -
New laptop, Windows 8.1 thinks mods are apps.
GSDFan replied to Madcad7's question in General Skyrim LE Support
From the posts here I assume that nexus mod manager has never been installed on this computer. Am I correct? I have found in the past that when I remove NMM the NXM links get messed up and I have a hard time getting it to work. Try the following, press the Windows start button and in the text box type “associationâ€, without quotes. You should see the Change file types associated with a file extension link. Click it to open the set associations Window. Scroll down and look for .nxm in the list. If it is there and you have NMM installed it should have NMM as the as the program associated with it. I am not sure what the setting will be if NMM is not installed, but I guess the association will not exist at all. Go to your MO install directory and look for the nxmhandler.exe program. Double click it to run it. Look for an entry for the game you want to handle. You can have multiple entries for a given game. If your game is not there then right click and select add to make a new entry. You will get a dialog for a game. Select one in the left pane and in the right pane click the button next to the “Select Binary†text field. Navigate to your install of MO and select ModOrganizer.exe as the program to run. Click OK and then close to exit. This should set up the proper association for you. If the game you want to handle is there and the path points to the correct install of MO then try clicking on the "Register Active" button to the right of the Primary Handler field. This should have the path to nxmhandler.exe in your MO install. -
Dragon 4k-8k Texture Mod Extracting error + Facelift Overhaul
GSDFan replied to Sencho's question in Mod Organizer Support
I got the same error with the 4-8k file. I used winrar to convert it to a rar file and it worked fine. I then used 7z to repackage and reinstalled the mod and it worked fine. I suspect something might be wrong with the original archive. @hishutup, the picture above is not the mod itself, only a representation of the "No game data on top level". there is no readme file, just meshes and textures.
