  1. Yes, the LOOT Rules have now been added to the Masterlist, so don't need to be added by the user. The MO warning can and probably should be disabled, as it is in the SR:LE guide. Hopefully the staff will add this instruction to the MO install guide soon.
  2. If it's not going to be pushed out soon, The Ruffled Feather should probably be added to 2.2.9, and associated changes made.
  3. I figured as much. Isn't that kind of thing important? Or is that something that would be covered by patching?
  4. Pretty sure you just can't have that many plugins. Not sure if that's what's causing your issue, but there is apparently a limit to how many plugins you can have active at once, and you're just above it.
  5. There is a modified edition of HearthFire Display Case Fix by Krucify that includes changes from the Unofficial Hearthfire Patch. I don't know how to test whether the modified one is better, or if we need that instead.
  6. After I remove all the LOOT rules, I'll post up the last USKP recommended fix. It's possibly going to require actual discussion, unlike the others, as it's slightly subjective. If you're looking to get 2.2.9.1 out the door ASAP, it might need to be left for the next update. Also I'm going to mention the MO warning about the left pane order again, as every second question at the moment seems to be related to that. Can we just add a note to the MO install guide to turn it off like they have done in SR:LE?
  7. I'll make sure to remove all those LOOT rules tonight, as they are no longer needed and are clearly causing confusion.
  8. You don't need to install No NPC Greetings or No Spinning Death Animations, they are included in the patches.
  9. If you install the Combined PluginHF, you will get No Spinning Death Animations, as that mod is included in the Combined Plugins. You would need to edit the patch to remove No Spinning Death Animations, and No NPC Greetings, if you also do not want that mod. I'm fairly sure that is possible, but I have no idea how to do it, sorry.
  10. If you have the files in overwrite, you must have the mod installed. It's SKSE-Elys-AltF4 in 2.D. Fixes . Generally, you can put the new mods anywhere in the load order, before the patches, depending on the desired result. Check the mod page for any instructions such as "Load before x mod" or "Load after y mod", otherwise it shouldn't matter too much. Check the conflicts tab of MO to see which files are being overwritten to decide exact position. If it goes too far up the load order, it might change the order of some patch masters, but that's easy to fix in TES5Edit.
  11. Thanks Neo. Do you need to select one of the ICH options at the end of the installer? I went in expecting a new option to have been added, but there is now actually one less option in the ICH section.
  12. I've updated to the newer FOMOD Template, but I feel like maybe the options should have changed? The Detailed Instructions page states: But there is no longer any optional file. Do we not need it any longer, or do the FOMOD instructions need to be updated?
  13. I'm busy updating the guide to to a ton of other changes, such as the masterlist being updated, and Krypto updating WAF. I keep getting sidetracked by trying to help my wife mod Skyrim, which is made much more difficult by her having a lame laptop, not wanting to follow the entire STEP modlist, and generally not following instructions. Is there anything that you think belongs in STEP? If there is something in particular, I could try to find time to test it, but my mods are in a real state at the moment, due to updates and me adding Survival mods like Frostfall etc, and needing to reinstall a heap of previous nods for compatibility. I didn't bother installing any of the options besides the Hairy Furry Pelts and I Hold Silver. Silver is out already, and I haven't really looked at the pelts, at all. Pretty sure the donut is out before it even gets a look in.
  14. Do you own Dragonborn? Yes you do, so you move on to step 5.Yes, go to Step 5.No, you cannot use any of the STEP provided plugins.Do you own Hearthfire? Yes, you do, so you use PluginHF.Yes, use the STEP Combined PluginHF.No, use the STEP Combined Plugin.I don't know where you get the idea that you don't have Hearthfire, if you have the full Skyrim package (Legendary). Plugin HF is for people that own Skyrim Legendary (Or at least Dragonborn and Hearthfires) but have not followed the entire STEP install list. All the STEP Patches INCLUDE No Spinning Death Animation is now merged into the STEP Patches, so no need to install it in Section 2.J. Animation & Effects. No NPC Greetings is now merged into the STEP Patches, so no need to install it in Section 2.M Gamplay.Disable all plugins from Static Mesh Improvement Mod that are installed by the FOMOD or BAIN Wizard.SMIM-FurnitureChestSnowFix.esp SMIM-DragonbornTernFix.esp SMIM-DungeonsCliffsIceSkirts.esp SMIM-ShackRoofFixes.esp SMIM-ShackRoofFixesDragonborn.espYou DO NOT need to install any of the files listed above, as they are included in the STEP Patch you are going to install. So yes, you can definitely safely install the patch if one of the mods is not present. You should actually remove those mods.
  15. Kryptopyr has updated WAF, but the wiki hasn't been updated. Just install the main file and read the instructions in the installer. You should be able to work it out. If not, let me know and I'll take a look. I'll reinstall WAF now and see if I can figure out what the new instructions should be. EDIT: That optional file doesn't seem to exist anymore. I've asked in the official STEP WAF thread, so check for an answer there. The wiki will be updated as well. The LOOT rule at the end is now unnecessary as well, those still being there is my fault.
  16. Not a bad idea, especially if you're following the STEP guide. One of the most important things is starting with a proper fresh install. Everything Vanilla, exactly how Steam made it.
  17. I wouldn't be concerned. Stuff like that happens to me all the time, which is why I suggested a restart. A PC running for hours/days/weeks will build up all kinds of crap, which is why a restart is usually the first troubleshooting step, for just about everything. You'd be surprised how many problems with mods are fixed when a user tries rebooting, AFTER trying a hundred other things.
  18. Most likely. Did you alter those settings at all?
  19. That's weird. Try closing Direfox and try again. If that doesn't work, restart your PC, then you should be able to delete it.
  20. All the support for MO is provided here at STEP. If you do run into any problems using MO, we'll be able to help. If you run into problems using NMM, we won't be able to help so much, and as Nozzer mentioned, there will be issues or at the very least some confusion, if you're using NMM and following the STEP guide.
  21. 1. VERY limited support will be provided if you are using NMM. The guide assumes you are using MO. 2. Let's just say mod A provides 150 files, and mod B provides 50 of the same files, only better. You install mod B after mod A, so those 50 files are provided by mod B, and the other 100 are provided by mod A. Mod B overwrites mod A, where necessary. 3. High Quality 3D Map and A Quality World Map provide different parts of the map, to give the effect desired in STEP. Once you have them both installed you could check which files are provided/overwritten by each mod using MO. Not sure if you can check that in NMM as I have never used it, and I likely never will.
  22. The patches are all on the STEP Nexus page. On the main page for the guide, you click STEP Patches, just like you did for all the other mods, and select the appropriate file from the files tab on Nexus. Which file you need depends on your DLC, as described on the detailed instructions page. Since you are not installing all of STEP Core, you install one of the combined plugins. When you answer yes or no to the questions listed, it directs you to another question, until it directs you to which file to use. Use that file only.
  23. Files loaded first, or at the top of the load order, will be overwritten by files loaded later. For example Dragonborn is very high in the list, then it is overwritten by the Unofficial Dragonborn patch, and mods which alter Dragonborn textures. To find out which mods are overwritten by other mods, you can check in MO once they're installed. Right click a mod, then open the conflicts tab. This will show which specific files are overwritten by which specific mods. It also shows how many files are not overwritten, or overwriting and other mods.
  24. That mod is in testing here.Needs to have a lot more of the shrooms done before it becomes a real contender.
  25. There are a ton of weather codes here, some of them don't seem to work, but that may depend on location.https://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Console_Commands_(Skyrim)/Weather
