Inyuasha147
Hi, is anyone experiencing crashes at Vernon Square?I successfully entered and saved the first time, but since entering the hospital, the game crashes when ever you try to enter Vernon Square, eg the walkway to the Statesman Hotel and on leaving the Statesman Hotel. I can fast travel in but it crashes if you try to save or exit the area? The game also crashed consistently through level two of the hospital but I got through with constant save and reloads.I've not seen anything like this elsewhere in the game so far.Any help appreciatedThanks
Kelmych
I had the same problem; I'll have to lookup the plugin that caused the problem (it wasn't obvious) or perhaps someone else remembers. I had to disable a mod plugin while I was in that area and renable it when I left. I was never able to determine why the plugin caused the problem. Inyuasha147
Thanks Kelmych,If you can look it up that would be great. I wouldn't know where to start other than trial and error.Cheers
Tukka
I ran into this issue as well and was able to isolate the problem to UUF3P - FWE Patch.esp. I was able to fix this by tinkering in FO3Edit. Note that I don't really understand why it works, but it works. This is how it's done for anybody who wants to try it: * Open FO3Edit.* Right click the list, choose Select None.* Tick the UUF3P - FWE Patch.esp checkbox, click OK and wait for it to finish loading.* Expand UUF3P with the + sign, expand Worldspace, click Vernon Square.* In the right pane, under Parent > PNAM - > Flags > Use Water Data, right click the entry that reads "Use Water Data" in the UU3P column, and click Remove.* Confirm when you receive the warning, close FO3Edit. Someone who understands more about the technical side of things might be able to make a better fix that doesn't cause FO3Edit to start highlighting things in red. A few minutes of running around in Vernon Square didn't expose any problems with this fix, but my testing was hardly extensive. Kelmych
Thanks, I'll add this to the guide. It would also be good to add a note on the Nexus page. Water height is problematic in all the Bethesda games. I'm not sure of the best solution in FO3; I'll look around for more information on this. thommaal
* In the right pane, under Parent > PNAM - > Flags > Use Water Data, right click the entry that reads "Use Water Data" in the UU3P column, and click Remove.I don't see "Use Water Data" under flags, just "Use Map Data". I guess the problematic entry was removed in version 1.9.3.
