BUBISHI Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Allright. I just tried not to get it wrong.Thanks.
TechAngel85 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 It's been included in the Compilation at the end of the Guide. The separate standalone mod can now be found on the STEP Nexus page.
fbrafa Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 mmmmkay. I suspected this was the reason but I didn't see anything regarding this on the changelog. Thanks Tech!
TechAngel85 Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 It was a recent change. Ess isn't great at remembering that stuff, but we love him anyway.
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Have this mod really been added into the STEP Compilation ? I don't the files from it that are mentioned in the "STEP Compilation Files.txt" (same for Ultimate HD Fire Effects and Ultimate HD Torch but that concerns 2.10, the next release).
TechAngel85 Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Ess will have to commit since he's the only handling the Compilation.
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Ok, yeah I first though it was normal since 2.10 isn't out but then I saw in the 2.2.9.2 guide that the Ruffled Feather has been removed from its section too (and its listed on the STEP Compilation page, when Ultimate HD Fire Effects and Ultimate HD Torch aren't for now).
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 (edited) I'm coming back because since the last time I checked again what files where in the "The Ruffled Feather v4.3.1" mod and compared with the ones in the latest "STEP Compilation - High Res - 2292l" (once installed) and here is what I found: - "020 Argonian Access" files and the ESP are not in the Compilation - "030 Better Dynamic Snow - Required" files are not in the Compilation - "030 Better Dynamic Snow SMIM - Required" files are not in the Compilation - "031 Better Dynamic Snow 01 02 03 04" ESPs are not in the Compilation - "040 Decrease Those Plants" and "041 Decrease Those Plants - SFO" files are in the Compilation - "050 Lush Trees Vanilla" files are not in the Compilation - "060 Hairy Furry Pelts" files are not in the Compilation ("061 Hairy Furry Pelts Performance" not for high res I figured) - "080 Just-Ice" files are in the Compilation - "092 Moss Rocks - Legendary" files are in the Compilation - "100 Smoking Hot Load FX" file is not in the Compilation - "110 Suped-Up Stalhrim 2K" files are in the Compilation - "120 Sweetnuts" files are not in the Compilation - "140 Vibrant Auroras" files are not in the Compilation - "150 Red Mountain Particle Plume" files are not in the Compilation - "160 Rocks" files are not in the Compilation - "170 Fixacity - Whiterun" files are not in the Compilation - "180 Vanilla Females Booty Band-Aid" files are not in the Compilation I do not know if the files that are not in it are skipped on purpose (that was my first though ofc) and I know ESPs can be merged but I am still confused and wanted to bring that to you since you said that "The Rufled Feather" had been incorporated in the STEP Compilation. EDIT: Every Enhanced Distant Terrain files seems to be in here. (not 100% sure) Edited October 31, 2016 by Zorkha
Guest Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 A lot of those are not in there as they were not chosen or tested. It's just easier to keep everything in one place under one name. Some of the more irrelevant mods will be removed soon anyway, so the download should be easier to navigate. I'm not sure when Tech said he'd sort the new installer out, but I think he is busy with other stuff (just noting).
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted October 31, 2016 Posted October 31, 2016 Yeah I am so wrong, I should have checked in the Data tab in MO first before posting this... A lot of those files (meshes and textures) are already from other mods (SMIM for example). But some are not in my Data tab at all like: highhrothgartowerfloor.nif or falmerbigfence01.nif; falmerbigfence02.nif; falmerfence01.nif; falmerfence02.nif; falmerfence03.nif. Thank you for your reply, I know the work you all did since those years (studying Skyrim modding and mods I should say ^^) and I did not really "checked" like I said. My bad forget my long post and enjoy your week.
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Why is Better Dynamic Snow not used in STEP? Is it because of HQ Snow Texture? I am asking because I woudl like to try it but I am not sure where to place it since SMIM makes use of it I believe. Also I know there is a No Snow Under the Roof patch for it, but that I would know what to do.
TechAngel85 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Install the SMIM version of BDS if you want to use it. Install it after SMIM. It's not in step anymore because it is a bit mismatched with the snow we use, but not completely bad. You can try it without causing issues.
DepartedCitizen-00002 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 Thank you, yes I have read somewhere here that it was looking "odd" (after you choosed HQ Snow like you said then.). I will try it but if it's too obvious that the snow on the ground and the snow on stairs for example is different then I wont use it (wich is certainly why you dropped it ^^).
MightyCrow Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 What would be the recommended textures to use for Just Ice SE Version?
