Unlikely to get implemented any time soon.

I felt this way too, and although I haven't used WB for the entire STEP package, I did notice it was unnecessarily complex when I played with it.  I'm sure Z will have something to say about this however.  We talked about it over VoIP a couple weeks ago and he did make some good points, but I can't remember them >.< Realistically, as long as they're using either MO or WB I really couldn't care less. arrgh! Naw, MO is fine I'm sure. For those of us that like to have complete control however, WB is superior. Its conflict resolution alone is way underappreciated. WB is about 4 feature-rich mod-management utilities all in one (and it does not run in the background :P I got used to Wrye Bash, I can't get used to Mod Organiser. Might switch over at some point in the future, though.

Epic moments in Skyrim

Why, just why... -

Needs more scenes for a proper comparison. ENB and no SSAO should be there too.

Enhanced and fuller looking cities
Besidilo replied to Ramrod51's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
I use Open Cities and Expanded Towns and Villages. There are also Better Docks and Solitude Docks District that improve the area around Solitude. I wouldn't mind using Whiterun Outskirts Market, but that's incompatible with Open Cities, until somebody makes a compatibility patch at least. Oh, and I use the Skyrim: Places mods. There's the Immersive Cities Project, that so far covers Whiterun only, which looks a part. I wish 7K Better Whiterun - City Under Construction was still developed. -
I thought it was already in STEP. :P

How does one go about making CoT and RLwC (or RCRN) compatible?

Yup, it even says so in the mod's description.

iPresentInterval=1That forces the in-game vertical synchronisation on. I think it was on this forum where I found out about issues when V-sync is disable in Skyrim.ini and other issues related to timescale and such. There was a big discussion thread on Bethesda forums IIRC, but it was a while since the last time I wandered there.

You don't want to force Vsync through drivers in Skyrim. Just use the standard Vsync provided and disable mouse acceleration to get rid of the mouse lag.

This is a good starting point. Make sure they're getting enough power too. BTW, PCI-E 2.0 x8 makes almost no difference performance-wise compared to PCI-E 3.0 x16, so if you get to that point anyhow, no f***s should be given. Really? I figured the much higher bandwidth from the x16 would be necessary, although I guess most SLI/Crossfire setups run on dual x8's. If this is true, what's the big to-do about PCI-e 3.0? Outside of Tri and Quad-SLI setups @ 5760x1200, there's not much in it. PCI-E 2.0 x8 has always been sufficient for most gamers, with less than 3% performance difference at 1920x1080.

Shadows and Texture Lines - How to resolve?
Besidilo replied to TechAngel85's question in General Skyrim LE Support
These look like Serious HD textures to me. Just replace them with SRO and be done with it... -

Wut. Never have I seen anything like that in game or IRL.

Second set in Z's comparison looks best, so use his recommended settings.

I need a new Survival/Realism mod. :(
Besidilo replied to Sairven's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Personally, I'm waiting for Last Seed and Frostfall 2.0 by Chesko. His mods are some of the best out there, and I'd take any of his betas over most other new mods. With that said, you could try Eat and Sleep by kuertee in the meantime, which seems well supported at the moment, and I know kuertee is fairly active on Bethesda forums. -
Merging Lockpicking and Pickpocketing seems like a weird thing to do if you ask me... I'm not a fun of overhauls. It's hard to keep track of the changes, and they defy the purpose behind STEP, which is to pick the best lore-friendly, polished and stable mods out there and merge them into a single entity. Including SkyRe in STEP would make the whole project dependent on that one mod, killing STEP team's work in the process. Whilst Skyrim Redone uses some nice ideas and modules, it is hardly a definite winner between all the overhauls and conflicts with too many mods to be a viable tool for us.

I'd imagine most of the STEP testers launch the game from one of the mod managers anyway. I know I do.

IMHO investing in a 4GB card is pointless if you game at 1920x1080, especially when you like to upgrade frequently (say every other year). By the time games really start using this much video memory, your card will be obsolete, or at best average, so future proofing in this regard is not the best idea - unless you're going to add more cards in the future.

Resolution, anti-aliasing used, textures resolution, additional mods... without knowing those, there's no way to tell. IMHO: 1280x720 and below -> 512MB VRAM 1440x900 to 1680x1050 -> 1GB VRAM 1920x1080 to 1920x1200 -> 1.5GB VRAM 2560x1440 to 2560x1600 -> 2GB VRAM Eyefinity/Nvidia Surround -> as much as you can You should be fine playing full STEP with 2K/4K textures and SMAA, assuming there's enough rendering power in the first place. I'm almost hitting the limit with my GTX 580 1.5GB when using 2K resolution textures at 2560x1440.
