  1. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer#Troubleshooting I'll just leave this here for you...
  2. Seems ok now, BUT I did notice that if I clicked hide on one of the ToCs then refreshed another tab, the ToC in the 2nd (and 3rd) tab would be closed after the refresh. Have you tried a hard refresh, clear cookies and cache etc?
  3. That autosave mod looks great! I'm definitely going to try that out. Seems there are some small issues with timers etc not working as expected, and it doesn't look like there's much hope of it ever updating, but in all it definitely seems like it's worth a shot. EDIT: Make sure to read the comments so you know which options are most likely to cause you issues. Also it sounds like uninstalling will require you to revert to your backup save, or risk having scripts left behind. As for adding it mid save, I wouldn't do that with any mod, unless you're happy to possibly lost that character if there's an issue. Maybe make a brand new save first, and move it somewhere as a backup just in case. I add mods mid game all the time, but mid game for me seems to be between Riverwood and Whiterun haha. Modding and playing Skyrim are mutually exclusive, you can only do one, not both!
  4. Seems like Nvidia/Intel are easier to control than AMD. With the AMD dual graphics the only option in the control panel is to force it to use the APU or APU+GPU. I'll need to take a look in the bios. Failing that I'll dig through the ENB documentation for some help. Sorry for slightly derailing the thread, thanks for the advice.
  5. You said you installed all of STEP Extended, but that page (Brawl Bugs) says: Not necessary for Extended users that are installing Enhanced Blood Textures. So you shouldn't need it. Also the bottom of that page also say "Tick Brawl Bugs CE.bsa" so there's a minimum of 2 steps incorrectly followed on 1 page. I wouldn't be surprised if you've misread something else, somewhere else, as well. Aiyen is much better qualified than me to assist, but if I were in your position I would be reading through the entire guide again, from the top, and making sure I haven't missed something else. What did you do when you got to Enhanced Distant Terrain and Stalhrim of Skyrim? As those 2 mods do not exist anymore, and the replacement mod is not listed in the guide, nor are the workaround instructions easy to find. These mods would have nothing to do with the issues you're having, I'm just surprised that you don't seem to have asked about the missing mods at all.
  6. MO load order warning can be ignored. That probably needs to be noted in the STEP guide somewhere, as it does say somewhere to generally trust MO on that, I'm pretty sure. SKSE Elys Altf4 files can be dragged from the overwrite folder into the altf4 mod in the left panel, they won't reappear in overwrite once you've done that. The BSAs need to be ticked. That is most likely your problem. If neither the plugin nor the BSA is ticked, the textures are not being loaded at all. They don't need to be checked in the plugins tab, but in the archives tab. EDIT: Except I unticked the HRDLC BSAs and my game looked normal. Do you have the "Have MO manage archives" box checked? Not sure about Brawl Bugs (I think another mod includes that fix? It's not in my archives tab.) The esps that get merged by Bash are fine as well. Those are some awesome screens btw. Skyrim on acid haha
  7. I just tweaked the AI limits and ran the script test. Had 100 archers vs Alduin in the Whiterun tundra, with ugrids 11, had major drop in FPS, but cocing to Whiterun and running back seemed to help a lot with the FPS drop. Spawned 500 archers and ctd, which I guess would be expected haha. I think what he meant by a strech is, drastic changes to a modlist is a great time to start a new game.
  8. Mine appear normal as well, both on my PC and my phone. Except on the SR:LE and Fear and Loathing guide pages. There the ToC is collapsed by default. May have something to do with someone (DoubleYou maybe?) trying to fix the issue where the hide/show option doesn't appear for Fomod instructions on mod pages? I know that came up in conversation about 2 days ago on the 2.2.9.1 dev thread. The Fomod instructions still aren't collapsing either on the mod pages OR in my Sandbox. May be unrelated, or maybe I've missed something in the Fomod template.
