Diana_TES_GotH Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 Did you remove the step to install the meshes and textures for DLCShiveringisles faces?Yes, we will not be optimizing those. The basic reason for extracting the meshes and textures is for us to optimize them at the end of the guide. Personally, I extract all my BSAs anyway, but it's not necessary. I just prefer all loose files. It will be up to the user if they would like to do that as well. I'll try to only recommend BSA extraction for the files we want to optimize.
Schvanys_Epitome Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 (edited) And added this?See BOSS Bash Tag suggestion(s)::Knights - Unofficial Patch.esp ADD: RelevFor Dlc Shivering Isles? And this for Summon Dremora Lord? BOSS Bash Tag suggestion(s)::Summon Dremora Lord Saved.esp ADD: Actors.Spells Edited December 8, 2017 by Schvanys_Epitome
Diana_TES_GotH Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 (edited) Let me run BOSS to check that. I don't remember it being recommended for DLC Shivering Isles. It's not mentioned for DLC Shivering Isles. When you run BOSS, it is always a good idea to check the Bash Tag Suggestions. I may miss a few. I'll try to list them in the guide, but sometimes I may slip up. Edited December 8, 2017 by Diana_TES_GotH
Schvanys_Epitome Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Not for the official DLC Shivering Isles sorry, but for the Unofficial DLC Shivering Isles.
Diana_TES_GotH Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 Not for the official DLC Shivering Isles sorry, but for the Unofficial DLC Shivering Isles. All the Bash Tags that are recommended for Unofficial DLC Shivering Isles are already tagged by the plugin, so you shouldn't have to do anything further.

Schvanys_Epitome Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Ahhhh I'm always learning something new lol. Nice catch
Diana_TES_GotH Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 I did the same thing when I first started modding several years ago, and it continues to be a learning experience. It's frustratingly fun.
Schvanys_Epitome Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 2.Which User Interface (UI) are you using? DarkUId DarN". Is this still true for Oblivion XP Update?
Diana_TES_GotH Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 Jiubs head https://imgur.com/aZkaR6SIt looks much better after I added the Character Overhaul. I would have taken a screenshot, but my laptop is struggling to keep up with the guide through the Overhauls section.OA_Dark Transparent UI. It is the best, imo. The fonts are much easier to read and the HUD is greatly improved. It is all in the UI section now. Including Oblivion XP which does need to be installed before OA_Dark Transparent UI.
Diana_TES_GotH Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 I'm going to call it a night. I'll pick the guide back up from my desktop tomorrow. I was able to install mods successfully with Wrye Bash on my laptop through the Overhauls section. Everything looks great, but as I mentioned in my previous post my laptop is beginning to struggle: Motherboard: DELL N3JV3 DDR3 SDRAMOS: Windows 10 HomeProcessor: Intel® Core i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz, 2001 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)RAM: 16.0 GBVideo Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750MHard Disks: Standard Disk DriveCase or Enclosure: Laptop I will not push modding on the laptop any further. I have Mod Organizer set as my mod manager on the desktop. I'll try to keep the instructions consistent, but I may need you all to help me out by keeping your eyes open for any errors I make in my edits.
Schvanys_Epitome Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 Glad to hear the overhaul section is almost done. Now I must take a break from OpenMW and normal mapping and come back and do this. Reinstalling the UI now lol. That is pretty good performance with Oblivion. I have:Intel Core i7-6700hq cpu @2.6ghz (3.4ghz with turbo)Windows 10 Insider 1704016 GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce GTX 980MLaptopOn the boat when looking towards seyda neen my fps drops to 30, and that is without all mods from UI and beyond.
