Each user has their own user space in which they can create wikis. Unless you specifically tell people there is a wiki there, they won't stumble onto it, that way you can tinker around until you're ready to release it into the wild.
-
Good pick up. I totally missed that in the OP.

Anything that appears in 'Overwrite' should either be a new file or viewed as such for some reason by MO. (Logs sometimes do this and these can be ignored.) Either delete them or drag them over the mod you created beforehand. So to reiterate, invoke the context menu in MO and "Create a mod..." from the contents in 'Overwrite'. It should now be empty. Make sure that the mod you create is active, ie. checked, in the left-hand pane. Any new files should replace those in this mod and you can simply drag'n'drop them over that mod.

Something is really screwy with your install if you're not getting English as the language on a machine that is English by default. MO will only install the other languages and you will need to choose another language to display the text if you want. Whatever the language your OS is using is the one used by default. At any rate if your happy with what is currently installed, fine, but I would encourage you to follow the steps I outlined above to get the latest install on your system.

ALL the vanilla files should be visible in the left-hand pane and marked as: "Unmanaged: ", unless of course you do not own any of the DLC? As for your questions in post #7, they have already been answered by @GSDFan and @Greg. Note the 'rule of thumb' I mention in my first response about which files will appear in 'Overwrite'.
-
I've just now looked at your other topic and saw the screenshot of MO is using English. If your question above is not MO related could you please provide some more detail as to what is the UI issue and where it is occurring?
-
How exactly are you using MO to mod your game? Looking at the screenshot there are no vanilla files visible in the left-hand pane. While it is possible to use MO a few different ways, as a new MO user it would be best to stick to the more routine methods.

Delete everything in your MO installation except for: Downloads Mods Profiles and your ModOrganizer & nxmhandlers INIs Now reinstall MO 1.3.11 and a complete new install will be available. Depending on what earlier version you had there may have been some changes that didn't carry over with the translation files. It sounds like you had a very old version. Topic moved to MO support.

Undo Overwrite "Create mod" function?
GrantSP replied to cptjimcarter's question in Mod Organizer Support
It sounds like you have created a mod from 'Overwrite' that is comprised of files from many mods. As the MO wiki describes the 'Overwrite' should be kept clear which means the contents need to be handled immediately after they appear. *.ESMs are more than likely the result of your cleaning them, if that is the case you could manually create folders in the MO > Mods folder and move them into the corresponding folders. If these files are not the result of that process you will need to determine where each file needs to go and then move them manually. If you post the contents of 'Overwrite' here we may be able to assist you. -
Locked this as it is answered in the main forum.

Welcome to STEP @MacSuibhne The MO wiki, accessible from within the MO UI or from the links here in STEP, explains what the 'Overwrite' is and what should be done with files found in it. Assuming you have read it and it still isn't clear all you need do is create a mod from the contents and keep it enabled. The 'rule of thumb' with MO is: if the file exists in the VFS it will be edited if it is anew file it will be created and found in 'Overwrite'.

How you stop the time stamp on top of the Wiki from updating
GrantSP replied to Darth_mathias's question in Wiki Support
I don't believe the error is in the code, I checked it when I read the opening post and then Googled for other examples and they all show the same format. The wiki magic word accepts those switches properly and it is some other process affecting the timestamp. -
Slightly off-topic to the discussion but @sgensemer42, you could probably ditch HiAlgoBoost with the system you're running, I don't believe it will give you that much advantage. Of course that's just my opinion, you may like the way it throttles FPS.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
GrantSP replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
With Roy's new 4GB patcher the entire startup is now super quick. Suggest switching over to this as soon as possible. No issues with any 3rd party plugins like ReShade or ENBs and the game is just launched via the original game's EXE name so any mod manager will just work. I installed it as soon as it was released and it is brilliant. -
Discussion thread: FNV 4GB Patch by Roy Batty - LuthienAnarion The original FNV 4GB patcher is now deprecated and this new patcher is to be used to make FNV 4GB aware. Features No complicated launch options needed. Works with Windows Vista to Windows 10 Anniversary Update. Works effortlessly with ENB, SweetFX and Reshade. Supports US-EU-AU / DE (No Gore) / ENPLCZRU versions. Automatically Loads NVSE. 100% Compatible with Steam and Default Launcher. Chicken and Duck friendly. Requirements Legitimate version of Fallout New Vegas. Steam. Installation Place the exe in your Fallout New Vegas game folder and run it. You may need to run the patcher in admin mode. It will patch the game and make a backup of the original executable. Launch the game normally through the default launcher or steam. A batch file is created which you can use to launch the game directly if you desire, however not necessary. Credits Idea, patches - Roy Batty Patcher programming - LuthienAnarion

You should be calling 4GBFNV from within MO. -

Visit on Nexus link on Nexus Info tab is broken
GrantSP replied to Tyenkrovy's question in Mod Organizer Support
Hmm... since I also tried most of those mods, they are listed high int he order so it makes sense to go with those first, and no issues were experienced I think we can safely say there isn't an issue with the code MO uses to call those pages. You, @Greg, do have a different account to me so there may be some difference, though I doubt it. You do say you don't have your account details stored in MO so there may be something in that, I do and always ensure that my account is logged in according to MO's titlebar. Truthfully though I really don't see what, if anything, could be due to MO's code. I'm putting my money on Nexus peculiarities. -
ENB Organizer and Mod Organizer integration
GrantSP replied to Shojiki's question in Mod Organizer with STEP
I've locked this topic as the user already has this same question asked, and answered, in another sub-forum. @Shojiki it isn't necessary to post the same question numerous times and is actually against the STEP Citizenship guidelines. -
Visit on Nexus link on Nexus Info tab is broken
GrantSP replied to Tyenkrovy's question in Mod Organizer Support
@Greg can you give me an example of a mod that exhibits this behaviour because I have never seen it and none of my tests so far have hit one that has? EDIT: Just an afterthought, what type of account do you have with Nexus, Long or short term supporter or just a regular? -
Visit on Nexus link on Nexus Info tab is broken
GrantSP replied to Tyenkrovy's question in Mod Organizer Support
Welcome to STEP @Tyenkrovy What version of MO are you using and which game and mod(s) are you trying to access? The latest stable release of MO version 1 has no such issue with my installations. -
How you stop the time stamp on top of the Wiki from updating
GrantSP replied to Darth_mathias's question in Wiki Support
According to the Media Wiki documentation this magicword only updates when the content is changed, so I doubt it has anything to do with server updates. Perhaps one or more templates where edited elsewhere on the site and this is viewed as an edit on your wiki page? Only guessing here as I can't find any switches you can add to stop that timestamp from updating. -

I purposely didn't mention that tool as I took the view that if @matt is uncomfortable with installing STEP as it is, perhaps adding another layer of software in to it may be too much, especially as it is a command-line utility.
-
Welcome to STEP @matt To be honest I think you're making the process more difficult for yourself than it really is. There are also the Nexus considerations to take into consideration. It is not possible for someone else to download ALL the mods for you and install them remotely, that would mean as far as Nexus is concerned YOU haven't yet downloaded them and your mod status in MO will be incorrect, ie. it will not correctly show the current versions etc. or notify of new versions since your account is not used. This means your Nexus account will be needed to download ALL the mods to your system and this is by far the biggest task to a complete STEP install, once you have the mods the actual installation is really very straight-forward. Clearly setting up a remote access tool is both, difficult and makes you nervous, so that is out of the question. Compiling a complete set of mods and providing that for download is also something that will not happen, for the above reasons and some others. Just take the plunge and do it. Ask questions here whenever you think you need assistance, everyone will be more than willing to assist you.