  9. They seem to generally suck. I bought my wife an Acer Aspire which looked good on paper, 2 gig dedicated graphics, but it struggles to hold 15 fps in Vanilla Skyrim. I really should have done more research before buying it. If only I could talk her into using a desktop...
  10. I've been meaning to ask about that. I noticed SR:LE has all the expand/collapse options, as well as the actual Fomod template page, but it never appears when I use the template.
  11. Currently the Fomod instructions for this mod look like this: If we update to the new Fomod template, it will either look like this: Or like this if I split it halfway: Bear in mind this will be worse for anyone using a resolution lower than 1080 (where the words bleed over). I think Z was right, sometimes the old one is just simpler (when there is only one option to select on each page).
  12. The guide explains that it's to make sure you can raise or lower them to increase performance or quality later. I actually noticed this in an offsite ini guide last night. Not sure if it should go in the ini guide or at the end where it mentions forcing FOV, but it would be a lot easier than forcing it through the console every time you start a new game. Thanks for reminding me of that.
  13. From the main guide where it links to the launcher guide: So if you already know your system will be able to handle the sliders being set to full, there's no reason to set the to half.
  14. I'll get on that tonight.
  15. Would lowering actor distances help prevent this issue while allowing more ugrids? The difference between ugrids 11 and 7 is far off in the distance, but if ugrids 7 is what's causing the problem with the Whiterun giant, I'd like to fix it if that's at all possible.
  16. Even with ugrids 7 I can never get to the giant outside Whiterun before the companions kill it. Every time I get there, they are striking the final blow.
  17. Perfect, thanks. I don't really notice it with anything else, but having all the grass just appear 100 metres ahead really grabs my attention. I'll try crank it right up to about 50000 and see what happens.
  18. Have you inatalled an ENB?
  19. It's ok, I really don't mind, it was an interesting experience/test. I still can't work out why your grass is showing so much further away than mine. Have increased any of the values above the max?
  20. Unreal 4 is now free, you just pay 5% royalty on any gross income from each product above $3000 per quarter.Pretty sweet deal.
  21. No. Decide if you're going Core or Extended, and install them all in order, following the instructions carefully. You can install Core then go back and install Extended, but no point doing something twice when you can do it right the first time.
  22. Haha don't worry, I completely understand. I've just updated to most of 2.2.9.1, and I really want to test a few of the other mods that might get included, but at the moment I just want to stop messing around with mods. In the last week I've had enough bash patching and cocing to last me a month! EDIT: I lied, I can't stop! Comparison of new Silver ingot from Ruffled Feather. Shown next to an iron ingot because apparently they shared a texture. Vanilla - Current STEP - Ruffled Feather Can't say I'm a fan really, but it's not bad for the work of a 9 year old. Much better than any mod I've ever made, but a large departure from Vanilla. Slightly off-topic: Now that I've done the compare with iron, that seems to be VERY different from Vanilla as well, but does seem a lot more like real life.
  23. The Book Covers Skyrim - Compatibility Patch Collection has patches for the following 2 STEP Extended mods. TCIY - The Choice Is Yours improves dialogue and quest start options in the game and affects one Note to do with a quest in Markarth. The Compatibility Patch is tiny but necessary for the quests to flow as intended. Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade is, as its name suggests, an overhaul of the Skyrim crafting system. It affects two books - the Light and Heavy Armor Forging and the Bonemold Formula Note. It already has a wiki page on which the forum link points to a Requiem Compatibility Patches thread, as they have been using Book Covers for some time. Since the patch collection is a separate mod, does it need it's own mod thread? Would it be possible to add those patches to the STEP Extended patch? Or would it be easier to just have the patches load right after Book Covers, for those that install something between Core and Extended.
  24. BSW detailed instructions state: but that would only be for Extended, or anyone using DSR, right? I read this entire thread and found no mention of it, so I'm assuming it causes no issues to install with the DSR option ticked, even without having DSR installed, as that's what Core users would be doing. I know it's a minor thing, but I think Ultra clarity is definitely a good feature of a great guide.
