EVE - Essential Visual Enhancements had an Update recently. The mod "EVE No GRA v1point16dot1 Update" description says to install separately. Quote: "This update replaces the corrupted EVE No GRA file from v1.16. (do a regular install, not an Upgrade)" I don't know how to go about adding it into the STEP:F&L or if I even should. It adds: "EVE FNV - NO GRA.esp" Original is: "EVE FNV - ALL DLC.esp" What I was thinking is saying: Download both files. Install the 1st. Then the 2nd. uno...like the other mods are layed out in the STEP. But like many, I have the Ult. Edition. So I have the GunRunners Arsenal and the Packs. I'm not installing the update and I don't want to add another plugin to our Ceiling(140max). But still felt compelled to bother you guys Any thoughts? The Fear & Loathing STEP looks Great so far Glad to not have to install FOMM this time around -
Thank You EssArrBee for posting that the Multicore/Memory/Havok tweaks are junk I did, however, add the resolution change to the F&L guide. MO Default was set to: iSize W=1152 iSize H=648. I worded it to say "change to Your Own Resolution", along with the falloutprefs.ini 1920/1080 variables. Still thought it best to add it in, in case anyone trips over it. Like I did

Nor in the "Yup-Base Game+AllDLC.esm I am thinking to ignore but was still compelled to start a topic :P The following is quoted from the F&V Wiki under "Merging New Vegas Uncut" " Now make sure the new mod is ticked and open FNVEdit through MO. Right click the list and "Select None". Tick "YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm" and "NewVegasUncutSeries.esp", then expand "NewVegasUncutSeries.esp" and the record Armor. Click record 00134094, then drag line BMDT - Biped Data from the YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm column to the NewVegasUncutSeries.esp column. Now do the same for line DATA - Data and DNAM -. Now expand Dialog Topic->0010E028. Click record 001205A6, and then drag line Responses->Response->NAM1 - Response Text from the YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm column to the NewVegasUncutSeries.esp column. " I also edited the section before that where it says to drag the collum. I didn't know "move it to the right" so I added that in. Once answered I will request a Modder to delete this topic. Great suggestion Audley :) EssArrBee mentioned about "un-checking the BSAs since they may mess up file priority" and see if MO->fnv/4gb will run.

I had the same problem. My only solution was to do a Clean Install of Windows. (Win7Pro.x64) I started a thread last November about it. https://forum.step-project.com/topic/3286-mo-and-nvse-crash/page-3 Suffice to say after many different ideas, a clean install was what solved my problem. I thought it was the way MO Hooks into the game, but I didn't find a solution. I started a Bug Tracker w/ Tannin, but so have a few people on the same issue. (FNV works but not MO->FNV/4GB) If you do find a solution without going the Clean Install route, please post it EDIT: Here's a Quote from Celeras on 2nd pg. of my thread:

There's not a fix yet. You will have to do manual download->add Mod in MO-> then "Query" the info. If Query Fails, Do this: Double click the mod (Information) and go to the "Nexus Info" tab. Then go to the Mod's Nexus page and Copy the Number towards the end of the "Link". EX: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58359/? Copy: 58359 and Paste that in the Nexus Tab-"Mod ID".

@keithinhanoi, CaptainCommunism, GSDFan Yup. Tried your Mods listed in Post #6 and I too get the same error. But Keith, I can still pick the other servers from around the world. So maybe try going back to the default settings in MO. =Which still show the "202" ofc :P Thank you for letting me know to do manual and query for a while :)

@ok2s Thank you for starting this thread though I think I had this problem a year ago :P The Workaround worked for me :D @Atardecer https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1931279-downloading-issues-update/page-20 Found this link about the "202" error that was in your log. Try: MO->Config->Nexus tab->Pick a Different server.

ah, I was totally off :) I thought you could get rid of that line easy by turning off the Land Shadows. Not that I tried :D I still like your tweak. Didn't read that before. I don't have any Z-Fighting right now. But I Do want to lower my fNearDistance below 19 because that clipping (seeing through walls while standing beside them/any surface close to player) Breaks Immersion. So I'm going to try out: fNearDistance=15(Default?) and your tweak fSplitDistanceMult=4.0000 and see how I make out. UPDATE: Thank you DoubleYou. skyrim.ini [Terrain Manager] fSplitDistanceMult=4.0000 is the better tweak. I changed my fNear back to default. I don't have that ground Shadow line and No Z-Fighting. lol though who knows if it will stay that way :P

Hellanios makes a good point. Shadows b4 my ENB setup were fine. But after I installed ENB SkyRealism I had to change A lot of my variables to what it is now. @DoubleYou Saw you had Land and Grass shadows turned off. Is that because of that ugly render line I tried to explain in my previous post? I saw you aren't done tweaking them. jw

