I'm also still experiencing this issue, and I remain completely bewildered as to how to solve it. I attempted to get support from AMD over this issue with no luck from either their support e-mail or their support forums. I see this issue in screenshots from time to time, so it's likely that it's a more widespread issue than I initially supposed.

SKYRIMLE NSFW: Lore-friendly Bodies
Harpalus replied to Harpalus's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Updated with the stable release of this pack. From now on the pack is in maintenance until/unless I fix the weight slider issue. I hope this pack remains useful: as it is now, it serves as a set of recommendations for people that want nudity yet also want vanilla bodies, with another focus on less gendered/sexualized armor. It is maximally compatible with most things. Not installing the armor portion makes it completely compatible with everything. Minor texture seams can result from the use of CBBE bodies with vanilla outfits: these are only noticeable with skimpy armor and clothing. Fixed forsworn meshes are included. I suspect most people using this pack won't be using skimpy armor and clothing anyways. I will consider reviving my goal of a minimalist character overhaul if there is any interest. It was removed out of concerns over compatibility. It would definitely conflict with Requiem, for a start. I didn't want to install a full STEP Extended and full SRLE in order to get the appropriate patches made. If there are any issues, please let me know and I'll fix them. -

XCE as a base and then Mature Skin or TDOS on top of that. Add No More Ugly Bronze Shine 1.4b on top of that. I'm assuming you're using CBBE vanilla body meshes here (or at least CBBE or UNP), because I'm not certain Mature Skin or NMUBS will work on the vanilla body. In all honesty, I wouldn't worry about conserving VRAM in regards to body meshes. If that's seriously a concern for you then I believe CBBE has a lower vertex count than UNP, but JK's Skyrim uses far more VRAM than CBBE ever will in comparison to vanilla, even with dozens of actors walking around. You'll want to use DDSopt (with the help of the STEP guide), use lower resolution textures, and perhaps avoid Skyrim Flora Overhaul if you want to save on VRAM. This guide will be intended for people who want nudity in their game: STEP is already working on a solution to vanilla female body meshes. This guide is intended in the spirit of STEP Packs: I'm not replicating work done by STEP. If STEP decides to include options for nudity then this pack would cease to exist (unless I sort out the muscle slider problem). For SweetFX I recommend ZeroENB personally. ICIBINE is pretty popular, but as a big Grim & Somber fan, ZeroENB is the closest SweetFX preset I found. I posted some advice on remedying the oversaturation in the comments section. If you dislike the look then use the newest ICIBINE instead. On the Modular Morrowloot Overhaul STEP wiki page there is a post I made about testing your game: included in it is a colour test, with recommendations for testing out ENB/SweetFX/Imaginator colors. -
Apologies, then! I saw "fixed", and my mind immediately leapt to the texture fixes for some reason. Thank you for making the merged FOMOD.

There is a fix here by TechAngel. I believe it fixes the texture holes present in Cover Khajiits. I haven't tested used Cover Khajiits in ages because of this, and I'd never noticed the fixed textures. Thank you, TechAngel! (Sometime I'll make comparisons for Gamwich's textures).

Correcting some misinformation on my part. Apologies! I had previously stated that I was wary of using Deadly Combat in conjunction with TTRSO because I was concerned that the changes to armor would conflict thematically with TTRSO. This change was apparently only one conflicted record, easily remedied in TES5Edit or just by loading TTRSO after Deadly Combat. I still have no idea whether I prefer Deadly Combat to Ultimate Combat, but I'm currently testing out a combination of Deadly Combat and Action Combat. With a controller I don't have any extra buttons, so I don't use Dual Wield Parrying. Action Combat has a parrying feature that I like instead.

