Just wanted to say Thank you for this. Been using for awhile now and has not only saved me time but has made Skyrim and SE so much smoother.

For ref I use this setup: msi gaming x Rx 480 8gb-Afterburner oc 1400core  vsync off. Rivatuner to limit 58fps Rec tweaks and bethini ultra settings.

4k  tex when possible.

ENDORSED and File of the month vote on Nexus.

Respect!

The setting fLightLODStartFade has a strange behavoir on your tool.

The slider on your tool is not mirroring the values in the status bar.

And more important the settings are different on the ini.

I was trying to set fLightLODStartFade=16500 but can do this only manual and if I work on my ini with your tool, it will reset to a strange minor value.

Hope this helps.

/Tom

Posting this on here and in the Diverse Dragons Collection SE by opusGlass  forum due to not knowing the origin.

I am having a funny side effect with regards to Dragons.

Wondered if anyone has come across this :

I have this cone that emits from the sun and follows Dragons around. As soon as the Dragon died and soul absorbed the cone went.

This is intended behavior. Light Fade is controlled by multiple settings, as you will find listed in the tooltip. This expands the Fade Range that these values can be set too, while improving performance versus only the Start Fade settings.

No idea. Looks like an ENB fluke.

OK, and what are the related dependencies for fLightLODStartFade=16500? I saw three settings on the tooltip, so I expected to set them in relationship when you set fLightLODStartFade=16500?

Actually, there are only 2 for Skyrim SE. I need to remove fLightLODMaxStartFade from the tooltip for Skyrim SE. fLightLODRange goes in Skyrim.ini (or SkyrimCustom.ini) and fLightLODStartFade goes into SkyrimPrefs.ini. Add them together, you get the light fade distance.

So do I understand right, that it is the same as on legacy? The fLightLODMaxStartFade was just the setting how far this setting can be used on the UI? And the value on fLightLODRange is the value realy to set visible light fade? It needs to reference with fLightLODStartFade on the other ini?

Mostly. fLightLODStartFade is where the light will be rendered before it starts to fade, and fLightLODRange is how far away from the start fade distance that it fades. The same applies to grass fade.

I turned off ENB and its still there. So this cone shaft is some how being influenced by the flying object namely the dragon.

Strange. I will keep my eye out for dragons bearing this effect.

You should not change settings via the game Launcher after using BethINI. Also, if I added that extremely strange resolution, and every one like it, it would be easy for no one.

Ah, so this is why settings don't display properly in-game, it said 'none' for several settings, including Decal Quantity.

Great utility by the way. I initially set it on Ultra and dialled it down but it crashed, so I set it on High and dialled it up instead. It's running at a constant 60fps and looks very nice.

If it's not too much trouble, could you list the 'Recommended Tweaks'? I appreciate having things being done automatically, but it makes troubleshooting harder.

first of all, thanks for the tool, the tool helps me a lot but still I feel that some parameters are missing:

- 3rdPBoltTiltUpAngle

- bMouseAcceleration

- bForceIgnoreSmoothness (still work on SSE)

- iWaterReflectHeight/iWaterReflectWidth

the above are parameters that I think they are important and should be added to the tool

If I install BethINI and then later down the road install some other mods do I have to run BethINI again to make any adjustments?

The only way a mod will affect your INI files is if you're using Mod Organizer and it includes INI files with the mod. So no, there is no reason to rerun the program after installing mods.

I am going to try SkyrimSE modded through NMM so do I even need BethINI? I'm sorry I am quite confused. Is this useful for all modders or just Mod Organizer users?
