  1. Thanks for the recommend. I'll give this a try. Do you know if BTT, BMT, and the patches merge ok? I'd prefer to reduce the new esps from 4 to 1 :) Thanks
  2. I would say yes to both. 1 definitely. 2 I'm 99% sure that would be fine. Cheers
  3. Whiterun has the biggest hit. I drop to around 40 looking toward the markets from the gates. Rorikstead has the next biggest FPS drop at the southern entrance where a lot of the plants and crates are added. Minor stuff compared to what they offer in return. The rest of the cities don't give me any FPS issues at all. My rig is pretty good though so YMMV.
  4. JK doesn't use unique Form IDs for his cities. He already had about 5 under his belt before I started doing the merges so it was a bit late. However all of the current and future merges are the same load order so it should make any patching easy. Because the vanilla buildings aren't moved there doesn't seem to be much of a requirement for patching. Any issues can usually be resolved with a couple of console disables if they are a concern for people. As for W&C holidays I've only heard of an conflict in Riften with a clipping food table. Haven't tested myself yet. I stopped using BFT a while ago because it felt like cheating so can't report on that. I haven't noticed any inconsistencies with NSutR, but minor things can easily go unnoticed unless I am testing a mod. Once all the cities are done I will probably make an ELFX patch. To be honest this hasn't been much of an issue at all, until Morthal where there is quite a bit of duplication. The patch will just remove some, maybe 10 or so, of the ELFX lights that currently clip or are duplicated across all the cities. JK is undecided about Winterhold, but I wouldn't be surprised if he does cover it off to complete the set... One day I'll get to play Far Cry 3 and all my other steam games when I eventually tire of Skyrim in 2020....
  5. Hey Nearox, I'm doing all the merges for JKs Skyrim. Once you finalise which JK cities you wish to use I can post a REGS version to simplify things. JK still has one or two towns to go. But who knows, he may still keep going. Cheers
  6. The script shows 1.8 in the drop down. But when you read the information and file header of the merge it will show which version you are using.
  7. The latest beta is 1.8.8 and it's rock solid with more functionality than 1.75 :) Mator will be releasing the new version very shortly. Edit* Mator put out a new script last night. 1.8.9 beta. This is probably the last beta before public release.
  8. Haha! Fantastic. Thanks for posting.
  9. I've been using Mator's 1.8.7 beta script for the merges which allows me to only renumber conflicting Form IDs. I keep the load order the same for each merge. Any new towns I'll add to the bottom to make prior patching easier. Also all versions will share the same esp name in future releases. JK still has a few towns to go so I think anyone planning on doing some patching should probably wait as this is still a work in progress :)
  10. I do a strict WAO install. Mainly because I helped with beta testing and like to keep things tight. Plus I haven't been bothered to go back in and tweak things because I liked what I saw and heard. 1. No 2. The one recommended by WAO 3. No, but sounds interesting 4. Not sure whether you mean textures or darkness. Pure Weather - which is part of WAO - has a fantastic variable darkness depending on the weather. Clear night skies is almost as light as vanilla. Overcast nights are pitch black and will give your Wearable Lanterns a full workout! 4a. If you mean textures you can change them to suit your taste. Just be careful with the clouds and the rain because I believe UnmeiX links these specifically in the WAO mega patch. 5. As Hishy says - easily mergable. Cheers
  11. Daaggar, you are absolutely right about REGS and the choices / direction . Being a guide I sometimes have a more flexible approach. That said I could post a REGS version on JKs Skyrim. Perhaps if someone wants to let me know what is best? Currently I think it is the major cities bar Riften without Whiterun Outskirts. Any changes / suggestions? Cheers.
  12. It's vanilla. They don't appear until after you have told Balgruuf about Helgen and then Irileth assigns some guards to protect Riverwood. The location you mention is where they setup camp.
  13. There are now a few versions of JKs Skyrim, splitting the towns and cities for more compatibility. Should make things a bit easier. Cheers
  14. Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year
  15. No problem running ETaC modular for the cities not covered by JK. There are some minor ELFX compatibility issues. I've noticed 2, maybe 3 but they are not game breaking and can be fixed with the console if they worry you.
  16. Yes, HHoS is now fully navmeshed. I merged all 4 together HHo Skyrim, Cities, DB & DG and have had it in my load order for 6 months. I thought they would come in super handy with Frostfall when I am lost in the wilderness and freezing. Funny think is I have never found one hideout - although to be fair I don't use the compass at all. I guess it's a bit like Isoku's Rainbows. They only seem to come around once every 200 hours but when they finally appear it is quite spectacular! HHoS will probably stay in my load order for that wonderful moment when all is lost and I literally stumble on a hidden location that saves the day!
  17. The JK outskirts compatible version simply removes Whiterun. I've tested JK's Whiterun Ouskirts, Better City Entrances and ETaC Whiterun Exterior and the 3 play together very nicely. There is only one area that has some clipping. It's not noticeable unless you go looking for it so I won't tell you :p Suffice to say that it can be easily fixed with console if it bothers you.
  18. Thanks obdown. 2 is better than 5. I'll have a play around and probably merge those 4 with some other mods to save some spots. Probably Better City Entrances and JK's overhauls which merge very easily anyway. Cheers.
  19. Happy Birthday CJ2311! Of course this is just a guess :)
  20. I'd say the new version will be released any day now. Alpha and Beta testing is I believe complete and UnmeiX just needs to add the various lighting configurations. I didn't have any performance hit at all. The addition of Pure Weathers ultimately gives more weather variety. Currently there is vanilla, COT and ESS, so this gives a fourth range of weather. PW sunsets are pretty amazing. BTW UnmeiX also has another mega patch titled RSE - Requiem Survival Experience. It combines Requiem with Hunterborn (my fav mod), Frostfall and RND. I'm currently using this alongside WAO for my first Requiem play through. It's challenging :)
  21. @Fuzz. The looping sounds have been fixed in the new version which is about to be released. If you do experience this then a quick save and load will resolve the issue. @Darkside. Check with UnmeiX, the mod author. He is very helpful
  22. Glad you got WAO working ok. I think you'll be impressed in game. It has the best of everything. I haven't found any conflict with REGS or STEP. Amazingly the Pure Weathers version is in addition to COT, so it's not a replacement. I've been helping with the beta testing. But in the meantime the current WAO will work just fine.
  23. I use WAO - Weather and Ambience Overhaul. Great mod that combines weather, sounds and lighting mods. The mega patch has been meticulously crafted so all mods work together seamlessly - quite incredible that you get the best of all worlds in this one. There are a number of lighting options available depending on your preference, plus some specific combinations. It will save quite a few patches in your load order as well! The author is about to add a Pure Weathers version in the coming days.
  24. Thanks hishutup for the advice. The problem is BetterDGEntrance.esp doesn't seem to want to play ball. The following records failed to copy: GRUP Exterior Cell Block -1, 1 from file BetterDGEntrance.esp GRUP Top "WRLD" from file BetterDGEntrance.esp I've had a look at that entry and it is worldspace stuff covered in red. I can understand that DG is the loser with placed objects but I can't figure out why it won't copy. Reading the mod forum it appears I am not alone. Plus it hasn't been marked green as a mergeable file in T5E which isn't good news. Hoping the collective STEP minds might have already found a solution, since the 5 mods are part of the REGS install. Cheers.
  25. Has anyone had any success merging Point the Way More Immersive Dawnguard Entrance Unique Border Gates Unique Border Gates More Immersive Dawnguard Entrance Patch Unique Border Gates Point the Way Patch I'd love to get these 5 esps merged into 1 but I keep getting errors. Any clues? Thanks.
