Infinite Loading with Modded New Game (Skyrim)
AyleidRuin replied to Tykune's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Does your "skse.ini" have these values: [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 <default heap initial allocation size in megabytes, vanilla size is 512>ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 <scrap heap size in megabytes, vanilla size is 256>https://wiki.step-project.com/Skyrim_Script_Extender How about "Skyrim.ini" on these:[Papyrus]fExtraTaskletBudgetMS=1.6fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=1200fUpdateBudgetMS=1.6iMaxAllocatedMemoryBytes=8388608iMaxMemoryPageSize=4096iMinMemoryPageSize=128https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_INI/Papyrus Not to take away from STEP but here is a Great Stability Guide: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50244/? I don't see a Load Order in your first post though there are too many mods that could do this. Everytime this has happen to me, it was because of bad ini files. But I'm just guessing. Take it for what you will. What GrantSP said about backing up your load order than turning off the First Half of your Load Order->Run Game (vice-versa for 2nd half) and see if the Problem persists is the Default way of Troubleshooting Bethesda Titles. =Backing UP All of the Config files is the Best Practice :) -
Congratulations Tannin! I look forward to a Much Better NMM :P With best wishes, Good Luck!

Specific mods won't enable by mouse
AyleidRuin replied to Thraxis's question in Mod Organizer Support
Just an Idea: You could re-install. IOW Delete all folders under "\Mod Organizer" EXCEPT for these folders/files: \Downloads \Mods \Overwrite \Profiles and these Files: ModOrganizer.ini, nxmhandlers.ini, and categories.dat. -> Then Re-Install Found Here: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer_Advanced Under "Maintenance" -Good Luck :) -
Hi Abusive_Spinach! Welcome to STEP :D Have yea found BethINI? FINIp=old program. DoubleYou's da man! =An INI creator that "Fixes" Bethesda's ini's. Your Specs are Overkill for Fear & Loathing and Your load order looks fine... tho I skimmed it. Similar to mine. Nothing out of Place. Anti-Aliasing... are you using too much? Being a Nvidia card you could be doubling up on AA somewhere. ENB Boost... Turn off the Graphic settings and just run the Boost. OR Turn it off completely. But I'm just shooting ideas. Good Luck!

My answers... which are solely IMO :P Stats/Skills/Traits questions You'll Max Out WAY b4 IF you leave the EXP gain the same throughout. Leave it till lvl 20 then put it down to 25% or something. You should go for the Wild Wasteland. No its not Immersion breaking at all. Fits real nice :D Especially w/ EssArrBee's Guide :D Tag Science, Repair and Lockpicking... and Lvl that S#1T up to Max 1st :P Charisma does suk take all the points out of it. Don't lvl anything to max. I like this Guide for Char Creation: Strength=3 (4) Perception=5 (6) Endurance=8 (9) Charisma=1 Intelligence=9 (10) Agility=6 (8) Luck=8 (9) Since We have the Project Nevada Mods... We can Have a Perk Every Level. Use the trait that adds 1point to special. (4get what its called) when you want :P FAQ? No man. Plenty out there for yea :P BUT here's where A Lot of us go.=Chk out the "Bug" sections on quests/areas. Add me on Steam if yea want a quick tip. Same name as here. I will give you a rundown what I do. I stay in Goodsprings for a While. When I do leave I play the Main quest AND the side Quests all on down thru Primm n around to Novak,188 and Vegas. Few stops in between ofc. Not Really Spoilers... but w/e Other than that... Play the Game xD Have Fun! :D

Fallout.ini and Falloutprefs.ini are identical?!?
AyleidRuin replied to JUNKdeLUXE's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
fINIp NV Absolutely adds Performance and Stability. Please don't skip it JUNKIEdeLUXE! It's definitely worth doing :D An example from me would be loading up the pip boy and Vats don't Lag nearly as much as it did b4 I used it. Other small hitching/stuttering (I feel) was cured with it also. Your choice ofc :) -
I had the "Out of Memory" problem a few weeks ago. I did 2 things. 1st: NVSE.ini changed to "DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=384". 256 is a good start too. 2nd: I disabled the "bReplaceHeap" in the "sr_Fallout_Stutter_Remover.ini" Found here: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1417360-out-of-memory-crash-with-fnv4gb/ Good Luck :D

Green Rectangle Cursor on Black Screen Startup error
AyleidRuin replied to baronaatista's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Welcome to the STEP Community Baronaatista. I hope you enjoy your stay :) This sounds like a UAC issue. For having the SteamApps under \Program Files(x86)\Steam I would suggest disabling your Windows UAC under the Control Panal->User Accounts and Search "UAC". Or you can check out this guide below for a diferent solution. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Installation =under "Security Settings". -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
AyleidRuin replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Here are my ini's that DoubleYou's fINIp NV produced PLUS the F&L and Z-Fighting Tweaks: Fallout.ini FalloutPrefs.ini A Lot of the lines are removed from the default generated ini's. And I am happy to report that my game is better off for it. I haven't been back to New vegas since I switched the ini's, but Big Mountain has no problems :) No stuttering/hitching or the like. -
Open this file: "EnbSeries.ini" and at the top should be this to disable the effects: [GLOBAL]UseEffect=false Here's a Great guide on all the settings/files.

