If you're looking at the Save tab and see the text 'Missing ESPs', it's not because you are missing esps, That is just the Heading. If you actually are missing any plugins they will be listed, as in this image: I can see how the confusion was brought about and have added an extra sentence to the wiki to highlight this point. Sorry you had that confusing problem.

It has been so long since I actually ran FWE with the full triage option on and I can't remember if what I'm seeing is correct or not. Also looked through the FWE forum and online docs to check but I'm still unclear. When I get crippled, as I am now, I have some braces in my inventory but when accessing the triage menu it tells me my right and leeft legs are crippled and I can't repair them because I lack braces. I see no conflict in xEdit that might have changed their use, so is it just because I lack the specific medical perk/knowledge? Does that mean I do need to find a doctor? This is just the F&L initial run through with only the UI section installed. I went the Alternate start path and I'm in the RobCo factory where a couple of molerats jumped me. I'm probably going to redo some of this since I don't think my UI is working as it should, I can't seem to get aHUD to function correctly, but in the mean time I just need to clear up my lack of knowledge on this.

Hello ZumboPrime, thanks for dropping in and joining the forum. Firstly, nice and clear description of what you imagine the problem to be. A lot of information provided which is always good. Now, as to the HiAlgo issue. I'm assuming you have configured it correctly based on the instructions they provide? All I can imagine is you may be trying to use a later ENB binary to run RealVision than what is acceptable with HiAlgo. As that setup has no real bearing on mods or plugins being missing, I'll leave that alone. I suspect that is actually functioning correctly and you are just looking for possibilities. I think what is actually happening is a rookie mistake that seems to get a lot of MO users. You mention that no matter how you arrange the plugins there is always the warning and an option to "Fix them". Have you read the wiki to see what that warning is actually doing? That warning is to do with your installed 'mods', not the plugins that are loaded. Mods are controlled by the left-hand pane and the plugins are handled in the right-hand pane. When you 'fix' the mods there is no action taken on the right-hand pane and thus any missing plugins are still 'missing' Perhaps if you listed those missing plugins (*.eps) and also gave us the list of installed mods. It could just be that you have omitted an optional plugin or forgotten to install one. Am I on the correct track here? Since the only "Fix" dialog I can think of is that one, my suggestion is based on this assumption.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
GrantSP replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Since getting FalloutNV a few months back I always wondered about the order of those minor DLCs. I usually place them in much the same order as you have mentioned but... since none of them actually overwrite any existing records, just provide new content, I think it will make absolutely no difference which order they are in. At least that's what examining them in xEdit tells me. -
BSA Extraction, is it done at all opportunities it is offerred?
GrantSP replied to GrantSP's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
All that you have just said is made quite clear in your guide, no issue with the mechanics or benefits of BSA extraction, I was just expecting to see some text describing the preferred option for each mod installation, in those "Installation: " sections. Not to worry, I'll just make my own judgement call and if I get any issues I'll re-evaluate those specific mods. Thank you.- 4 replies

Since the guide says to set MO to offer BSA extraction upon mod installation, am I to conclude that it should be done on all opportunities that it is presented? I am only into the UI section and I am installing JIP Companions, and there is no recommendation in the guide as to what option. Upon further opportunities will it always be the same answer as whichever choice is for this one? ie, do I always extract if not given specific advice or do I not extract unless told to?

CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
GrantSP replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
What black magic are you wielding here? Time to re-evaluate my utilities. If they can't find those files, what flaming use are they!! For that matter, why didn't I just look for those? Time to re-evaluate my credentials too I think. Question though? What benefit is it to store backups of those files in the same folder as the originals? Especially since they are just copies fo those files.
-
hmm... I too have never used that function and in the interest of checking decided to make a backup of both my right & left hand panes. The console logs: Backup of load order created Backup of modlist createdbut I can not find any files on my system created with that timestamp, except the ModOrganizer.ini. Nothing else in my MO folder or in My Documents. However clicking the 'Restore' button for either panel lists the backups I just created.

