  1. All I can say about JK's Whiterun is WOW!!!! There are some really nice touches, especially the Skyforge and Warmaidens. I ran the DOW compatible version and both work together really well. In fact JK's version is so good I am thinking about dropping DOW and using the full version of JK. In fact I will just to try it out. I didn't notice any problems with REGS at all.
  2. The only place I used to get a FPS hit in Whiterun was standing on top of the stairs outside Dragons Reach and panning across the entire town. In the end I dropped amidianborn Whiterun - even though I love the look. I followed Noobzor's idea of dropping a lot of texture packs. Although truth be told over half of them have crept back in. The vanilla roads look terrible!
  3. Thanks Chris. I'll check it out. I don't have any problems with DoW. I am curious if it will work with the other REGS mods I use - Nernies, Better City Entrances and Sewers. Edit. Now that I've looked at Hodi's video I don't think there will be any conflict with the other REGS mods....and it looks really well done. I'm definitely trying this out. Thanks.

  5. I haven't tested in game yet but his Magnetic Mara looks very impressive and gives it more of a polished sandstone statue appearance.
  6. I've been trying to play the REGS quests for ages now but get too caught up doing the vanilla thing and survival mods. Anyway I've now checked all the quest mods and made a note on how to start them so I can work my way through the list. It might be worth mentioning in the guide that a number have a recommended minimum start level:- The Lost Wonders of Mzark Lvl 25 The Secret of Dragonhead Lvl 30 ORS The Gate of Solitude Lvl 35 ORS Morthal Pain Lvl 38 The Temple of Black Rock Lvl 40 The Shadow of Meresis scales with character and I know Predags mods do as well as I've finished those. I have no idea about 13 Oranges (Sea of Ghosts, And the Realms of the Daedra, No Mercy) as I can't search the comments on Steam I assume FAtT can be any level as it seems more about exploration - although I once stumbled into The Aldmeri Domain (III) by accident at a low level and got my butt handed to me. I've played half of Helgen Reborn (3 times now - must finish it on the next playthrough!) and imagine Lvl 10 would be about right? Any idea on Moon and Star? I know Wyrmstooth and Falskaar are new worlds and not specifically quests. Any level recommendation for those? Thanks :)
  7. I'm the same. I recently started watching sorcerordave and it just makes me want to play. Gopher's tutorial video's lured me across from console to PC (haven't looked back) but I havent watched any of his let's plays. I've got to stop watching Hodilton though. Everything he showcases looks amazing and i just want to download those shiny mods!

  10. Haha. You'll see I absolutely haunt that forum. My secret is out! I've done a lot of testing on the beta's so know HB pretty much inside out. V1.4 Beta 5 is quite stable. V1.4 Alpha should be out in a couple of weeks. Check out the new wicked master bow once you level up scrimshaw. Perfect for a hunter playthrough when combined with Hunting in Skyrim. Unuroboros has another ridiculously underated mod called Draugnarok, where the Draugr rise up and take over Skyrim (zombie apocalypse). Here's my feedback on it "Draugnarok totally blew my mind! If you have a character that you are bored with and want them to go out in an absolute blaze of glory defending the world from the zombie apocalypse then this is it! You have never seen Skyrim like this. NPC's that you know and love will die! The list of casualties will be high and forever growing. Forget quests, you are fighting for your life. The mod plays out like a horror movie and builds and builds and builds....It was a load of fun."
  11. Hidden Hideouts looks good thanks. I'll add another recommendation CKotNR for when you just want a simple camp setup - particularly if you want to use Hypothermia instead of FF REGS recommended Inns and Taverns is really handy as well, especially the Icy Mammoth in the frozen northern wastelands BTW HB is a cornucopia of hidden survival features unlocked through making and drinking strangbrew and levelling scrimshaw skills to create weapons - one of my favourite mods!
  12. Holy crap! you've definitely got a stalker there. I didn't even know what reputation was, but someone has gone and downgraded all your posts. Rather vindictive and purile behaviour. I hope you get to the bottom of this because you have certainly been very helpful to me and others in the past.
  13. I run those mods without any problems or conflicts with REGS. They will no doubt change your playing style. You'll spend half your time ensuring you have food, the right equipment, setting up camp and making sure you sleep enough. This isn't a bad thing, it's just different and exploring and quest completion will take muuuuuuch longer. Great fun for roleplaying. I recently dropped all my needs mods to do more questing but ended up putting them back in because ultimately I enjoy the play style.
  14. Thanks for this one. I notice the mod author is working hard on this mod and releasing quick updates. The next one sounds really good with a ship visiting on Fridays and markets selling wares popping up in the village to cater for the new visitors. BTW did you sort out your Kahjiit caravan issue with the new game? Yep, read the comments though as there were a few issues with the update. You'll notice a new file has been uploaded but it still uses the same v2.0 file number. Any problems seem to have been resolved.
  15. missjennabee has been waiting for the ELFX update before she releases ETaC 13 (incorp Is) which will use the new ELFX meshes. I'm a little vague on this but from reading of various comments it is only recently (weeks) that anamorfus allowed the use of his meshes in other mods for ELFX patching. So I would expect that the other mods you mentioned wouldn't have been using ELFX meshes at all but their own version.
  16. Wow! This takes me back to my school days playing AD&D. Great fun! Does anyone still play it? I would have thought that PC / console gaming would have destroyed table top games. Guess I'm just way out of the loop....
  17. Thanks. That's not one I use. There are a couple from STEP that I have purposefully left out - but don't tell anyone shhhh. I don't use SFO either. I think I'll look up some Papyrus tutorials and see if that is enlightening. Could be something other than graphics related. I recently added CM New Companions which places 30 followers all around Skyrim. Maybe the Morthal one is trapped under a wall. LOL
  18. Is anyone getting CTD's around Morthal with the new ETaC wall (or should I say CCE)? I've got 4GB VRAM with all the memory tweaks. My frame rate purrs along nicely, mostly at 60FPS. But Morthal is giving me grief. Admittedly I have loads of texture packs and heaven forbid I am thinking of following Noobzor and dropping them to fix this :( I can't even get close enough to see the city. I've already dropped my survival mods to limit any scripting and focus on quests instead of cooking. The only other thing I can think of is ASIS, SIC and Immersive Patrols, but there aren't any spawn points in that area that I am aware of. Any thoughts? Would Papyrus logging voodoo help to find an answer?

  20. I'm with you. Having played almost every quest multiple times. I realised EBQO was taking up a bunch of esps and I never even read the objectives. Nowadays I use a mod that cuts down a lot of the dialogue in the responses (whilst still being immersive) simply to keep things flowing. I didn't see Kryptopyr's quote on the dead mage previously. Nice pick up! Darwin's theory in action!
  21. I recently changed from OBIS to ASIS but I can't be sure which one I had installed for my naked hunter. Ralof and Ulfberth are always naked in my game since I started using a bashed patch. I can resetinventory on them which fixes the issue. Although Ulfberth still doesn't wears shoes - I guess he's a touch bohemian. I've always had CCOR installed and had no problems with naked dudes before the bashed patch - so I don't think that is the cause. Oh and PCS is supposed to fix the naked courier issue from memory - so this one is a vanilla problem I believe.

  23. I'm interested to know this too. Ever since I started using bashed patches I have the unfortunate pleasure of encountering a few naked NPCs. I am pretty sure your hunter was one of them as well. I thought it might have something to do with a mod changing the vanilla armour making it inaccessible to some NPCs.
