DoYouEvenModBro Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 By the way RWT2 also has more options for texture (256' date='512, 1024) whereas WATER only has (512 & 1024). I think vanilla water is 256 so for performance users this is an nice added feature of RWT2Â :)[/quote']RWT2 actually has a 2048 too but I'm pretty sure it would tank my framerate in certain areas, especially outside Riften.Â
DoYouEvenModBro Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Got a strange glitch near Whiterun looking at the canal right by the blacksmith at the entrance. I'm pretty sure it's RW2 that's doing this. I think I remember reading this on the nexus page but I'm not sure: https://i.imgur.com/FQ6pLbB.jpg

It happens in another spot just outside WR too.

TechAngel85 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Marking this as accepted for 2.2.8. It will be replacing WATER.
Spock Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 Yay. new version! :) Experimental Parallax maps are now included in the download, some particle issues I had at night are gone plus some more changes to the water.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 How come those Parallax textures don't have _p at the end? Is it the ENB that does the Parallax effects and not the texture itself? I apologize if that is a dumb question :-X
Aiyen Posted November 25, 2013 Posted November 25, 2013 The texture path is set on the individual meshes.. the ending of texture names is just for helping out... they are not really needed.
phryxolydian Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 If I wish to install this over WATER but want to keep the blacksmith water fix which what do I need to do? Also, and I'm wondering if I should make a thread about that plus other questions I have, on the RWT2 he credits this mod for some particle meshes. I installed but it conflicts not just with WATER but with Dust Effects, Ultimate Fire Effects (which he mentions to install after his mod), ELFX, Project Parallax Remastered, SMIM and I'm sure a lot of other mods I don't have. What's the veredict or guide with this mod?
TechAngel85 Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 It should work to just install the blacksmith water fix optional from WATER and then install RWT2 as your main mod. I don't think they conflict but that would need to be tested so don't quote me on that. As far as particle patch, that is mainly for ENB and STEP has no standing with ENBs so there is no official "verdict" on those meshes fixes. They are good to use though. Particle Patch should most likely be installed at the top of your load order so most mods overwrite it. The conflicts from the other mods usually contain corrected meshes so doing this will allow you to keep only the mesh fixes that aren't covered by the other mods.
Aiyen Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 The water mods contain corrected meshes, so no need for the particle patch in that case. It does fix alot of other meshes that most mods do not touch. Also fire mods use the same settings to fix the meshes there as well. If a mod states that it has fixed the shader flags then you do not need this, otherwise you do... if you use ENB. Or you will get odd glowing in various locations.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Just to confirm, in order to use the Parallax textures/meshes for this mod, all I need to do is have the latest version(s) of ENB that supports Water Parallax and then just install the Experimental RW2 Parallax Textures over the main mod, right? I'm desperately waiting for Project ENB to be updated to the newest ENB version so that I can use Water Parallax. It looks incredible.
Spock Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 You can upgrade to a newer ENB version as long as color settings where not changed (easy to check: just take a screenshot and compare, make sure you keep the .ini files). The current ENB water settings behave weird on my system, some do not work at all (especially underwater). I would always install the particle patch if using ENB, just install it at the top of your load order. The old RWT didn't forward some fixes btw. making water look a little weird at night. Putting the particle patch for ENB into STEP extended wouldn't hurt imho. Many people use ENB and it doesn't break anything for those who don't.
rootsrat Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 I'm, not that bothered about this new fancy underwater stuff. I mean, how much time in game do you actually spend underwater? O_o
Aiyen Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 Parallax is also for the above water stuff that many care about. :P And Bro.... yes just let the textures overwrite.. go in and see if you like what you see! Just be prepared for a performance hit.
