The drive, or the assigned drive letter, should pose no issue. We'll need to figure out why those files are restricted. Have a look at these links that explain how to grant greater access to files/folders and see if you can regain access to these on your system. Remove "Access denied" How do I open a file... Access denied permission ownership

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Better option is to merge the add-on into the full FNIS mod. Having them separate isn't too much of a problem but there really isn't any need to keep them separate. -

Do you have the same user access on this new drive that you did on the old? Possibly there are access privileges set on it that need Admin rights. Run MO as admin and make a copy of the profile that contains this file and name it something else. Then start MO as per normal and see if this new profile can be accessed.

Farmhouse Chimneys now Version 2.5 with revised FOMOD
GrantSP replied to aba42's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I went through the guide only a few days ago and noted these things down. Good to know there are others actually reading the guide though! -

The thing to remember with this download is that MO is primarily used for mods and this actually a tool. The distinction here is when you right-click on the data folder immediately below the folder named: FNIS Behaviour 6.2 add-on 1MO will complain that there is no game data. That's because there isn't! There is no mod data in this archive. Simply ignore the warning message in the next dialogue. This addon adds files into the "tools" folder of the FNIS install. -

Just use the 2.5 version. Minor guide changes like version numbers will be attended to later. -

Subtitles are determined by the general settings set in Skyrim, bring up the menu by hitting escape and change the settings to show subtitles -- Display sub-heading. Depending on which skyrim.ini you set SPM to look for the intro sequence may or may not be disabled. [General] ... sIntroSequence= ... Note how this setting has it disabled. If the INI used by SPM doesn't have that set, ie. it isn't the INI for the profile you are running it will be another setting. You are probably correct to opt out of using SPM. -
The Windows exception error leads me to believe your crashes aren't necessarily due to load order, but rather a software error. Possibly a NVSE plugin is bugging out? Can you tell if it happens around the same time CASM is due to save your game? I would however consider examining the "easier" options first, such as suggested by @Audley.

hmm... I just ran through that section yesterday and I didn't notice anything odd. Loaded up a game and this time I focused on the sounds as I navigated my way through Helgen. Firstly the sounds of bows and sword hits are very loud, but I haven't compared to vanilla so I'm not too sure if this an issue. But I did notice directionality with my sound, at least I'm pretty sure I did. Taking your tip, I hung back and let the others do the fighting and just moved around them, turning left and right and also going behind pillars, doors or walls and I'm hearing differences in volume and direction, though as I said, they do seem very loud. Shield blocking especially seems over-the-top, but then again I've never been in a real sword and shield battle! Again, I do not have a trained ear and I find it very hard to make comparisons on things that you can't make instant switches between, this is not like looking at two screenshots and deciding which is better/correct! Are you sure AOS is installed correctly and active?

ACCEPTED Skyrim -Community- Uncapper (by Elys)

I'm beginning to like the "[SkillExpGainMults\<skill>] way" more then a flat rate at each level. I also tend to favour the larger boost at certain levels rather than the smaller incremental changes each level. ie. 25=1.0 30=1.05 35=1.1 etc. This whole concept could easily take a few playthroughs to finetune how the various methods affect play. I'm still a little unsure of the way the PCLevelSkillExpMults will pan out when used in conjunction with the above. Should we lower these to take into account raised values for SkillExpMults or raise those also to add further. Still finding my way with these. -
Looking at the few mods that do support FISS, it appears to be a relatively easy thing to implement. I'm assuming most mods haven't because it is still much easier to just enter those few entries by hand and once their in, you never think of them again.
-
You can do that inside MO, so long as no other Windows explorer windows are open to that folder. It will be Windows hindering you.
-
Not really an issue, just curious. Nothing else changes that container or that levelled list entry as far as I can see, so maybe it is a vanilla thing. I just assumed all haralds would be called septims except in dungeons and crypts and places like those. I am right in thinking haralds are an old coin?
-
Hmm... shouldn't happen like that. Let's say you have these profiles; default, new one, another one. The active profile in the left-hand pane is: new one and you use the manager to rename it to: not a new one. You should see behind the dialogue the selected profile change to say default and after closing the dialogue you can use the drop-down menu to select another profile and see not a new one listed. Of course this might also be affected if you have an explorer window open to the profile folder that is being renamed. Windows will be holding those changes in check and errors might result from that. Basically two or more programmes can't be competing for control of the same folder and its contents. One will allow the name change and the other will fight against it. Ensure you don't explorer windows open to the profile folder you are changing.
-
Yeah, on reflection a lot of the mods just don't need FISS. @cdcooley posted on his mod page here that it doesn't warrant it for his. Quite likely most don't. Still it doesn't hurt to ask, at worse I look like an idiot.
-
How exactly are you going about these tasks? Are you using the inbuilt Profile Manager or are you trying to do this via Window's explorer? If you are trying to do this via explorer then you will see problems. If the currently active, and open profile, is renamed outside of MO then the program won't be able to find the paths to the settings, such as modlist.txt, to save any changes. Do all your maintenance of profiles with the manager, it looks like an ID card in the toolbar.

SRB, just to get this clear, those tags you uploaded are to go into the Skyrim\Settings folder? -
I just went with all the listed mods on the MCM page, didn't actually look to see how difficult they were. Going on the assumption that if can be FISS'd, then do it.

I'm not up on Tamriel lore so I don't know if this should happen so I'll just ask anyway: after exiting the cave from the tutorial, I turned and went back up the hill to Helgen, just to do some looting. One of the burnt corpses: TreasBurntCorpse04 "Burnt Corpse" [CONT:00042748] had Haralds on them. Shouldn't someone that was living and working in Helgen only minutes ago have Septims on them? Looks to be something to do with the levelled list entry: LootUrnGoldChange [LVLI:0010FCFD], but I know little about how levelled lists work.

I'm really not too sure why Donald Trump is always on the news/discussion programmes here in Australia, but I stumbled on something that at least affirms my view he is viewed as an oddity by others. I give to you a new programming language: Trumpscript (I don't want to besmirch anyone's political opinions about this man. For all I know he maybe quite nice. The sound-bites we hear though make me believe otherwise.)

I've messaged all the authors on Nexus where I could or posted a general enquiry on the posts page where I couldn't and also messaged the few authors that are here all the time, e.g. Neo & krptopyr. Now I've just got to see how difficult adding in the support is!
