  1. I'm guessing the stars mean that you can pick that perk over again. The adamantinum skeleton might make you impervious to limps being crippled. Medic seems like it's a bit much too unless stimpaks are super rare.
  2. Your teachers allow calculators for Calc? I guess I always just stick to conceptual stuff on my exams and calculators wouldn't help either way. Plus, I know you can store stuff in the really nice TIs. Once you start using calc in physics the calculators really help for margin of error corrections. Well, at least the in game hair 2% better. And it looks like the characters have a hip bone.
  3. Don't forget that Beth is a little more focused on quality of the other parts of the game instead of the eye candy. They also have a reputation to uphold of a buggy mess on release. Their games have always had many, many hours of content instead of tons of polish like some Frostbite game. You'll probably never see a game from DICE that has 60+ hours of content. Replaying multiplayer maps endlessly doesn't count. Sparrow, what do mean by a mouthful? STEP or F&LNV? You know how Americans love our acronyms. Just look at any NASA mission.
  4. I'll be doing a guide if I ever find the will to play videogames ever again. Work has been killing me for months now, but that's just the price of success. I usually buy games like Fallout on console and play through a couple times and then it gives modders some time to put some nice stuff out. Then pick it up on PC and mod the game until it explodes over and over again. I need a new rig though. I have a workstation, but all my gaming is done on a laptop. Gotta buy a new one soon and put this old girl our to pasture (AKA my mom's house). Maybe even TC will come back for FO4 and we can just start the whole thing over again.
  5. There wasn't any until zilav created FNVLODGen a few months ago. Jacobstown was in a pocket of mountains so you couldn't see it and all the cactus stuff was object LOD that didn't exist for vanilla. The LOD textures for that game were pretty crap too. 64x64 was the largest size. Grass is handled separately and handled by the uGirds setting, but they capped the grass at 3x3 cells for some reason. NVAC fixed that issue so you could have grass for 5x5 cells. Is this a joke?
  6. Tree LOD didn't even exist in FNV, so the fact that it exists is an improvement.
  7. DOn't bother with it. I haven't seen once where it's caused an issue.
  8. THose small ones are really easy to fix. Takes little time. The big ones are usually done by the most experienced guys. Anyone can submit a fix for the tiny stuff. Create the plugin with stuff moved and then the UP guys can just copy it over.
  9. You can check if there is a duplicate in your mod folder. If not, you probably need to manually move it to the meshes folder for that mod.
  10. I don't know if the new version is compatible with NVR3. You may need to use FCO without the plugins.
  11. Martin turns into Akatosh in Oblivion, but I'm betting he meant Alduin. The fight really isn't much better than any other dragon fight.
  12. Extended Patch updated (finally). I don't think it is mandatory, but it is now up to date with BYOD 3.0. Core only users ignore. NON-ELE patch here: https://copy.com/kiGiWq80fiWP2LkY Next STEP Guide update the NON-ELE patches will be included on the Nexus page. All patches will end up in one download with a nifty installer.
  13. STEP 2292 isn't out yet. This mod isn't in 2291.
  14. Depends on the stopping power that guns have. If you can't ever reach your target then you're screwed. If it's like FO3, then you'll just be able to run up and murder everyone. I'm guessing there is going to be sprinting in the game, since it was added to Skyrim. That will help the melee peeps close the gap fast. You could also dump something into explosives so you can throw a grenade to injure everyone then run up and start chopping away with your knife or machete. Here's the perk chart: Some melee weapon concept art: Guns:
  15. NVAC's best feature is that you don't know it's working. It handles exceptions thrown by the game that would normally cause crashes. For Skyrim the list of specific exceptions that are handled is very small, but those exceptions are some of the more common errors that Skyrim throws. Also, NVAC has some built in heuristics to handle types of exceptions that you may encounter. In my experience it works fine for Skyrim. I was having a reproducible crash in the marsh east of Solitude when I would look back toward the docks. NVAC fixed that crash for me. Then the same was happening in a playthrough I did a while back where I was playing Falskaar. I didn't realize that NVAC wasn't installed, so after adding it I stopped having a crash that was popping up near some cave at the south of the map.
  16. I don't think FO3 or FNV had a way to reset anything. The Old World Blues DLC had something to reset traits I think, but nothing else. Legendary skills in Skyrim might be the closest they've ever come. I really hope that companions and pets have some kind of leveling/perk system.
  17. Don't use the beta version with Skyrim. It doesn't have any extra Skyrim code in it anyways. All that save game stuff added to beta might mess up Skyrim.
  18. FalloutNV.exe is created by the 4GB Loader on startup, so just ignore it.
  19. I've never gotten a really good answer about what you're supposed to do with extensions like that. You gotta play around with it.
  20. Look in the game folder and find the exe folder. THere is probably a d3d9 in there.
  21. Multiple installs of the game? Maybe you were looking in FO3 or Skyrim's directory instead? Seems weird that you'd get the splash screen.
  22. Do you have all the limiters off? Make sure stutter remover and ENB aren't set to 30.
  23. You need a bashed patch to reduce the load order. Also, get rid of the two extra CalbierX plugins, the honest hearts and gun runners ESMs. FNV only allows ~135 plugins.
  24. If you could figure out a way to make those with a little better monitor for cheap, I'd bet you could put em up on etsy for like $2K and get dumb hipsters to buy them.
