Installing PN: Extra Options through FOMM via MO problem
EssArrBee replied to FamousDeadGuy's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
The UI section is the hardest part. Once you get past that everything is pretty simple. -
86% is pretty high. It's 9:15 PM here and still 95 degrees. No humidity though, only ~1.25 inches of rain this year, so pretty much everything is a fire hazard. Also, cheap sandals tend to melt to parking lots. Is there any other NPCs that are in their birthday suits? I looked through just about every leveled list, so not sure if there are any left mess with. LOOT isn't applying my bash tags, so hopefully WB 305 fixes that. I think it may be about to launch.

ENBoost/Skyrim INIs recommended STEP settings wrong?
EssArrBee replied to blattgeist's question in Post-Processing Support
That's just from using a Beth game all modded up. Try using New Vegas with a big gaming rig and the Strip will still give you terrible framerate. -
appdatalocalLOOT... That is where might is at.

Installing PN: Extra Options through FOMM via MO problem
EssArrBee replied to FamousDeadGuy's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
MCM should be fine with MO. Not sure what the problem is. If it says something about Flashlight NV then ignore it or just move Flashlight NV behind One HUD and ignore it if the warning persists. -
Probably need to change the bashed patch instructions.

Installing PN: Extra Options through FOMM via MO problem

Should be. You can also move the file into the MOdownload folder if you like and just install it from the downloads tab. Whatever is easier for you. -

Did you run FOMM through MO? Did you have PN ticked in the left pane of MO when you ran FOMM? -
DROPPED The Skyrim Distance Overhaul (by Grieche)
EssArrBee replied to MadWizard25's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
You will be fine. The plugin does not run any scripts, it just changes some flags on items in LODs, so it cant mess up a save game. Start game, ignore message, load game, make save with new load order, keep playing. -
ENBoost/Skyrim INIs recommended STEP settings wrong?

Setting an FPS cap below 60 seems to add microstutter to interiors. The Skyrim engine is actually designed to be played no higher than 60 FPS or the physics can get a bit weird. Rooms with all the clutter flung around. I think vsync automatically limits the game to 60 FPS, but you will get framerate drops with Skyrim no matter how powerful your system. You could have a quad Titan overclocked monster with liquid helium cooling and that thing would still get framerate drops in certain spots that just aren't optimized. -
A Few Questions About Installation and Compatibility
EssArrBee replied to AddictedxGamer's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You can make a copy of your STEP Extended profile so you always have the STEP Extended build as a backup. When you add new mods use the categories already in STEP as a guideline for new mods. Armor and weapons in the equipment section, animations in the animation section.... New lands and quests should go after fixes I believe. That lets everything else overwrite them. -
The more Delev tags the smaller the patch should get. Delev basically tells the Bashed patch not to forward that particular Leveled List if the last loading mod has a Delev tag so that mod's record wins.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
The configurator built into MO is good enough, but I like using the actual INI Editor myself. It's easy. Yeah, many do nothing and people have been claiming for years they do amazing things. All mutlithreading stuff is crap and if the engine even reads that value it probably does something completely different from what is being claimed so you can cause more harm than good using them. Even tweakguides was including them... I'm very hesitant to add any in. the LOD stuff is what I might add in if anything. -
DROPPED The Skyrim Distance Overhaul (by Grieche)
EssArrBee replied to MadWizard25's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The author mentioned that one of the problems with the vanilla ugrids settings is that they get into your save games. Also there was a recursion bug in the code. If you never mess with the setting it will never really affect you, but why add one more error to your save games? Even if it is harmless. -
No problem. Bashed patch is designed to be rebuilt.

Improved Closefaced Helmets instructions unclear
EssArrBee replied to Chromana's question in General Skyrim LE Support
hmm... not sure what it says not to install the plugins. It should say to install the mod normally, then move the plugins to the optional ESP section. -
Sorry. I saw it on the newegg app. I'm sure you've been on their site before.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
EssArrBee replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
I don't think this will replace the pipboy. It should just be for quick inventory access. I hope we get the ability to hotkey stuff. -
Square Enix bundle is now ongoing. I like this trend of big publishers doing bundles.

Newegg has a big 2k sale with lots of good deals right now.

One thing you may not realize is that high body textures can take up like 300MB VRAM. I use the LITE version of Alt Navetsea UNP for ladies, and I reduced the Better males using the lossless recommended settings and put them at 1k.

Realtime inventory sorter: Looks like the work going into NVSE is going to really pay off. -
Papyrus logs are not useful. Most of the time you have a different issue and think it has to do with something in a papyrus log. Plus, changing ANY values in the [Papyrus] is not recommended unless a mod author directly tells you to do so. Did you set up the memory patch for SKSE properly. That is a big one. You only have 2GB of VRAM, so make sure you aren't using a bunch of 2k resolution textures for exteriors, that will make you hit the VRAM limit really fast. Consider optimizing Better males and whatever female replace you are running or see about a lower resolution version. Having good framerate is not indicative stability because you have two cards, but only 2GB VRAM, so you could run into a cap quite fast. I have the same issue with a 2GB card and have to downgrade some texture resolutions to get my game more stable.

That makes me think something is tagged Delev that shouldn't be.

Wait for 2.3.0 or dive into 2.2.9?
EssArrBee replied to Chromana's question in General Skyrim LE Support
STEP 2.2.9 just released and we still have quite a bit to hash out before 2.3.0, so don't wait. 2.3.0 will be a shift toward packs being a bigger part of the STEP experience so we need a while to get all that done. You could easily get a playthrough done with 2.2.9 before we release 2.3.0.