SKYRIMLE NSFW: Lore-friendly Bodies
Harpalus replied to Harpalus's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
True Daughters of Skyrim is just a face/body texture overhaul. It improves all NPCs and the player, but it doesn't include the body meshes (for those, I use CBBE). I believe it does include vampire textures, but I'm not sure without checking the mod again. I've actually changed my mind again - I'll recommend V2 of Mature skin Textures (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32986/?), which are incidentally the same textures recommended in SRLE. You don't need No More Ugly Bronze Shine with it. I'll be recommending some beast textures to complement Mature Skin Textures, as that mod doesn't cover beast races (or men, for that matter). For now, I'm still working on things and waiting on feedback. (I have two exams next week, as well). If you want to use the literal vanilla body mesh, then my pack isn't for you. STEP is making a female body pack that will better suit you. When I release V1 of this pack it will include some armor mods, however, that you may want to try out. My pack will use CBBE with a body that closely matches the vanilla female body. If you're downloading armor for a different body, you would prefer to use CBBE in that case (although the body underneath won't be shaped the same as they are naked). If you don't want to use a body mod at all then I believe that vanilla textures map onto UNP bodies better than CBBE bodies (meaning fewer seams). As far as I know, XCE won't be dropped from STEP. You can verify this for yourself by reading the relevant thread. Even if STEP were to drop XCE, I would still recommend it in my pack: I prefer its eye textures in many cases, notably the Bosmer and Altmer (which are "humanized" by most other eye texture mods). I hope that clears up your questions! I have several reasons for delaying things: I'm still cleaning up textures, I'm wavering on what Argonian textures to recommend, and I'm hoping for some feedback on my earlier posts. Nevertheless, I expect to have everything cleaned up and uploaded in the next while. The next step from there will largely depend on the perceived work required to accomplish the original goal of this project (a different weight slider), whether this is even possible to implement in a compatible way, and whether there's sufficient interest, or whether I should keep things simple and stick to "vanilla shaped" bodies. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Interface Makeover (Fhaarkas Font Mod) by Fhaarkas
Harpalus replied to MosAnted's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Unless I'm missing something, I believe the author increased menu size because the vanilla menus have clipping issues on some resolutions when using wide fonts. I experience clipping issues using Fertigo Pro where the text is too long for the MCN menu with a 1920x1080 TV screen, for example. Widening these menus resolves the issues. Presumably I would similarly experience the "squashed font"/"too-narrow menus" using this mod's font if I stopped using its large menus. Of course, I play Skyrim from the couch so some larger menus aren't a big deal to me. I don't know if it's a good pick for STEP or not, but I like SIM. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Interface Makeover (Fhaarkas Font Mod) by Fhaarkas
Harpalus replied to MosAnted's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I love the font, first of all. I also like that it fixes every instance of text clipping that I know of when using wide fonts: no other mod does this that I'm aware of, and I wasn't using font replacements for this reason until I found SIM. Both the font and the widened menus are unique to this mod. It also has decent fonts for books and letters, and some other installation options that I'd normally need separate mods for. I turn off enemy markers and undiscovered locations, personally. I like that I install it once and it's done. No extra ESP slot, no extra MCM menu. No saving or loading of presets. I'm not suggesting any of the above is harmful, just that this mod pretty much meets my UI needs without them. I like the comparative simplicity. -
I don't see what value it adds, but I haven't been posting long and my "reputation" is apparently 4. I don't see what correlation it has to posting. I checked it yesterday as a result of this thread and it was at 6, and I don't believe I've even posted since then. The board administrators are sufficient to ensure good behaviour, and my reputation hasn't seemed to rise in relation to my more helpful posts since I began posting, leading me to believe it's somewhat arbitrary. I haven't used the feature, I admit, either to give "negative" or "positive" reputation. Of course, my opinion on this matter isn't worth much by z929669's metric.

Instead of Dragon Soul Relinquishment, have you tried the badly underrated Ziil Los Dii Du? It's made by the author of TTRSO. It's quite lightweight and nicely balanced. If you miss a method of getting new perk points (particularly for people that don't use Better Leveling/Uncapper), the TTRSO author recommends pairing it with the very lightweight Dragon Blood. I find the default drop rate of 75% to be too much, so I usually lower it to 25% or 50% in TES5Edit. Aren't there compatibility problems with Thunderchild and TTRSO? I'm back to using TTRSO, but I decided to disable its speech tree after reading this. To be fair, Thunderchild already buffs many shouts and lets you gain Speechcraft experience when shouting, and the USKP fixes the Speechcraft tree a little.

STEP could recommend that users hide the Altmer and Wood Elf eyes, which are in my opinion the problematic textures.

Doesn't it break third-person aiming when the camera is adjusted? The description and comments seem to indicate that. It recommends Proper Aiming as a solution to that, but Proper Aiming doesn't work with a number of in-game spells. Not being able to aim properly in third-person sounds like a good reason to exclude this one from STEP. The response: It would need a second mod pulled into STEP along with it. However, from the Proper Aiming description:

There's a thread for it here. I confess to being a SkyUI - Away user. I only play with controllers and a TV console-style and I like the comparative simplicity of the vanilla menus. I never use the extra features provided by SkyUI and it looks a little too much like a spreadsheet for my taste. I know I'm in a definite minority, however. It was already mentioned, but the Skyrim Interface Makeover fixes overlapping text issues in some places and gives me a pretty good HUD and font to boot. Two SkyUI files need to be hidden if you're a SkyUI - Away user like me (inventorylists.swf and itemcard.swf, in the interface/skyui folder).

