MonoAccipiter
Indeed. Thank you for verifying it at least, Grant.
EssArrBee
Alright, now that ADAM is all updated I can move onto YUP patches. Got one for PPA, Spice of Life, and CaliberX. Also working on a PN patch. The one of the Nexus is decent, but hasn't been updated for YUP v10.
Grumpyhouse
The guide says to get the Someguy patch for RWLE but the patch has New Vegas Bounties III as a master. New Vegas Bounties III is not in the guide. Is it safe to add to the build?
MonoAccipiter
It's safe to add, but you'll get the quest the moment you install it (before completing NVBI or NVBII), so I'd recommend you hold off on it (as well as the patch, I guess) until you've completed those two. Grumpyhouse
Thanks, & thank you for the guide.I'll eventually get to all the older Beth games & STEP will always be where I start. Not having been around when these mod communities developed puts a noob at a real disadvantage as far as figuring out just what we want to accomplish & STEP really steps in & helps! nexuspolaris
Hiiidy ho! Back from the wasteland, couldn tkeep my hands of the modding. I am doing the small missed out step in "Generate Bash Tags": making sure 1nivVSLArmors.esp has the "Deflev" tag. Mine did already after doing the Generate Bash Tag script, BUT it also has a tag not mentioned in the list: Delev. Should i keep that or remove it? I found an earlier post about this in this very thread, but i didnt understand what the conclusion was :)I removed the Delev tag from 1nivVSLArmors.esp My second question(s) is about the Bashed Patch. Is it supposed to disable some plugins (in Mod Organizer) and still be using them?Should i re-enable the plugins in Mod Organizer which was disabled after doing the Bashed Patch? Sorry. Read the other posts again. I keep the unticked esp's unticked in MO after Bashed Patch. If i am wrong about these two decisions, please tell me, if not just ignore me (for now) Edited February 16, 2016 by nexuspolaris
MonoAccipiter
Only re-enable the plugins that are tagged with nomerge after making the Bashed Patch, they will be disabled together with the mergeable plugins before creating the patch, but can be differentiated by having a dot (as opposed to a plus sign) in their checkboxes when unticked. EssArrBee
I swear Nexus Mod Manager has the dumbest installer ever. Why can't the mod managers just all follow the same set of rules if they are all based on the same code?
MonoAccipiter
What are the advantages of using NMM over MO in any case? I had to use NMM for Fallout 4 and I simply couldn't see a single area where I felt it was better than MO.
EssArrBee
I don't know. It works for more games than any other manager though which is it's one impressive feature. I haven't used it since right when Skyrim came out because Wyre Bash hadn't updated yet. So, it's been about 4 years since I've used it for a Beth game. MonoAccipiter
Not considering my time using it with Fallout 4, I think the last time I had touched NMM was back when it was still OBMM (which IIRC it is based on, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). GrantSP
Are you just testing the fomod to see if NMM is handling it correctly? If so I don't envy you, NMM is to put it bluntly, a pig of a thing! Useless for anything substantial in modding a game.
darkside
I use NMM for Witcher 3 and XCOM 2. MO for all Beth game, hopefully Full FO4 support will be up soon.
EssArrBee
I just realized that the bash tagging script isn't applying WeaponMods. That one is pretty ******* important. ::
GrantSP
I just realized that the bash tagging script isn't applying WeaponMods. That one is pretty ******* important. ::Can you elaborate? When I ran it I didn't get any tags applied to the ESM or the leveled list plugin but the other ones worked okay. (I take it you are talking about the Weapons of the New Millenia mods.)
