  5. It's safe to use the original, but I altered the mod page to point to this updated version. I don't think this mod is a master for the Step CR Patch, but if you get a LOOT error saying otherwise later on, post back here and use the nexus version instead.
  6. Not sure about disabling in the plugin, but you can regenerate without grass using these instructions. You can also update the QW grass plugin object bounds as described in {DynDOLOD}/docs/help/TexGenConfiguration.html ... but you will still need to regenerate object LOD using DynDOLOD.
  7. The mod has been hidden on Nexus. I reached out to winterlove, and he has made the mod available on AFK Mods, but it's the SSE version. In the meantime, the current Step CR Patch version requires the COP plugin. We are working to resolve.
  8. The mod has been hidden on Nexus. I reached out to winterlove, and he has made the mod available on AFK Mods. Caveat is that you need to register on their forums to obtain it. I have offered to host as wel, so we'll se. In the meantime, here's the link: https://www.afkmods.com/index.php?/files/file/2301-consistent-older-people/

Hopefully the SLE version will be up there as well at some point.
  11. Thanks Tech! Do we still have it in the guide? Probably should note that it is unavailable, but those that have it should use patch v1.02 while those that do not should use 1.03. I suspect the file will be unhidden at some point.
  12. Can you provide that launch arg? Thanks for posting these instructions. Anyone reading this and running the LE guide, please reply if you care to edit the Step CR Patch for us so that new users can run the LE guide without COP.
  13. OK, so the answer is that one of the current guide users will need to load the CR patch in xEdit and remove the requirement (and then share the modified patch back with us).
  14. Well, you created the patch, and it applies to the old guide, so I'd argue that you need to remove the dependency. Otherwise, if Darklocq doesn't get to it, the LE guide must be retired, as I don't run LE any longer either.
  15. @TechAngel85 Has maintained the CR Patch for the current LE guide, so I will defer to him to resolve the requirement. I recommend continuing the install as normal, and we should have things resolved by the time you have everything installed. Looks like the author is unhappy with Nexus' new policy of never deleting files but rather archiving them instead ... which makes no sense at all if authors can hide their mod pages, effectively 'deleting' all of the files at least until the mod page is unhidden.

  17. See first post on this topic (also second post). It sounds like you have the SkyrimLE-compatible Resources rather than the SkyrimSE-compatible Resources. It's easy to grab the wrong one (as I did just the other day).
  18. Thanks for confirming. The '-o' is the "output" switch. As our instructions say:
  19. Good question. I haven't seen that myself with many config variations (apps, drivers, and OS). But I wasn't looking for it either. You have a wide screen format, yes? I think it's likely related to your display and SSE Display Tweaks configs. I would play around with the full/windowed mode settings. I think there are modifiers to those as well. There is also a frame buffer setting (or something like that) that I think may be worth changing. There are only 4 values I think.
  20. Yes, this is required as the settings I linked previously will instruct. Only if you want to generate grass LOD though. As I mentioned, I think it is useful to get NGIO how you like first, as if DynDOLOD will not be used. Then you only need to change a setting in NGIO and in DynDOLOD configs to generate and add LOD. Now you have a LOD/no-LOD compare.
  21. Give these settings a try: https://stepmodifications.org/wiki/SkyrimSE:2.0.0#Grass_LOD_Configuration ... I also suggest turning OFF grass LODGen to delineate between LOD issues and NGIO issues. I am guessing that your grass distances in NGIO are probably very low. We have found that higher distance settings work nicely. Links to the DynDOLOD and NGIO settings are in the instructions I linked above. Also, don't test any of this with ENB enabled, which adds yet another degree of freedom. Baby steps. Too many variables can make finding the optimal config intimidating. Once you have things as you like with NGIO, then you can mess with grass LODGen. Then you can mess with your ENB config. Many mods have mistakes. Few are perfect, so yes, many (most?) grass mods are not completely compatible with LOD requirements. The same can be said for many tree mods.
  22. Cathedral Landscapes grasses probably have object bounds and flags set properly while many of the others don't. The documentation goes into this a bit ... my guess is that the grass mod plugins need some tweaks.
  23. Added background, padding, and border to make these more obvious from non-spoiler text. See a recent Step guide for examples.
  24. @sheson This person did upload all logs as instructed. The missing ones are linked from this post. I had added the smaller logs myself on his/her behalf ... so my oversight.