I haven't had a chance to test out the riekling mod, but I vote yes to this one. The optional files probably won't make it into STEP, but I like them as well: wooden walls make a little more sense to me than "book walls", even if it is Apocrypha. The other two are comparatively "STEP friendly". I'd vote yes on the riekling mod going by screenshots and some direct texture comparisons (outside of the game), but I haven't looked at them in-game yet.

As I mentioned above, there seems to be a change in 2.0.6.
-
Did you read the linked thread? The USKP hasn't changed the lvlpredator script since 1.3.3 outside of an unrelated minor fix in 2.0.6. I don't see any other reference to that script since 1.3.3. From the USKP patch notes (emphasis mine): The USKP patch will not work on predators added by mods or on any modded vanilla predators that don't forward the new USKP keywords. The linked patch fixes all predators, even those added by mods. It still has some value. Some papyrus log spam isn't really a big deal, though. Or do you mean that this fix is being included in the next USKP version?

Another alternative to Convenient Horses is Horse Commands. It's what I use. It does everything I expect from a horse mod and has a much lighter script load than Convenient Horses. Immersive Horses looks like a nice middle ground between the two: it has more features than Horse Commands but is lighter than Convenient Horses. Sometime I'll have to do a more thorough in-game comparison for myself. I don't care about the name. This mod has been ridiculed unnecessarily because of it, particularly on Reddit and indirectly through a few new April fools "immersion" mods on the nexus. Is everybody going to continue mocking mods simply because they have the word "immersive" in the title? Outside of the Nexus comments section I've seen more criticism of the name than discussion of the actual mod. Even the new Immersive Compass mod has taken some criticism over its name, despite the name being very appropriate for it. Has anybody been using Immersive Horses?

SKYRIMLE NSFW: Lore-friendly Bodies
Harpalus replied to Harpalus's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Thank you for the suggestion and for bringing this to my attention. I almost posted a response a few minutes ago, but decided I should try this out first. I'm glad I did, because this works better than I expected. I can increase bicep size on my character, and best of all her armor sizes with her. That's pretty great. A well implemented solution using this would provide complete compatibility with armor and clothing so long as it is intended for the vanilla body. I could fix up my sliders to be essentially the default vanilla body without breast scaling and I would accomplish with a RaceMenu-based solution what I set out to do without needing to adjust any clothing or armor meshes. I couldn't get it to work on any other NPCs, but I'm sure there's a solution to that. Sufficiently large values also created bad scaling issues. It didn't adjust the lower arm in proportion to the upper arm, detaching her biceps from her arm. Keeping things to low slider values would sidestep this issue. I have an idea to get around all of this in a relatively lightweight fashion, but I don't know how to code it. It would theoretically be possible to make use of the breast size slider to automatically reduce or increase breast size of both the player and all NPCs proportional to their weight. This could be done when loading a new cell. Increasing the bicep sliders proportionally at the upper end of the weight slider would improve things further. I could include custom meshes for the prisoner clothes in order to keep things consistent when adjusting the weight slider in a new game. I was hesitant to include RaceMenu as a requirement and initially skeptical of this solution, but my initial impressions are pretty good at the moment. Solid recommendation. I think that this functionality could be tied to NetImmersive Override, for people like myself that don't use RaceMenu. Still, I'd happily add Racemenu to my load order if it was necessary to get this working. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Am I wrong in any of my assumptions here? -
This is a fair point. I'd forgotten about the missing master issue. This could be remedied by merging it into the STEP patch, as mentioned above.

I'm holding out a little longer for permissions. If I don't hear back in the next few days, however, I'll do some final testing and release the first version without my argonian texture. Thank you for the clarification. I still won't recommend it, however. I don't use Racemenu, and setting weapon placements every new game sounds annoying. -
CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
Harpalus replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
To be fair, the installation instructions and readme in the enbdev download both state this clearly. -
This doesn't remove the alchemical effects, it balances them. I dislike the unbalanced values that 101 Bugs uses. With the default values I see little point in using any of the vanilla ingredients because of how underpowered they are by comparison. I think that either this should be in STEP, or that 101 Bugs should be removed from STEP.

So who hopes that when Elder Scrolls 6 comes it will use...
Harpalus replied to MitchellKrever's topic in Step Banter Inn
Most development budgets already devote far too much money to graphics at the expense of gameplay, though. If anything, I'd much rather see the industry lose its obsession with good graphics. I still play my PS1 and PS2 games often, and I don't particularly care if the textures and meshes aren't up to modern standards. -

Honestly, until they can release a VR headset that won't make me throw up, I'm hoping they don't waste any of the development budget on that. I don't care if the graphics don't get upgraded at all: I'm more interested in gameplay. I'd much rather have (for example) NPCs with better schedules and towns that are bustling and feel alive.
