skwareballz Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Real Rain by PlayerTw0 A rain mod that looks a bit different than Natural Skyrim Rain. This has bit more of a blurry rain look than the small straight lines. I think it's going to be the rain mod used in RLwC v4.0, but who knows since those lighting mod guys change their minds faster than they change pants.
stoppingby4now Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I love Real Rain! Haven't tried 3.0 yet. I was using the textures only version along with More Rain by Zappoo (heavy and darker version). It significantly improved the realism of rain storms.
rpsgc Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Is there a concrete reason why this mod was never included in STEP? Or was it simply forgotten? You know, since 'Lightning During Thunder Storms' was included and all...
Neovalen Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Is there a concrete reason why this mod was never included in STEP? Or was it simply forgotten? You know, since 'Lightning During Thunder Storms' was included and all... Likely because CoT used to be included... think they skipped adding new weather mods this release. LDTS was already in STEP last release I believe.

justjr Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 I used this at some point, and failed to see the real difference between this and vanilla/cot rain.
z929669 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Who marked this mod for testing? Weather mods (and mods affecting weather) will likely be included in STEP Packs.
TechAngel85 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 No idea. I didn't so an admin must have...only ones with the ability to do so unless the original poster did... I don't know if users making threads have the option available to them.
rootsrat Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Definite candidate for packs, compatible with CoT. Just bumping, really.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 How does the optional water ripples file compare to the ripples included in RW2? Or does RW2 not touch those?
Smile44 Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 If you use prod80's CoT weather patch mod then you don't need this as it is already included. Of course you can still use this if you load it after the CoT weather patch's plugins etc.. It is why I removed it from the Weather and Lighting Pack. That said I really did like it as well, really made you want to get undercover and out of the rain.

Or just the Optional Ripple Effect file? I am using Prod's Serenity ENB, which doesn't require CoT. So I am not using CoT.
redirishlord Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 i believe Serenity has ENB Rain now (maybe always did?), so you might consider trying Serenity with & without Real Rain (maybe with a thin/for enb optional texture) to see what you like best (I'm currently trying that now).

And you are trying ENB rain with Real Rain? That's what you're saying? Let me know how that looks. I thought ENB rain would just overwrite Real Rain with its own textures.
redirishlord Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 I do not use CoT since switching to Serenity.I have been using Serenity with Real Rain, but recently noticed in Serenity's forum posts that it includes enb rain. I have now uninstalled Real Rain to verify what enb rain looks like so I can make an informed decision as to which rain I want.