FalloutPrefs.ini empty in mod organizer-
AyleidRuin replied to Eliian's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Yea... That is weird :P Maybe the registry keys didn't follow through? Just an FYI: The fallout.ini and falloutprefs.ini files that MO uses are located: \Mod Organizer\Profiles\[Your Profile Name]\Falllout.ini For example mine is here: C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\ModOrganizer\profiles\Fear & Loathing\ -
Crashing no mods installed
AyleidRuin replied to CreamyRaccoon's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
When I have that problem I check the "Plugins.txt", "LoadOrdrer.txt" and others like it. Under \AppData\Local\FalloutNV =AppData may be hidden. and \Mod Organizer\Profiles\[ProfileName]\Plugins.txt ; LoadOrder.txt and the like. I do that to make sure nothing is out of order or to make sure nothing was added that's not suppose to be listed. It happens. No go? Then I would Verify Integrity of Game Cache and make sure that's all good. Still Problems? Then do what GrantSP said and give us some Logs https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer Check "8.1" under "General Tab" of MO's Options for the Log Level. -
If the skill is a low rank (>30), I'll take the full 10. Anything above lvl50 I'll just take it and not get any bonus. Main skills are fine, but maxing out everything b4 lvl 25 is kinda dumb :P

F&L word for word... CTD's everywhere?!
AyleidRuin replied to iShoZza's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
idn if this will work but here it goes. Backup your enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini b4 you do this :) So, you have your Pretty Graphic ENB picked out. The Graphic settings are in the enbSeries.ini. So Copy/Pasta from section "[GLOBAL]" to section "[RAYS]". =ofc include the [RAYS] settings. Don't add the [fix], or any other section past [RAYS], to the enbseries.ini. Fixed? E ENB is under Mod review on Nexus. Which is sorta a Red flag :/ I found it on Steam Workshop, but only for Skyrim. I use this handy Manager for my ENBs: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24402/? =Yes it works for F:NV Worse case: Pick another ENB -
F&L word for word... CTD's everywhere?!
AyleidRuin replied to iShoZza's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Googleing shows that ENB may be the culprit. Seems like a lot of fixes in these links but enblocal.ini->Quote: "I know it sounds counterproductive but what fixed it for me (in fallout 3) was changing the FixTransparencyBugs=truetoFixTransparencyBugs=false In the [FIX] section of enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini (I'm not sure which takes precedence and since the section is in both files I always change both). " https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2506179-transparent-walls-in-some-building-with-enb/ https://www.loverslab.com/topic/25350-enb-transparent-surroundings-help/ No help? Disable ENB all together and see how you make out. -