Hi STEP. A lil late but wanted to share... Here are some Answers copied from Geforce.com/Guides for the Highlighted Green Default Shadow Variables z929669 posted. I hope this isn't TMI. If it is, Admins Please Delete it. NOTE: I agree with these Answers but NOT the Tweaks: My Successful Tweak for the Ground Shadow Lines Close to/In front of player: =uTube vid of Shadow Line. STEP Z-Fighting fix= fNearDistance=20.0000-25.0000 (mine is=17.0000). Which has also fixed my Shadow Line problem. With fNearDistance=19.0000 set, the Shadow Ground Lines that run Horizontal in front of the player disappear. I am still trying to find the sweet spot with SkyReaLism ENB and the Shadow tweaks in the Skyrim.ini/prefs.ini. fNearDistance=19 clips at walls (corner of screen) but fNearDistance=20+ Clips ¼ of the screen at Walls. I had fNearDistance=18.0000 set but shadow lines were present, though I didn't have clipping next to walls/objects. I thought it may have to do with my FieldOfView=70 that fNeardistance=19 got rid of the lines. fShadowBiasScale=.2500-.6000 is the fix I found googling, but after trying different variables with no change, I changed fNearDistance=19.0000 and lines were gone. Display sections for Skyrim/Prefs.ini : Only the Shadow Variables : My shadows are coming along quite nicely :D

Gun Runners Actually Run Guns : New posts, on the Mods page, are asking for a compatibility patch for Weapons of the New Millenia. Problems with the quest with WNM going into the Gun Runners HQ. Plus a complaint about the caravan issues but that's vanilla RAI and nothing you can do. -

I have Bounties 1 and 2 (with Fixes for 2) + The Inheritance + Russel + With the Some-Guy series esm to tie it all together. With willow and Tales from the burning sands. All is good so far. About half way through Bounties 1. Finished Part 2 of Tales. -

aha! NVInteriors...4got all about that. Thanks EssArrBee. I was aware of the bungalow but I havn't found willow yet. So I gota feed it? hmm...will have to read up on that. Home/Harriot's House= I like how it adds a Map Marker for it. It's not In Novac though (home from tales)...so I would let it slide :) -

Just finished part 2 of Tales from the Burning Sands. I think it should be noted that this is also a House Mod with a Storage Sorter. After reading a lot XD I like the Mod. I don't like the Elevator, but tough. Don't know what to do with the "plant" :D New California Republic: I notice some ADDED rooms and structures, different from vanilla. I thought the NCR overhaul was just Armor/Clothes and such. Ex: the headquarters in Bolder City has 3 floors with added terminals and such. Does one of the FnL mods Add things to the NCR? I like it. Thought the NCR was in need of "things". No biggie. jw. -

@TDarkShadow If your not a N00b then yea just might have to uninstall/reinstall everything. Unlike Skyrim, New Vegas is a bit more finicky. After months of trying stuff...I just Revo Uninstalled everything to do with New Vegas. (Kept Mod Organizer and Moved it) Now I also did a Clean Install of Windows 7x64. Fresh/Clean/Format of everything. ^did that cuz I got a SSD and installed Steam with Win7 on that. For me: B4 MO would not open any of the exe like FnV4gb.exe or NVSE.exe but without using MO, meaning just Vanilla, It would play fine...sometimes :/ Like you, it froze right when opening the exe or it would go to the 1st "Bethesda/obsiden" logo (where steam overlay pops up) and freeze. Tried running in a sandbox. Event Viewer did not turn up anything either. Tried with some -arguments but to no avail. So it comes down to The Game. If EssArrBee's suggestion don't work...maybe try mine. IF yea do go threw with it, When yea first install the game/Vanilla and run the launcher, 7zip the whole vanilla directory and put it somewhere safe. Then 7zip it again after yea have your NVSE/FnvEDIT..etc. I'm sorry I don't have any tricks for yea but thats how I fixed my problem. Good Luck TDarkShadow :) -

Did what You said about "User Interface" section and Installed the Whole thing with FOMM in one go. Uhud->Darn Traits->Weapon Mod-> etc. same order as guide. Got rid of a Lot of my problems. Thought someone said about using Wrye Flash to do installs to but I don't have any experience with that. Didn't install the FlashLight though...Tried ohud->flashlight b4 but no go. But then I didn't combine them all into one MO mod either. ^did that (fixed my pause menu error startup_menu.xml with Darn n MCM) on a LvL 12 Char. No problems so far. But then the esp/esm are all the same. I thought the reason we installed seperately was bc of the .xml files don't interfere with each other. Untill we mark them "Hide" in Mod Organizer. -

Operation Fixed Terrain v3.1 ^Ever hear of it? Removes invisable barriers from Main game/interiors and DLCs. Mission Mojave - UT does the same, I believe. But since that's not in the Fear and Loathing STEP, I installed OFT and trying it out. -

You probably tried, But did yea try a manual install? Put what you want into the [data] directory? Drag what you want into the folder that you will "set as Data directory"? -

Yes and I was hoping I could combine the two or maybe go into the script and bind them that way. But till then a emulator will have to do. Combine as in keep native support with a secondary profile. Like clear Left shoulder button in game and use that with the emulator. Meaning: 2 schemes. 1st in emulator all clear/nothing bound. and the 2nd, a shift mode for the Project Nevada keys. But then again that may not work. I don't think the emulator will not let the game read the controller right.

Opps. Sorry EssArrBee. My fault. I mean Native Support from the game itself. Without an emulator. Yes. I can play just fine with an emulator. But the left stick is the wasd keys. And I have not figured out a way to make them fluid. As it would be following a analog stick. As opposed to the digital off/on of a keyboard key. If that makes any sence. ah...Let me say that differently without editing :D. Digital is On or Off. Analog "thumbstick" has that "position of protrusion from dead center". I am not putting down Project Nevada. I just need to find a solution for myself. Which I have found with an emulator. I just thought maybe someone else who plays like I do, may find this info useful.