DimmDrive and Mod Organizer
GrantSP replied to thetommartowseries's question in Mod Organizer Support
Firstly I have never heard of DimmDrive so I am only going on what I can find on its website. I would question the prudence of trying to use an MO managed game through a RAM drive. MO will use a fair amount of memory in setting up the VFS it needs and trying to then duplicate into an entire fake HDD that exists in memory seems to me like a reason to be worried. Secondly, in reading your post I feel this might actually be better answered if asked on a forum that specialises in DimmDrive. I get the impression that what you are actually wanting is more related to that tool's use than MO's. -
Warnings when installing XP32 Maximum Skeleton
GrantSP replied to uLoop's question in Mod Organizer Support
There's no problem with your installation. You have the default settings in MO which uses the internal FOMOD installer. If you open Settings -- Plugins -- Fomod Installer, you will see Enabled == True. Those 'error' messages are just that plugin not handling the script correctly, although all the files will be installed. If you want to check that, just change it to Enabled == False and rerun the installer. Give it a new name so as not to overwrite your previous install and choose the same options and then compare the two output folders. I chose the default options to test it. If you do get different results please post back here or create a bug report on the tracker. -
'Random activating/deactivating of esps/esms
GrantSP replied to Bcsp's question in Mod Organizer Support
In the console window at the bottom of MO can you keep an eye on the output when you are attempting to do whatever it is you do that triggers this? plugins.txt, modlist.txt, loadorder.txt & lockedorder.txt will be writing any changes that have occurred during that operation, I guess it might be possible that you are initiating another process before they have finished writing the previous operation. Perhaps the HDD they are on is restricted in some way or maybe other software is taking a snapshot of the status or something that might be retarding the file write? All of what I have just suggested is just conjecture, nothing based on past experiences or reports, just so you don't get too concerned. The thing to remember is that all the settings to display the plugin lists etc. are all taken from text files that are saved from previous operations. If anything interferes with that process then what you experience may happen. -
CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
GrantSP replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
From what you have pictured here it looks like you have no mods installed and are not using SKSE to start the game, correct? With this setup are you still having CTDs? If so I fear you may have troubles with your hardware as there is nothing that you are loading that would cause those issues. Have you ensured you have all the correct software, video card drivers, DirectX, etc. to run the game and have a computer that can handle it? Secondly, and this is not related to your CTDs but you will need to get used to it once your system is stable, the mods on the left-hand side are not automatically sorted by MO or LOOT, you must manually move them into the correct order. Now, the thing to remember is: the mods that you want to have in the game need to be lowest in the order, ie. with the higher Priority Order, those mods listed in that screenshot need to be reversed to match what I posted earlier. -
So NVAC in FO3 can safely be removed? It did strike me as funny that there wasn't a listing for it in the Nexus for FO3, though that in and of itself isn't evidence. Thanks SRB. I'm on a stupid binge at the moment. Why I thought NVAC is only for grass settings is beyond me. Time to take a break.

This is a duplication of a post I made in the wrong sub-forum, stupid me. I have been using a very old copy of Fallout 3 without any DLC and therefore I couldn't use your guide. Just the other day I managed to get the GOTY retail version for a few dollars on eBay. I am therefore in the process of installing these mods following your guide. Just a question on the NVAC plugin. Is there a reason, other than personal choice, as to why the grass ini settings couldn't be applied as a tweak when installing that mod, instead of a general ini edit? I only ask since there is that proviso under NVAC that this setting won't work without NVAC. I'm eagerly looking forward to using this setup. I have already played Fallout 3 many times in the past, obviously without the DLC, and the way you have it setup looks extremely appealing. Also you make detailed instructions for the Fallout Stutter Remover's Heap replacement but leave the setting in Master as 0. Do you not view that aspect of FSR as beneficial?

Yeah, sorry SRB, I just realised I posted in the wrong forum. :O_o: I meant to post this in Kelmych's guide. I intend to do your guided install some months down the track, hopefully with a new system. -

I didn't immediately recognize that acronym and double-clicked it to invoke a Google popup search, it gave me "assistance, aid, help - translated from Finnish." Obviously not correct, it should be "Accelerated processing unit", but I thought, hmm... you are actually providing help. You're not Finnish are you?

I've just always known it was xEdit. Comes from the fact it is the same exe just renamed in much the same way you can get it to be other tools by changing the name, or using switches.

Wyre Bash / MO problem (leveled list)
GrantSP replied to Octavia's question in Mod Organizer Support
This sounds to me like an incorrect installation, ie. one or more tool(s) is installed to look at the data folder outside of MO and it is not seeing the same things as the tool(s) via MO. Could you clarify the version of WB you are using, Python version or standalone? Also the exact install paths and the method of execution you have set it in MO. -

Off-topic but, your left-hand pane needs a bit of attention. All the DLC need to be ordered correctly otherwise the Hi-res DLC will be overwritten. *Unmanaged: Dawnguard *Unmanaged: HearthFires *Unmanaged: Dragonborn *Unmanaged: HighResTexturePack01 *Unmanaged: HighResTexturePack02*Unmanaged: HighResTexturePack03 -

Not really sure but from the terms you list in the post: The Element 'plugin' has incomplete content. List of possible elements expected: 'typeDescriptor'it looks to me like NMM might be baulking at the script. Is it possible to manually install it? -
Mods without .esp files aren't loading (example, Darnified UI)
GrantSP replied to BishyT's question in Mod Organizer Support
As far as I can tell the TMM bsa is just an empty file as is the one from MO. The original Archive Invalidation from Quarn actually had a dummy *.dds file in it and needed to manually add that file to the list. I'm assuming MO magically adds this listing to the ini during runtime because the actual ini doesn't contain any bsa to the [Archive] list. I'm not even sure now if that needs to the case with MO. It's been so long now that I have forgotten what goes wrong if you don't have AI enabled.
