Discussion thread:
Double Cursor Fix by virusek
Wiki Link

Fixes an issue that happens sometimes when you Alt-Tab away from the game, in which the Windows cursor doesn't get hidden. Recently made the hot files - and since I've ran into the issue a few times as well - good to see a fix.

The same author also made a SKSE plugin that replicates the effects of SBW (https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/36177 ) - that could be interesting as well.

Accepted for STEP v2.2.6

Using this mod in conjunction with that other mod that William linked here let me use Skyrim in a no-border window that was easier to use than SBW, and didn't have the same issue with remove the mouse in the overlay and the odd bug where the mouse cursor didn't reappear when you quit/alt tabbed out of Skyrim.

I've just tried both plugins today while doing some testing. Wow... they feel so much better than just Simple Borderless Window. I'd defintly support their addition.

The thing that I really like about it is that I can launch the game from Steam or Bash and get the borderless window, without having to manually run SBW.exe.

I've had these issues as well til I found a very easy solution. For me it always works like this

1. when alt tabbed click skyrim in task bar  -> skyrim sound plays but skyrim doesn't show

2. wait for mouse pointer to dissappear

3. alt tab to another window

3. alt tab back to skyrim

4. click left mouse button

5. I'm back in skyrim

This and its sister mod should really be added ASAP. Much better than SBW.

Could someone explain the benefits of these mods and of Skyrim Borderless Windows"?

I assume performance enhancement, but I have no XP with this, since I run all of my games in fullscreen.

Running in full-screen window (aka borderless window) removes stuttering for some people. It's also better for those who like to alt+tab in the middle of the game.

I also only play in fullscreen mode, so that mod isn't useful to me. However, when I alt tab out of Skyrim and then return it is tricky to avoid getting two pointers; the mod that fixes this is useful to me.

It's this one.

Indeed, I have had this problem as well... PITA.

I'll add this to the MT queue to formalize.

@rpsgc

Could you create a thread for the sister mod as well if it does not already exist?
