  1. Check out The Elder Scrolls Quests series by the same author.
  2. Interesting NPCs The Elder Scrolls Places Open Cities (not really new content, but massively improves immersion) Whiterun Outskirts Market Solitude Docks District (unclean) Nernies City and Village Expansion (unclean) Expanded Towns and Villages (massive amount of UDRs) Elvenwood (never tested it myself) Moonpath to Elsweyr Mind you, not all of those are compatible.
  3. Has anybody tested this overhaul thoroughly? It seems to get good support from the author and the general ideas appeal to me, but I haven't had the time to test it yet.
  4. As per title, who are your favourite modders? The absolute best of the best, guys that release stuff you install without thinking twice about it? Mod authors that aren't well-known for just a single mod, that create clean and stable, professional-like content. I'd like to create a shortlist for other STEP users to follow and hopefully learn about some less known modders that know what they're doing. The ones I can think of right now: ArthmoorCaBaL (yup, his recent work deserves being here)Cheskoisokuhothtrooper44 (I think most of his work is fantastic)OpticShooter (SparrowPrince)PlutomanThomas KairaXenius
  5. Well hearthfire wasn't on sale just the rest of the stuff, i think it was about $18 just those. That seems about right. I was surprised you said it was half off, I thought Dawnguard was 33% off (£9.37) and Hearthfire was full price (£3.49).
  6. Could you by any chance compare it with SkyRealism ENB?
  7. Even the paper textures? I thought those should be omitted from being optimised by DDSopt. Same for Vurt's branches. Those aren't vanilla textures, those are mods :PÂ Vanilla = Textures.bsaOh, my bad. Which paper textures are we supposed to avoid then?

  9. I was going to suggest this yesterday. A very impressive ENB config.
  10. Mighty Magick Skyrim looks decent.
  11. A mod that I was waiting a long time for. Lack of variety in Skyrim doesn't make much sense. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23311/
  12. If you want to say the mod is broken, that's fine... but to imply that I put myself on a pedestal, or that I would be dismissive of other people's concerns, is egregiously false and incredibly unfair. If I have ever said anything to you (or anyone else) that made it seem as though I was being callus, or indifferent, then I sincerely apologize. That was NEVER my intention. I am sorry. I must had confused you with someone else, since we did exchange a few messages in your thread on Nexus and I can't remember you ever being arrogant in any way. No need to apologise, like I said to you weeks ago, I hope you will be able to clean your mod up so we can use it with other mods in future STEP. :)
  13. I thought 2.0 was out. Still waiting. :p
  14. Working fine here.
  15. Other than RCRN, RLwC or FXAA Injectors, there isn't much. You could try Immersive Environment, which is based on the FXAA Inject, or SweetFX, which uses custom shaders and merges SMAA+FXAA+LumaSharpen filters. RLwC 4.0 and RCRN 3.5 look promising, but they are a long way from being released. There are mods affecting interiors/nights/removing tint, but it's hard to recommend any of them since they are all a matter of taste.
  16. Frostfall 1.6.1 will be fully compatible with Climates of Tamriel and STEP, and I highly recommend it. It's a complex mod and Chesko is well known for the quality of his mods. At the current rate, the new version should be out within two weeks (hopefully).
  17. The next update should be clean of any UDRs. Didn't take long to convince kristakahashi to do something about bad edits. :) With 98 NPCs, 72 of which are fully voiced with some others in the works, I think this could be one of the core additions to the future lore-friendly RP pack.
  18. I must have missed this mod. These are some quality textures.
  19. So what you guys are saying, we need new textures for this mod. :p
  20. Skyrim Bigger Trees If this mod doesn't deserve to be in STEP, I don't know what does.
  21. What I meant is that DP 1.1+ and HDMI Type B are not common in cheap monitors where cutting the costs is important. Most IPS manufacturers don't consider 120 Hz panels something that's needed on the market right now. You'd be surprised how many people don't notice/care about the differences between TN and IPS panels, and consider it a waste of money in general. 3D Gaming doesn't seem likely to succeed (it was doomed to fail anyway), mainstream OLED TVs aren't even out yet, and producing monitors on a mass scale is not happening any time soon. The most likely upgrade we're gonna see in the future is 4K (or 2K, depending on how you see it) resolution, which would require higher bandwidth anyway, which brings hope to full 2560x1600 120 Hz displays. Will it be implemented with IPS panels? That's really hard to say. It's not an ideal technology and doesn't have that large appeal in reality.
  22. Catleaps don't do 120 Hz. I know quite a bit about them considering that I own a Hazro myself (also based on a cheap IPS panel that Apple Cinema Display uses). There are hardware limitations preventing the cables from providing higher bandwidth. Other interfaces could be used but they won't be introduced to mass market any time soon for all I know. And new Catleaps/Yamakasi don't overclock anywhere near as good due to a different PCB used, yada yada. They're hardly mainstream monitors either. Forgive me for disagreeing with you on some hardware issues, that's just the way I am. :(
