ZOMG spelling mistake in Realistic Roads :)

hehe

No, very well done, It's beyond what I've been doing as I only apply fixed retroactivly (i.e. If I see a fault I then fix it)

This fellows texture overhaul may point to other issues as well as you seem to scan forums.

I'm changing the lighting and weather again to a more medium load (vivid+darker nights) rather than relying on ENB and add a expected FPS at the TOP of the MOD List (to give people an idea of speed)

Playing this game on Medium Powered Graphic cards (960/970 should be 30-40 fps min) if not something is wrong (ini or enb setup)

OR just too much grass

A note on ENB+FX mods... you NEED to have a color corrected screen to get the most out of them. I have included mods that will make the game look "cleaner" without the use of those type of mods if you want to use an FX based enb thingy remember you will most likely not be able to use shadow boost and if your relying on that then you will have to lower you shadow distance in the INI.

Vivid - pretty

Vivid+ Darker nights - Pretty+atmospheric night game play (you are in the dark!!!)

truestorms- awsome sound (if your sound card is compatabile)

I'll put back the TrueStorms+ Vivid+ Darker nights setup (if you don't like the dark dont install night mods (will add more info)

Will add a Speed/Performance indicator to mods/fomods so the Texture band wangon Poindexters can all get on that bus and leave me alone. :innocent: (PLEASE Note this will take upwards of 15hrs to do zzzzzzz I assumed people would make the hmm I see 4k I see 1k I'll CHOOSE the 1k)

@Gernash. Don't know what you are talking about. Why would you deny a mod and his lovely mod organizer a date. :P

I hate to pull you away from all that, but there are some mods with fomods that haven't been picked out. I'm not a mind reason so I don't know what you prefer for the list. Hence thought it best to leave that one to you (Or I can, just know I prefer vanilla so will lean towards that).

Here's the List:

Park benches

Flacon Oil

Better Settlement Camps

Improved Wood Textures

Alt Desk Fan

Once those are sorted, I can go through and see what's being overwritten and by whom. Speaking of textures, I'm working on a way to convert some of these older mods into ba2 formats (Quick Question: all I need to do is package the ba2 with the esp and it's good to go, yes?).

Lastly, just making sure you are aware that I did go ahead and remove Clean Waters of the Commonwealth. If you didn't see, check the update section and I have a link to the related info.

@Gernash OH! Which reminds me, I wanted to know if ENB had ambient occlussion turned on by default. Because if it does, I was going to tweak the Bethini section to make a not to disable that from the ini.

"I'm working on a way to convert some of these older mods into ba2 formats" (I have a friend looking into making/writing an Automated tool for that.)

Missing FOMODS (I'll get onto that)

Overwrites....Hmmmm I'll check my order but I think it's the same as the install list I just assumed people would load the same way....I have not gone through all the textures (most of them I have) I personally set up an overwrite structure then compress all the mods (I use a loose version for speed testing and Wiki fault diagnosis

ENB ambient occlusion seems to be fine (I've not been too concerned as a vid update will make it all mute soon)

Are you aware of this? I packaged all of the After the Fallout downloads into one ba2 and then went to the CK and created an esp, both with the proper naming conventions. Assuming that the bottom part is correct and you merely need to drop the two of them into the Data folder and it's good to go. Problem is, I don't know how to test that sort of thing. When I load it into LOOT or xEdit, it shows up as an empty plugin. But so does FAR for the record. You know a way I could test this to see if it works? Normally I'd think to fire up the game and look but, how do I know if a texture is vanilla or from the mod? Said file will take about an hour for me to upload to dropbox btw, even with it being compressed but I'll send you the link through mail.

There is one thing; with FAR and other mods that do this, they have with them a "meta.ini". Do you know how that is generated?

Oh, and the ambient occlusion I was referring to Bethini. If you recall, they updated it and ambient occlusion is now an option to disable on there. You had said you wanted it to be disabled from there, and then rely on ENB. That's why I was asking about if it's on by default, or if need be I'd update the ENB with the proper instructions.

Edit: Well flipper skipper! I was double checking in the instructions and realized it wasn't in dds format so I attempted to switch and turns out everyone of them was flagged with an error of "not supported for this archive type"

Archive2 is outside of the scope of the wiki as it requires knowledge of your file system etc and just making an mklink is hard enough for the most part, I'm not willing to do anything like that until a "1 press" tool is available.

meta.ini is generated by MO as a reference index for categories and nexus page info.

Leave bethini alone for now I have given the reason already.

I do not understand your that reference under "Edit" is about

https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Gernash/MODWiki#Vivid_Fallouts_-_Landscapes

IS an example of the "NEW" Layout for Landscape and textures.

I've moved Kesta's Flares so I can Add and change them (Color and Text)

MAIN File will be 2k in a performance flavor (2k _d.dds 1k _n.dds and _s.dds, I'll now forever refer to this as _dns_ from now on)

LQ is 1k _dns_

MQ is 2k _dns_

HQ is 4k _dns_

If a file has (1k 512 512) or (2k 1k 1k) or (4k 2k 2k) then it's going to be classed performance _dns_ i.e. less vram usage or "optimized" (to anyone who knows stuff- Yea I know but it's how the internet peoples perceive it shhh)

OK awake.  I'd followed the ini tweaks one thing I hadn't done was customise my ENB local will try that now. I've also downloaded the 2k mods and have both installed so I can switch between 4k and 2k for landscapes and trees (as I say internal is fine).

One thing it might be are you two on Windows 7 or Windows 10?  I know there's a known bug with windows 10w hich hard caps the amount of memory you can give hwen you use boris' VRAM tool so might be that causing me issues?  I run a heavily modded Skyrim (SRLE+LOTD if you know what that means ) and usually come out around 30.

what res monitor? you said 4K have you tried running at lower rez then using the monitors upscaling as your 970 is a bit tiny for 4k gameplay

Ok much better.  Upped my VRAM to 44006 (result from DX11 VRAM tester) and getting 35-45 FPS where I only got 20 yesterday.  also slightly tweaked the shadowboost ini to have a target FPS of 35 as was set to 28.  Thats still below the 61 fps ENB locks it too so should be safe.

For record I'm running at 1920x1080.  No idea about the upscaling but for now I'll stick with and report to see if FPS stays steady.  It's fine indoors just outdoors where there's more LOD but you expect that. So long as it can cope with the towns with a lot of people around I'll be happy.

going to get at least to first town (can't remember name now been a while since I played!) before I start adding my own mods just so I can give you valid feedback on setup as is.

One thing I have noticed is a bit of flickering on puddles (both blood and water) where the sheen seems to be going and coming?

yea NO.

44006 will use HDD so it will shudder

mem size= vram on card + main memory- 6gigish (I dont know what you run in background)

1920x1080 so not 4k gaming. I use 1920x1200 and get 30 at absolute worst so you should get about 15-20fps more than me

Like I said I just followed what the guide told me. I'm not as hot on what is and isn't 4K etc.  I just went with the guide that tells to runt he tool and change it to that.

guide I'm referring to for VRAM size  https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:ENBlocal_INI/Memory

So far seems to be working for me.  I'm also running it on an SSD which will help.

And I'm not sure anyone who has used the term LOD is using it correctly or maybe they are trying to explaine something and using the "WORD" LOD

(Not crawling up your A__ just confused)

HMM I'll update the ENBBoost Info as that is from the original KASTA's Guide (Thanks Kasta you gave me soooo much work Wiki is bad to time wastage Mkay)

Yes with an ssd will run better but watch the vid do some maths and be happy ;)

OH 4K gaming 3,840 x 2,160 monitor resolution is why I was scratching my head
