Aiyen Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Ah thank you for that SparrowPrince! Was wondering about that actually! :)
DoYouEvenModBro Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I'm actually not seeing the half dull half ice with parallax even with the new BCF file. I see Azur, Classic, Dark Azur, Dark Classic, DULL AND ICE, FULL DULL, then the custom options.
Xzender Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 @DoYouEvenModBro, It worked out for me. Don't forget that it's scripted so use the wizard install.
z929669 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I fixed the installation note to clarify.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I still don't see half dull-half ice with the BCF. No idea what is going on. I ran the wizard. Still nothing.
EssArrBee Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Half dull is with Parallax, full dull is without parallax, at least that is what I read when opening up the wizard. Not sure why you would need a fomod with a BCF?

EssArrBee Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Open up the .7z file created by the BCF and then open the wizard.txt and look if it is the Sept 5 version from Z. If so then the last option is half icecube - half dull.

EssArrBee Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Line 46 should start like this: "Half Icecube-Half Dull" If it doesn't than you aren't using the correct wizard.txt
DoYouEvenModBro Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Line 46 should start like this: "Half Icecube-Half Dull" If it doesn't than you aren't using the correct wizard.txtI basically just took the BCF that is posted on the guide, put it into bain converters, applied the BCF to the main file in Wrye Bash, ran the wizard, and then there was no Half Dull -- Half Ice option :-/. Did I do something wrong?
EssArrBee Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Choose parallax on, then "Half Icecube-Half Dull". If parallax is off then you won't find the option. Skyrim supports parallax for ice, this a CPU driven parallax, not a GPU driven effect that ENB allows.

I downloaded it a few days ago. Was it updated recently? I'm going to try to re-do it because I don't think I am running the correct wizard. EDIT: Actually I do think I had the right one? It's version 3.0 right? G_Real_Ice_BAIN-v3.0-5388-BCF I don't know why this doesn't work for me.
z929669 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 As I said above, I fixed the note and created a new BCF with wizard script. the BCF includes the fomod just for kicks so that any user can still run either installer. New note: STEP recommends "Dull and Ice" even without using ENB (this is a literal parallax effect without an ENB requirement). The BCF includes a wizard and Fomod to simplify installation --> BCF Available

Or am I missing something? I clicked on real ice in Wrye Bash, went to conversions, apply conversion and then ran the wizard for the created file in wrye bash, which does NOT have half dull -- half ice.Â
