All the subforums / topics for these are at the link that Tech posted. Here are the links to the actual Wikis: Oblivion: Mythic Dawn by Hishutup and Soire (Red), updated in 2015 by Synthetik Skyrim: Skyrim Total Enhancement Project (STEP) v2.2.9.2 by STEP TeamSTEP Packs - various packs by various authors - it is assumed STEP is installed Dreadflopp's Modular Patches by dreadflopp - Assumes either STEP or SR:LE is installed Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition (SR:LE) by NeovalenSR:LE Extended by Darth_mathias and DarkladyLexy - it is assumed SR:LE is installed Fallout 3: Clear & Present Danger by Kelmych Fallout New Vegas: Fear and Loathing In New Vegas by EssArrBee and maintained by MonoAccipiter Witcher 3: W3R: The Wild Hunt Revisited by Neovalen (forum topic not in Packs, but in Gaming. Link here. Note that this isn't comprehensive! I'm sure I am missing more guides hosted on STEP. For example, I just remembered Kesta has a WIP guide for FO4, and I think rootsrat also has a guide for Witcher 3. There are probably more guides that I can't remember or am simply unaware of. Google is your friend! ;-)

Help required - xEdit showing errors in many core mods
Nebulous112 replied to dunc001's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Astakos knows more about this than I do, but I just wanted to add a suggestion that you can try to re-download the mod(s) that are causing errors if all else fails. It is possible that the mod(s) got corrupted during download, if you were downloading with MO and an antivirus scan was running. Or if you were downloading more than one file at a time. Or just because the Nexus can act like crap on occasion. USLEEP for example should not have any errors (and does not when I just checked in xEdit).- 31 replies

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD 2.00 to 2.15
Nebulous112 replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Congrats on the release, Sheson! Just a heads-up, you may want to update the Nexus posts page FAQ. I noticed it still references xEdit quite a bit. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this. I'm quite excited to check out v2.10. :-) -
wrinklyninja has updated LOOT to v0.9.1. Link. Changes: Removed support for Windows Vista.Added support for Fallout 4's Contraptions Workshop DLC, and the upcoming Vault-Tec Workshop and Nuka-World DLC. Support for the latter two is based on their probable but unconfirmed plugin names, which may be subject to change.Fixed user dirty metadata being read-only in the metadata editor.Fixed LOOT incorrectly reading a tag with no name from plugin descriptions containing {{BASH:}}.The content refresh menu item is now disabled during sorting. The conflicts filter toggle buttons have been removed from the plugin card menus, and the filter re-implemented as a dropdown menu of plugin names in the Filters sidebar tab.Enabling the conflicts filter now scrolls to the target plugin, which is no longer highlighted with a blue border. The layout of the Filters sidebar tab has been improved. The CEF (3.2704.1427.g95055fe), and libloadorder (9.4.0) dependencies have been updated to the versions given in brackets. Some code has been refactored to improve its quality.

Skyrim Revisited: Legendary Edition News
Nebulous112 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I would agree with Razor. Also, a small possibility is that you are affected by a metadata bug in LOOT. I think the brand new LOOT 0.9.1 fixed a bug with metadata, but I can't recall exactly what the fixed bug was. -
Hmm, it is much more noticeable on the table maps in the compares (probably due to lighting). I'll have to check out both in game again.
-
Yeah, that is what I mean.
-
+1 The main thing I don't like about HQ Paper is the table maps being slightly cut off. This is pretty noticeable in the bottom right corner of the table map compares. For the wall, I agree that HQ Paper looks nicer. It also makes sense that a wall map would be in much better condition than a table map that is being handled all the time.

LOOT has been updated to v0.9.1. Link. -
Step 1 of what Paul said. And no, you don't need to leave them in afterword. Alternatively, instead of making your own CR you can follow all the steps Paul mentioned to achieve the same result with the premade CR for mods in the SR:LE guide...but I prefer making my own. Learning xEdit is essential to resolve conflicts with any mods that are not in the guide. And following along with Neo's CR is one of the best ways to learn xEdit conflict resolution.

