No no Sparrow it will make your computer explode.. not your game! Only mages make your game explode! :P Joke aside then it is ofc. true that in general I am not a huge advocate of more detailed meshes since they are such a subtle performance hog. Most people are just not aware of the fact that they even affect performance. Just look at how many people still think that using higher resolution textures will affect FPS! Another issue is the LOD generation.. which in some locations will just cripple even the best of systems due to some high detail model being loaded outside of sight... quality = 0, performance drop = 100%. Adding more detailed meshes is only going to increase this. If we had an LOD generation where we could be sure that all stuff out of sight would not be rendered at high poly levels then I would be the first in line to get all the high detail meshes I could! :)

You just link the the full size, the site will automatically make it clickable thumbnail.

In general skyrims models have a rather low poly count relative to what they could have... So many models would benefit from an overall improvement, without it being able to affect performance noticeably on a modern PC. It is nice to see more people doing this. Could start an unrelated dicussion about 4k uncompressed textures.. but that would just derail this thread too much hehe.

Well it is a nice alternative to people who do not have the ability to use ENB to get access to working parallax. And most likely it can still be used with certain parallax enabled textures for an even better overall look.

SKYRIMLE SkySight - HD Hi-Res Pillow (not a joke) by fadingsignal
Aiyen replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Those pillows are to die for it seems! -
With snow it really come down to ENB since it is a high brightness, low saturation texture. Depending on the ENB used then the colors will get boosted by a certain amount. A snow texture that looks good in vanilla most likely will have too much color with ENB, and vice versa. also 16k.. I am thinking resolution and then just... cold damn! :p

Well please do Bro! :P We always love more compare shots!

Ramifications of BSA Extraction in Mod Organizer
Aiyen replied to z929669's question in Mod Organizer Support
I know I am going to stir the hornets nest again.. but overall the tone of the OP is a bit too much "Uhhhhh BSA extraction... be afraid, be very afraid". Which I am not really a fan of. I am also confused why there is still a performance related "pros" at all... The difference between extraction and non extraction is so minimal that calling it a performance increase is kinda misleading. Ofc it is system dependent, but for all computers able to even run skyrim in the first place it should not be an issue at all. The reason between doing one or the other should never be performance... it is all a matter of how easy access you want to your game assets. -
It is tempting and something I will have to consider. I am in general not a huge fan of 2nd hand anything electronic.. I just love my warranty etc. But since I am low on money and it is a decent upgrade from the one I would be able to afford otherwise... then just perhaps I might make an exception. Will throw you a pm with some details. One thing I have not really found anything on is the endurance of the surfaces... in general how much punishment can they take? How hard can you press the pen etc. More specifically have anyone with kids had them use it without them destroying it by pressing too hard ?

So this version ? https://store.wacom.com/us/en/product/CTH680/ This is currently the one I am more or less inclined to invest in... seems to have a good price vs functions and accessories. I am based across the North sea in DK.. so perhaps I am interested.

[REL] GOSH - Gecko's Oblivion Sound overHaul
Aiyen replied to lazygecko's topic in General Oblivion Discussion & Support
With the weird trick being to download the mod ? I most likely am missing something quite obvious hehe! Also why would bethesda hate that you make extra content for the game free of charge ? -
Your formID´s should match the core mods, hence renumbering them would most likely break the entire thing. Unless I am misunderstanding something!

SKYRIMLE SkySight - HD Hi-Res Pillow (not a joke) by fadingsignal
Aiyen replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Just to clarify! I did not mean upscale in the bad way (Just load in texture upscale, and apply noise and call it a day!) But it does remain so true to the vanilla that one have to really look for the changes! But still nice work and thanks for taking the time to work on the pillows, and welcome to the forums! -
Skyrim revisited... go from the start, and by the end you should know most of the basics required to do more advanced stuff on your own! That said then welcome to the forums, hope you will enjoy your stay.

Well since those two mods are designed to cause the behavior to begin with then it seems logical that removing them will fix it. I have never had any issues with those mods however.. and I regularly spawn dragon fights all over the place when bored.. even inside the major cities. It was never clear if you added any script based mods to your list after you started playing. Most weird script related behavior can be attributed to this... and in general if you have to resort to actually using save game cleaners then you most likely did something you should not have done in the first place. As a sort of rule then just decide which script related mods goes into a given profile/list before starting and after that then lock it. If you want to add more scripts then make a new profile/list and start a new game. Modding with scripts is not plug n play at all stages. The only types of mods that are plug and play at all points are meshes and textures. Ofc. there are always exceptions and sometimes you can get away with just making a new save moving forward after you added a new scripted mod... however you should then never remove it. So always test out the functionality of a script mod on a new game before you add it to your main saves. Hope that helps a little bit!

A little bit of a tiny necro but oh well! Just to clarify one thing! ENBoost does not "remove" the VRAM cap.. that cap is still 4Gb and that is a hardcoded DX9 thing that nothing short of game engine recompilation to dx11 can "fix". It does remove the RAM cap so you can use more then 4Gb of RAM making skyrim a pesudo 64bit application instead of just a 32bit one.

There is nothing like this to my knowledge. In general few things touch the DLC in general. Good find I would say, and definite potential core material looking at both the description and the art work.

So far it seems that the main issue with many of these is that one kinda needs to get a feel for the different specs. Like what does the difference between 2540 and 5080 lpi mean physically for my hand. Same with pressure sensitivity. Overall I am fairly certain that I do not need to go pro model, since that would just be overkill for both my budget and my skill level. Also since I do plan on my baby girl to actually use it then I favor something in the smaller price range... since wear and tear will be larger. Guess I will have to try to see if one of the local tech shops actually have some test models up so I can get a feel for it... since ultimately that is what it comes down to I think. But thanks for the input phazer! Much appreciated.

As the name title suggests then the topic is drawing tablets. Since I see myself going more and more the way of being creative in the future, then I think it might be worthwhile trying to get some of the fancy accessories which might help out. However I got just about no clue what so ever about what is in up, or down in this world. And while I am most likely going to read like a million pages of review and technical documentation eventually I figured it would be a good idea to start a little debate here! :) So if any of you out there have some of these fancy apparatus yourself then let me know your experience and the pro´s and con´s etc.

A Tweak/Fix for your Shimmering Textures.
Aiyen replied to Nearox's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
The only thing to be mindful of when using ini tweaks to fight Z-fighting is that when you start to get Infinite loading screens and CTD´s etc. there is a high chance for those tweaks being the cause. -
SKYRIMLE Real Shelter - Full Release (by Robinsage)
Aiyen replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Still a few issues with it I have been told... mainly related to the fact that it is script based.. so if papyrus is having a bad day then it will still not produce smooth transitions. If you use an ENB with a weather system then it will need to have the new weather ID´s from the mod assigned as well or it will look entirely off, since it reverts to the default enbseries.ini while inside a shelter, and back to the proper weather.ini when out. -
Why the sun even has textures... all of this should be done via shader effects instead of textures hehe. That said then some people like rays and rainbows. Not many people do these anymore since well... they are redundant with ENB. But most of them have rays.. very large rays.

DROPPED Unofficial Skyrim Patch (by Unofficial Patch Project Team)
Aiyen replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You are kinda limited when your engine is old and not 64bit converted at the time of developement. Sadly skyrim development happened before the "great transition" where most engines etc started to really embrace 64bit, instead of it just being something used for scientific applications. But based on recent and upcomming bethesda releases then it seems their attempt at making next gen titles is going in the right direction.
