I've been using TK Children for a while now and I think it is a significant improvement.

This is just requirement due to Simple Children. We're only using the .TRI files.

Oops... you are quite right. I'm using Simple Children with the tri files from TK Children. If I remember correctly, I just followed the installation steps posted in the Simple Children topic and it is a significant improvement.

Shouldnt this be installed before Simple Children in the guide?

It shouldn't matter since the plugins are not used and all the meshes and textures are hidden.The TRI files used in TK Children do not conflict with any assets in Simple Children.

Ok. I moved it up anyway to get rid of the message in Loot.

Id the plugin is hidden, then LOOT won't message about it