Free (or Cheap) Games & Giveaways
Nebulous112 replied to EssArrBee's topic in General Game Discussion
Steam is giving away Limbo for free until 10am Pacific time on June 22nd. So free until tomorrow morning. Steam news article. Steam Store page for Limbo. I originally played this on console 5 years ago. Great little Indie platformer puzzle game. I actually bought it on Steam full price a few months ago, unfortunately. Anyway, get it for free while you can! Credit to sialivi @ AFKMods forum for the heads up. Original post. -
SRLE Extended Mod Suggestions
Nebulous112 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Druid's Den Collector's Edition has been updated. Pretty amazing nature-themed house mod, with a quest to unlock it. Every type of crafting station you can think of, room to display pretty much every unique item, huge library, lots of mannequins...I could go on and on. My favorite player house, for sure. Absolutely gorgeous. The quest to get it that required you to have magic skills has been reworked so that there is a different path available to get the house if you are not a magic user. All of the (few) reported bugs were fixed in the most recent update, as well. Edit: DynDOLOD compatible thanks to Sheson. Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions compatible. Oh, it even has a Real Shelter patch if you use that mod. Edit 2: I forgot to mention the Vampire/Werewolf aware lair with a werewolf prey baiting feature... Edit 3: One last thing I forgot to mention is that the author strongly recommends not to unpack the BSA. So if you want to try it out, turn BSA extraction off in MO before you install. -
How exactly do we use Crash Fixes?
Nebulous112 replied to uncleseano's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Yeah, I was going to mention Immersive Creatures. May want to do some more testing with that, and let the author know as well. I think Jackstarr is planning an update soon, so it would be good timing. -

Skyrim Suddenly Crashes When Saving Game Everytime
Nebulous112 replied to Sarcasm's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I honestly don't know. I imagine that animations could contribute to instability if there was any sort of conflict. FNIS is supposed to handle that, but again, I really don't know enough about it to offer any specialized advice. -
There is a thread about it in the Wiki issues subforum. See here.
-
Fair enough. Thanks for looking into it, guys.

Immersive Patrols + STEP + Perma
Nebulous112 replied to bagman's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Legendary Edition is just Bethesda's marketing for including all 3 DLCs. Whether you bought everything as one package or separately doesn't matter to a mod like USLEEP. -
I was editing my forum profile, and I noticed that you can only display your age if you also display your birthday. Obviously, for the forum to calculate your age you would have to input your birthday. But is there a way to display your age, yet hide your birthday from the public?

The metadata rules are based on the exact plugin name. The way I understand it, LOOT scans the plugins and has an algorithm to determine general load order. It also has a masterlist file, and the masterlist rules win over the general algorithm. So if the algorithm thinks plugin xyz.esp should go before plugin abc.esp, but the masterlist has a rule stating xyz.esp load after abc.esp, the end result should follow the masterlist rule. Editing metadata in LOOT basically adds to the local copy of the masterlist. If you want the masterlist rules to apply to all users of your mod (or to save them headaches adding the metadata themselves), you should submit a pull request with the masterlist changes on the LOOT Skyrim masterlist GitHub page. LOOT is community driven, so the only way the masterlist gets updated is by LOOT users / mod authors. If for some reason LOOT isn't following the metadata rules you list (locally or from the masterlist), submit an issue on GitHub or post in this Bethsoft forum thread. I'm sure Wrinkly would want to know if there is a bug! Also, regarding merges...again, the metadata rules all work based on the exact .esp filename. So if the new merge is renamed to be the same as the original plugin, it will have the same metadata rules. Without the same name, it reverts back to just being sorted with the general algorithm. Again, you can make local metadata rules or probably even submit a pull request for the masterlist with a name for the merged plugin, and then state on the Nexus page that everyone should use that plugin name when they make the merge. Anyway, I hope this helps! :-)

Skyrim Suddenly Crashes When Saving Game Everytime
Nebulous112 replied to Sarcasm's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I haven't used it, but from the language you posted I would say it is likely that Moon and Star cannot be used with the Restringer. Check the Requiem compatability patch you mention and see if it lists Moon and Star as a master. A quick way to check if you are using MO is to install it, and hover over the plugin in the right pane. It will list the masters. If Moon and Star is one of the masters, then from that language I don't believe it can be used with this Restringer. -
Also, FYI try the wrapper first. Only use the injector if you need to. I am on Optimus, but the wrapper works fine for me.

Skyrim Mod Combiner with SR:LE + Questions
Nebulous112 replied to reddvilzz's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I suggest DDSOpt. It is widely regarded as the best texture optimizer for our purposes (optimizing Bethesda textures). And DDSOpt only touches the textures as well. The problem is when you try to optimize textures that are already optimized, you can make them much worse. Some mods have textures that just shouldn't be optimized, period. I am by no means an expert on the subject...for that you want to talk to Kelmych. See this subforum for more details on DDSOpt. -
Skyrim Mod Combiner with SR:LE + Questions
Nebulous112 replied to reddvilzz's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
No problem. And just to clarify...when I say use 1k wherever you can, I do not mean DDSOpt everything. Not everything can be optimized successfully, and many of the textures in the guide are already optimized by their authors. I meant download versions that are 1k instead of the 2k Neo might recommend. Etc. Happy modding! :-) -
Bad idea to have MO or the executables run as administrator. It can cause weird problems. If you have Skyrim and MO outside of program files, that is good enough. As for the rest...that is odd. I have heard of people not having the installer allow them to install the patch quite a few times, but it always came down to them missing a mod. Since you don't seem to have, I am kinda stumped. Maybe Tech has another idea. For giggles, try to install it with everything NOT set to run as administrator.
