0 stoppingby4now Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 That is used for updating the userlist.txt file which allows you to override mod load order, or add ones that aren't in the masterlist. I've just edited the file by hand, but it should prove useful for those that don't want to learn the format.

I've just edited the file by hand, but it should prove useful for those that don't want to learn the format. Actually I've been using this for quite some time. Not only does it allow me to add these in without learning the language (or spending the time typing it) but it also will help me to format all the one's I have to report it straight to the Boss Forum so they can be added to Boss. Once it finds the rule in the masterlist, it asks if it can remove them from your userlist. Certainly not necessary but helpful none the less.

Generating a report and reminding you about possibly not needing a rule anymore...I think I'm going to have to download that bad boy. Thanks for the info.
0 frihyland Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 yep been using it since day 1, its great if your living on the bleeding edge testing out new mods, its a great typing saver.

0 stoppingby4now Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Great list, thanks for the info. I downloaded Boss Userlist Manager, and it is quite awesome. Will be using it gong forward.
0 dstansberry Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 I'm not sure I quite understand what this does that BOSS itself doesn't do. BOSS has a userlist manager with a drag and drop interface for sorting unknown mods before or after other mods - no typing or learning the language required. It stores the userlist separately from the masterlist, so I don't have to re-create my rules each time the masterlist is updated. It also tells me when a custom mod rule isn't needed any longer because the mod is now identified, and disables the rule automagically (I can still turn it back on if I want to). And yet, both STEP and Skyrim Revisited recommend it, so there must be something more to it. What am I missing out on? Or is it one of those, "Just try it! You'll never go back!" sort of things?
0 z929669 Posted March 21, 2013 Posted March 21, 2013 BUM edits the BOSS userlist for you. It is simpler to use and it integrates well with BOSS. There is also much more functionality. Try it out and you will see
0 BahamutZ Posted April 11, 2013 Posted April 11, 2013 Can someone help me with ClimatesofTamriel-Nights-Level-X.esp where X is a number. I am trying to manually set load order using user rules (according to this https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/articles/853/), but I can't locate this in the masterlist that loads in this program. All I see is "REGEX: ClimatesOfTamriel-(Vanilla)?Nights-(Lvl|Level)-[12345678]\.esp" which doesnt function. ? BOSS recognizes it, so it must be there somewhere yes? Edit: Alright nevermind it suddenly showed up in the masterlist an hour later. whatever SOLVED!

0 Crimson13 Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 I immediately get an error right at the start when I try this, it doesn't matter if I start it via MO or not it's the same problem. This is what the error says: --------------------------- BOSS Userlist Manager --------------------------- Fatal Error encountered trying to access your Mods Directory: Game: FalloutNV -> 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout New Vegas\Data\' Additional Information: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout New Vegas\Data\'. Do you want to force BUM to display your Settings when you re-run it? --------------------------- Yes No --------------------------- I'm trying to modify Skyrim not F:NV, but it's dead set on this error. Does anyone have an idea why?
0 Tagkaman Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I am experiencing a bit of a problem with this tool. I've made a couple of rules, but all of them are flagged as inactive because it says the required esps are not installed (they are). What am I doing wrong?
0 Vulgar1 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Are you using Mod Organizer, if so are you running BUM through Mod Organizer?

Did you re-run BOSS after making the rules? Are all the necessary plug-ins and archives ticked in the MO load order panel on the right? What rules are you making? Is there any other info you can give?
