I know we should test mods before posting them. But i thought i would post this anyways since this is the first mod i have seen that even touches this area and by the look of the screenshots its looks really good and pretty much vanilla looking just upped the res and detail.

It probably is vanilla, upscaled, resharpened plus filter, but so was SRO. If it's at least well-done, we might consider it for inclusion. We would need comparison shots though.

But as far as i know the publicly available SRO didn't have anything from Dragonborn in it. I'm about to give it a test myself like i said i was just posting it cuz it looks pretty good and there is nothing else out there the touches this area in the game.

I'm going to try this mod out tonight. I hate the ugly vanilla textures of Apocypha. Any recommendations for any of the optional versions he has?

this mod fits the STEP-core bill perfectly, IMO. No major alterations; basically enhanced vanilla textures. Downloaded, tested, endorsed

Probably the same as the riekling mod. Covers a neglected area of the game and makes enough of an improvement that I'd recommend it for STEP.

I haven't had a chance to test out the riekling mod, but I vote yes to this one. The optional files probably won't make it into STEP, but I like them as well: wooden walls make a little more sense to me than "book walls", even if it is Apocrypha. The other two are comparatively "STEP friendly".

 

I'd vote yes on the riekling mod going by screenshots and some direct texture comparisons (outside of the game), but I haven't looked at them in-game yet.