AyleidRuin replied to biohaaazard's question in Mod Organizer Support
Try going back to version 1.2.18. 1.3.x is the beta build. Also, what do the \Mod Organizer\Logs say? Here's a thread on the Beta: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/7184-announcement-mod-organizer-13b-the-b-is-for-beta-and-the-future-of-mo-updated-135-is-out-to-the-public/ -
F&L word for word... CTD's everywhere?!
AyleidRuin replied to iShoZza's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
https://forum.step-project.com/topic/5279-fl-ini-tweaks/ At first glance, it looks like you have a lot of the "Threaded=1" tweaks in your ini files. I would back up your .inis and revert to default. A lot of those threaded tweaks are Bull$#1T. Quote from EssArrBee ^Link: "Threaded AI - Possible cause of crashes; use at your own risk". So start there. Revert to default and just add the F&L ini Tweaks and see if you still have CTDs. -
Initialization failed: game not found
AyleidRuin replied to biohaaazard's question in Mod Organizer Support
First thought is a Registry Key missing. Run "SkyrimLauncher.exe" to throw it back in the Registry. If that ain't the problem you can try reinstalling MO. Delete all sub-folders under \Mod Organizer EXCEPT for These Four sub-folders: \Downloads \Mods \Overwrite \Profiles. Then reinstall MO (7zip->Copy/Pasta). NOTE: this will put all settings back to default, but you will keep your Profiles/Mod Lists. -
Kudos to Nozzer66 and GrantSP for their explanation :) This is probably TMI but here it goes :P Install Order (Pane) is not like the LOAD Order (LOOT handles that). You may move mods up and down the list (drag&drop/cntrl+↑↓). When there are Conflicts, Identify the FILE that's overwriting (spot the flags) and choose whether to deal with them or not: In the Install Pane, Double Click the Mod and that Pop-up is your Best Friend. "Conflicts" Tab and "Files" Tab. Conflict will show what is overwriting what. Identify the file you want and HIDE the file (in the Files Tab) you don't want. Not the right Mod? Go to that mod and do the same. For Example: 2 mods. EEO and ICW. EEO Install Order number is lets say #51. ICW is #78. ICW is Overwriting a lot of Textures you Do Not Want Overwritten. Go to ICW's File Tab and Hide those Conflicting Files. ::: drag&drop ICW to #50 and you will see the flag change. bc #51.EEO now takes priority over #50.ICW and so on up the Install Order list. OVERWRITE folder: In the Install Pane (Left side) At the Bottom is a "folder" called "OVERWRITE". In RED letters IF something is in it. These files will overwrite any other (same folder/file named) files in your Install Order. When I want to patch I open these Apps in this order in MO: LOOT/FNIS/Wyre Bash Patch/SUM-Skyproccer. The patches will go into the "OVERWRITE" folder. So when I'm done with my patches I "Right-Click" the Overwrite folder and select "Create Mod". I name it the Date of the patch. Which contains all the patches from those programs. Ideally you want to keep the Overwrite Folder Empty. Something in there? Right click it and name it something and move it ↑↓ the Install Order. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer Off Topic: About STEP 2.2.x Install Order into MO. It is made this way so any Bethesda mod amateurs can stop by and follow it without any problems. Ofc they could jumble all the mods up and the game will still load...but there will be many conflicts or missing textures in the game. Just like what I attempted to explain above. So really for bonus points after the Core STEP is installed and running, 7zip up the \profiles and \Mods folders and keep them for safe keeping :)

Master files in the overwrite thing
AyleidRuin replied to Ethakis's question in Mod Organizer Support
STEP MO Guide on the Overwrite Folder The "OVERWRITE" is a Folder and whatever is in that folder will Overwrite the Files in other Plugins/Mods/Textures etc...Since it is at the Bottom of the Install Pane in MO. Right Click on the red letter "Overwrite" and select "Create Mod". Name it to the mod you want to merge to or a New Name...which will create a new folder in the "\Mod Organizer\Mods" folder. -
Problems Merging New Vegas Uncut
AyleidRuin replied to binn05's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
I tripped over that part so... Are you clicking on the right Column? Meaning the Program is split down the middle. We are talking about the right side (looking at the screen w/ the Green and Red parts.) We Drag the blank line (from the BMDT Column) and drop it in the far right NewVegasUncutSeries Column. -
@Octopuss I had that problem. fShadowBiasScale= (0.3500 or =0.6 or =1.0 ) was my culprit. =0.3500 is what I use. There are a lot of vids on it with lot of different answers. But I'm fairly certain it's the fShadowBiasScale Here's a Mod that suppose to raise the "low shadow depth bias" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/9426/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D9426%26preview%3D&pUp=1

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
AyleidRuin replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
@EssArrBee I saw you made a profile for Xpadder. Thank You :) Though I don't have Xpadder (so I can't test it out) but I do have Pinnacle Game Profiler. For your Xpadder profile: do you have it setup so you're using All keyboard/mouse keys? Meaning do you turn Off 360 controller in the New Vegas Menu? OR do you have it so your using both FNV 360 and KB/M?: How to word this?: Pinnacle lets me setup so I can press a key and switch to different configs. Ex: hold in "Left Trigger" to switch to "Blue/2nd" config or "Orange/3rd", etc. Does Xpadder have something like that? bc if it does I wonder if your profile is like that. EDIT: I set it up so I have 2 configs on 1 profile. 1st is Default. Where I let New Vegas handle the 360 controller except for "Left Bumper" and "Back Button". =those are the ones that Project Nevada messes with and they glitch out. Then for the "Left Trigger" I have it so pinnacle switches to a "2nd" mode. Which houses all the Project Nevada/NVSE Flashlight/JIP keys. Then when I release Left Trigger it goes back to the unmapped keys in Pinnacle and New Vegas takes over the GamePad. Without interfering w/ each other. Surprisingly, it works well. TL;DR: Everything is working fine w/ both "Emulated KB/M" and "New Vegas Menu: GamePad Enabled". -
